I have been doing the low FODMAP diet for 5 weeks now, I first suffered from constant diarrhea and now during this diet my symptoms seemed to have turned around. I don't have diarrhea anymore, but still am facing the same amount of stomachache and the rushed feeling of diarrhea whenever I need to use the toilet, but now I can't relieve myself anymore (this happened with my IBS-D as well, but at least I could produce stool whenever I went to the toilet) now I always feel even more as if something is stuck, which comes with stomachache and anxiety. I made considerable changes in my lifestyle, doing the diet, exercising a lot more, no more alcohol, etc. But it all seems to help so little. It is the worst in the morning. Today I ran late for an appointment, again, because I know that if I step in a car feeling like this, as soon as I get stuck in traffic for some reason my body will be like 'okay, now I will allow you to actually produce stool'. I don't get what is wrong with me, the doctor's don't know, all I know is that life is disappointing me a lot lately and I don't know if I hate IBS-C or D more.

I don’t know what’s going on ever, at all. I am trying to think of how to word this. I think I am okay right now but I don’t feel right. A long time ago, I felt like lain was god. I was the messenger to connect and help people understand what it means to connect. That we will live inside the computers. Not physically. Mentally, you could connect. I would scour the internet and find websites that would show me answers. I would be able to talk with people through their mind. Whole conversations. I felt like I was being watched, like there are eyes everywhere, and you can see them too if you squint through the screen. I had a panic attack. Hey so basically I'm just working out, l've been going for a little more then a year and have made good progress since when I started, but I'm starting to slow down. I currently do about 4 sets of every exercise that I do, and I'm not sure if that's working for me anymore. I've heard about high intensity low volume training and it sounds interesting to me. It supposedly works super well and it could drastically cut down on my time spend in the gym. At the end of the day I'm trying to build muscle volume, I don't overly care about strength. Would this switch to high intensity help me achieve that goal better?

I’m 35, female, Dutch, but live in New Zealand. I have had IBS symptoms since I was 23 (I was never formally diagnosed but the doctors assume it was as all my symptoms match this, as well - bloating from certain foods/drinks being my main issue). I went to my doctors around 2018 as I had a 2-month “starvation bout” in 2015, and another 8-month one in 2017 (no appetite/hunger, mild stomach pain/discomfort when eating, foul-smelling stools, 5kg weight-loss the first time, and 12kg the second time). The doctor told me to just “Google the FODMAP diet”. I begged her for a blood test to check my stats but it came back negative. I then went to another doctor (as the previous one was clearly useless) and he was also annoyed I was never actually checked for celiacs, etc. However, test came back negative, again. There was never a mention of possible pancreatitis or EPI or anything in this area. About two months ago I went to a doctor to ask for bloods (related to something else) and they happened to notice my iron and B12 were low and my lipase was 110 (not “high”, but should be lower). I then got another 2-month starvation bout at the same time, same symptoms as 2015 and 2017. I have just provided a stool sample (which I will get the results, soon, to see if it could be EPI). My question is: is it possible to have EPI but not have persistent/permanent symptoms, i.e.: only get a very mild version of it, or just “sporadic” instances? I’m only asking as I don’t ever have the typical EPI symptoms, otherwise. It’s been an emotional couple of months and a frustrating few years, but am glad to see the more positive stories on Reddit, so thank you guys for helping the rest of us not feel as worried/scared ❤️.

For context: my girlfriend and I have been dating for nearly 3 years. I am ready to be engaged, etc. I want to start my life. But, being a secret gets to me. I have to watch what I post, what I say, what I do- always. I feel like I am being pushed back in the closet.
I am 23 now, and I came out when I was 18. I know how difficult it is to come out, so I would never pressure her. But, I feel it’s not fair to me.
I love her so much, but it is exhausting.
We live together in our college town which is ~15 minutes away from where she lives, ~1 hr from where I live. It is a 2 bedroom apartment to make it seem like we are just friends, which isn’t a bad gig cuz we have a storage room lol. But we stay here pretty much all the time, even in the summer, and she will still lie often about where she is to her parents. She’ll say she’s somewhere else with someone else.
It also hurts because she makes it out to be that i’m a weirdo to her parents. Example: my family threw her a graduation party, and I posted pictures on fb (where I have her mom as a friend) and said we are so proud of you, etc.. She lied and said it was a memorial day party & I did all of the decorations, even though she told me she didn’t want me to. So her mom kinda thought that was weird.
I just don’t know. I am so lost. Do I stay?

