30 years ago I got herpes from a neighbor I was involved with. When the sores first appeared, and I was diagnosed, I was devastated. I went into fix it mode, I kept toilet paper and hair bands around my genitalia and changed it daily. With no internet like we have today, research was hard to do. I thought to myself that bleach everything, I took cotton swabs and would dip them in bleach and would hold/roll them on top of the sores. Perhaps I killed some of the virus, but I ended up with slight chemical burns. I did this for a couple of years…to no avail. They would come back with a vengeance and it seemed like they even spread. At one point I had a couple of sores on my lips, I tried putting bleach on it also but my lips would swell up and I remember the humiliation of going to work and people saying “what’s wrong with your lip!” I tried to hide it, grow my mustache really long as to cover the area when I had a breakout.
Fast forward a decade or so and at some point in the early 2000’s , I was working swing shift and was listening to Paul Harvey and the rest of the story on AM radio. He told his story about a Native American cure made from plant that seemed to cure herpes. I was floored, I now had internet and started researching the name of the balm that he mentioned, I have long forgotten it’s name, but doesn’t matter since it was too expensive for me and so I passed. But during my research I came across published medical reports and other testimonies on how to cure….full disclosure this is a burner account and I’m not trying to sell anything or profit in anyway.
What I learned, was zinc could kill the herpes virus, I believe the same way zinc attacks the cold virus. Not all zinc is equal, don’t use the zinc that you apply to your nose. I used zinc gluconate, I bought the zinc daily supplement put a couple pills in a shot glass with a tiny amount of water to help them dissolve. After an hour or so I had a milky white substance, I would rip the blisters open early and douse liberally using cue tips on the affected area every few hours and placing a bandaid over it.
I noticed that after several months my infections became smaller, lighter and dried up faster. Because the virus hides inside you and makes an appearance on the surface of your skin to replicate, every time it made an appearance I put zinc on it, this killed and disrupted the virus life cycle. It took 10 years or more of this routine before they were gone forever.
I haven’t had a breakout in 7 years, you will need to play the long game, this is not a one and done scenario. I will say it was probably easier as a male since I have external plumbing, however I did read a medical report that spoke of inserting tampons soaked in a mild solution of zinc for the ladies that had good results.

I just got Alt Store installed and one of the annoying things was not being able to get the Wifi Sync to refresh.
My setup: Modem that goes to a router that acts as an access point. This access point router has an ethernet cable connected to my PC. My iPhone uses the access point for WiFi. I used a lightning cable when installing Alt Store.
First I had the issue that "AltServer could not be found". So I tried disabling my firewall and it would work suddenly. So I knew the issue was something with the firewall. Eventually I found that iTunes would only connect to my iPhone wirelessly if my firewall was disabled. So the issue was with iTunes and the fire wall. I tried to make an exception for every program, but I couldn't find which one needed access. Eventually, I went to https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202944 and found that UDP Port 5353 is the port which needs to be allowed through. So to fix this issue, I ran these steps.

1. Windows Key -> Windows Defender Firewall
2. Advanced settings -> Inbound Rules -> New Rule
3. Select Port -> Select UDP -> Enter 5353 in specific local ports
4. Select Allow the connection -> Select all Domain Private Public
5. Give it some name. I called mine "_UDP5353 Custom Inbound" and write it's for "iTunes connecting to iPhone wirelessly" in the description

Now I ran the following steps to refresh on my iPhone without connecting it with a cable from my computer. I don't have Alt Store or iTunes or iCloud enabled on startup.

1. Launch iTunes
2. Unlock iPhone. This was an important step to connect to iTunes
3. Wait for iPhone to appear in iTunes. This can take 30sec-2min
4. Launch Alt Store with Admin privileges
5. Check Alt Store in the system tray that it can see your iPhone. If it can't, try the following:
   1. Press start, and type "services.msc". Open "Services".
   2. Look for the "Apple Mobile Device Service". Restart that service.
   3. Once restarted, give it a minute, and you should be able to see your device in AltServer
6. Attempt to refresh apps in the Alt Store

If you get the message "AltServer could not find this device", then try step 5.

Me and my girlfriend have been together for four years now since high school. Going strong but we are bound and have to run into some relationship issues. Her and I finished the school year and heading into summer now, but she is taking summer classes. I’m starting to feel uncomfortable with the fact that we barely talk anymore. She’s double busy with work and education while I really just work for our trip in a few weeks. I absolutely love her, I literally squeal and giggle thinking about her while I’m trying to sleep. But this silence has been eating away on me while my loving thoughts are keeping it at bay. Today we had a picnic at a park with pizza, fruits and the works but we barely talked on the drive to get the food and on the way to the beach and at the beach. We did cuddle and the like but what happened to the conversations? Her and I are very talkative people but it just makes me upset when I start talking and she gets confused of what I’m trying to say. She decided to have us watch a show (The Fosters) since we were sitting in total silence eating fruit, but a couple notifications pop up of her friends talking about whatever random things they talk about.
Now to connect her friends, me and my gf. I am so proud that she was able to find new friends during the last year after her close old friend has a falling out. Maybe it’s jealousy or us getting used to each other but I kinda get a weird feeling when she chats with her friends with paragraphs while I get a “oh cool” or “lol what?” In our messages.