I’m starting my search here in this subreddit because I’ve got this burning desire in my heart to reach out to gamers, geeks, otakus, weebs, nerds, and everyone in between with the incredible love of Jesus. You know, diving deep into those communities, connecting with like-minded individuals, and sharing my thoughts and experiences through a personal blog.
But, let's be real, the internet can be a tricky place, especially for Christians trying to navigate with mindfulness, humility, and without isolating ourselves from everything. It's a nuanced tension and balancing act, avoiding controversy while still being able to make an impact.
So here's the deal: I've come across a few websites, but they just don't have that lively, relatable vibe that I believe would truly resonate with our target audience. I want to make a difference, but I don't want to do it alone. That's where you come in!
I'm on the lookout for a Christian friend who shares this passion and can help me stay accountable in this exciting endeavor.  | I'm new to mountain bikes. I mean I grew up riding a variety of bargain Walmart MTBs casually but that was it. submitted by Stolles to MTB [link] [comments] I'm now looking to get a solid one for casual riding at first, to get my fitness up and improve my mental health. I don't have a lot of money and it's hard to save much more and not have to wait 6 months or more. Essentially I just really need this for my declining mental and physical health, all I do is go to work and home and I remember riding my bike was what used to get me out of the house. I want to pick a somewhat decent bike so that I can maybe take it on a couple of easy trails near me when I get more confident. The area I have to ride on is a desert dirt road, not very hilly but there are some dips and washes.  | Little bit of context, I’m a 33f who recently had a left hemithyroidectomy due to suspicious nodules. Luckily, they were not cancerous. However, I had hashimotos so bad that my surgeon was surprised it was so small when he took it out, about half the size it should have been (4.3g left side). About 6 months prior to surgery I had to be taken off of all meds because I was having heart palpitations almost every night, even though my TSH wasn’t excessively low. My endocrinologist thought my nodules might have been secreting thyroid hormone, causing me to fluctuate between hypo and hyper. submitted by Penguination32 to medical [link] [comments] I had my surgery 4/4/23 and now I’ll have odd cardio symptoms at night every so often. Sometimes it’s like a cell phone vibrating in my chest that shuts off briefly and then goes back to buzzing. Like: bzzzzzzzzzz shoop….bzzzzzzz. Tonight I just have this weird pressure on the left side of my chest, so I decided to take an ecg with my Apple Watch. When I’m having symptoms, this type of ecg wave is pretty common - I have a few records showing this - so I’m starting to worry that it might be something more serious. Is this something I should seek immediate medical attention for? Or just schedule a follow up with my PCP? |

This is an update on my previous post from 20 days ago. I haven't had any AP since, a couple of lucid dreams though. Until this morning that is ;)
Recently, after the end of a tough semester, my friends and I decided to go on a trip to celebrate. I came back two days ago, pretty sleep deprived. Another great opportunity to experiment!
I slept at 1 AM because my sleep schedule was still out of order. But I woke up really early at 6 AM for some reason. I tried some techniques, still nothing much. Chilled for about 2 hours then got drowsy. Started practicing techniques again. This time instead of falling asleep I felt my body get really heavy and slow, while my mind stayed completely alert. Then some vibrations started. Not as strong as the time I described in my last post. (I was told the vibrations weaken over time). After the vibrations, I tried to sit up. It worked. I sat up but I couldnt see much around me. I tried opening my eyes but only my physical eyes would open a bit and I would snap back. Repated this again, same result. On the third time something different happened. Instead of sitting up, I rolled to my right side, where my room window is located. This time I left my body, I could see, and I left through the window. I explored the immediate surroundings of my house a little and counted some tiles as verification. (Still haven't verified yet, i'm writing the post hahahaha, will update)
Disclaimer : This next section will be a description of the lucid dream I had after the OBE, so you can skip. I am using these posts as a journal so please understand.
Then I snapped back to my body and entered a strange lucid dream. I was in my bed, and my phone was floating near my head while playing some weird satanic song, and as it got louder, my surroundings started turning a reddish/orange hue. I put an end to that quickly by muting the phone and imagining a white/ blue light taking over. Then I was on a balcony, and I could see a gorgeous night view of a city, with a backrop of stars in the sky. (Which would be impossoble in real life due to light pollution hahahaha). All of sudden, from behind the city, a celestial body emerged and started orbiting. Follower by a huge number of them. I wanted to see more. And all of a sudden I was on a distant spaceship observing everything from afar. I could see a huge cluster of stars and planets orbiting around each other, kind of like those youtube videos where they zoom out on the solar system.
I woke up about 45mins to an hour later. And that was the end of that. Now I will go count tiles outside like a maniac👍