1. Digital Logic With Feedback. Multivibrators

With simple gate and combinational logic circuits, there is a definite output state for any given input state. For instance: For each of the four possible combinations of input states (0-0, 0-1, 1-0, and 1- 1), there is one, definite, unambiguous output state. However, if we alter this gate circuit so as to give signal feedback from the output to one of the inputs, the outcome is a little bit different: Since the output feeds back to one of the OR gate’s inputs, and we know that any 1 input to an OR gates makes the output 1, this circuit will “latch” in the 1 output state after any time that A is 1. When A is 0, the output could be either 0 or 1, depending on the circuit’s prior state. The proper way to complete the above truth table would be to insert the word latch in place of the question mark, showing that the output maintains its last state when A is 0. Any digital circuit employing feedback is called a multivibrator. The example above was what is called a bistable multivibrator. It is called “bistable” because it can hold stable in one of two possible output states, either 0 or 1. There are also monostable multivibrators, which have only one stable output state (that other state being momentary); and astable multivibrators, which have no stable state (oscillating back and forth between an output of 0 and 1). A very
simple astable multivibrator is an inverter with the output fed directly back to the input: 9.1. The S-R Latch A bistable multivibrator has two stable states, as indicated by the prefix bi in its name. Typically, one state is referred to as set and the other as reset. The simplest bistable device, therefore, is known as a set-reset, or S-R, latch. To create an S-R latch, we can wire two NOR gates in such a way that the output of one feeds back to the input of another, and vice versa, like this: The same multivibrator function can be implemented in ladder logic, with the same results:
In a bistable multivibrator, the condition of Q=1 and not-Q=0 is defined as set. A condition of Q=0 and not-Q=1 is conversely defined as reset. If Q and not-Q happen to be forced to the same state (both 0 or both 1), that state is referred to as invalid. In an S-R latch, activation of the S input sets the circuit, while activation of the R input resets the circuit. If both S and R inputs are activated simultaneously, the circuit will be in an invalid condition. 9.2. The Gated S-R Latch It is sometimes useful in logic circuits to have a multivibrator which changes state only when certain conditions are met, regardless of its S and R input states. The conditional input is called the enable, and is symbolized by the letter E or sometimes EN. When the E=0, the outputs of the two AND gates are forced to 0, regardless of the states of either S or R. Consequently, the circuit behaves as though S and R were both 0, latching the Q and not-Q outputs in their last states. Only when the enable input is activated (1) will the latch respond to the S and R inputs. In ladder logic the function looks like this:
The S-R gated latch symbol is shown below: 9.3. The D Latch A D latch is like an S-R latch with only one input: the “D” input. Activating the D input sets the circuit, and de-activating the D input resets the circuit. Of course, this is only if the enable input (E) is activated as well. Otherwise, the output(s) will be latched, unresponsive to the state of the D input. The ladder logic of this function looks like this:
The standard symbol of a D Latch is shown below: D latches can be used as 1-bit memory circuits, storing either a “high” or a “low” state when disabled, and “reading” new data from the D input when enabled. 9.4. Edge-triggered Latches: Flip-Flops A flip-flop is a latch circuit with a “pulse detector” circuit connected to the enable (E) input, so that it is enabled only for a brief moment on either the rising or falling edge of a clock pulse. Pulse detector circuits may be made from time-delay relays for ladder logic applications, or from semiconductor gates (exploiting the phenomenon of propagation delay).
The ladder logic version looks like this: The symbols for flip-flops look like this: The triangle symbol next to the clock inputs tells us that these are edge- triggered devices, and consequently that these are flip-flops rather than latches. The symbols above are positive edge-triggered: that is, they “clock” on the rising edge (low-to-high transition) of the clock signal. Negative edge- triggered devices are symbolized with a bubble on the clock input line:
9.5. The J-K Flip-Flop Another variation on a theme of bistable multivibrators is the J-K flip-flop. Essentially, this is a modified version of an S-R flip-flop with no “invalid” or “illegal” output state. A J-K flip-flop is nothing more than an S-R flip-flop with an added layer of feedback. This feedback selectively enables one of the two set/reset inputs so that they cannot both carry an active signal to the multivibrator circuit, thus eliminating the invalid condition. When both J and K inputs are activated, and the clock input is pulsed, the outputs (Q and not-Q) will swap states. That is, the circuit will toggle from a set state to a reset state or vice versa.
The ladder logic equivalent looks like this: The symbols for J-K Flip-Flops are shown below:
9.6. Asynchronous Flip-Flops Inputs Asynchronous inputs on a flip-flop have control over the outputs (Q and not-Q) regardless of clock input status. These inputs are called the preset (PRE) and clear (CLR). The preset input drives the flip-flop to a set state while the clear input drives it to a reset state. It is possible to drive the outputs of a J-K flip- flop to an invalid condition using the asynchronous inputs, because all feedback within the multivibrator circuit is overridden. 9.7. Monostable Multivibrators A monostable multivibrator has only one stable output state. The other output state can only be maintained temporarily. Monostable multivibrators, sometimes called one-shots, come in two basic varieties: retriggerable and nonretriggerable. One-shot circuits with very short time settings may be used to debounce the “dirty” signals created by mechanical switch contacts.

25m, single, living with parents, working full time in an active overnight job.
Some days I spend all day in my bed. Often hooked to mindless consumption (Youtube) and eating snacks. This week was an especially bad week where I spent both of my days off in bed and I am getting to the end of my tether.
On my days off from shift work I will flip my sleep pattern back to a normal routine. I can wake up, get showered, have breakfast, do some chores and what I need to do for that day but always just find myself back in bed. I am always drawn to it. I understand that it is a safe space for me but I want to shake that and build a better relationship.
I have looked at getting a folding bed to perhaps store the bed away in the day but unsure if this routine would stick but willing to try anything. Also considered going for a complete digital detox and just using an old nokia phone for contacting friends/family/work.
Any advice/suggestions welcome :)

Thank you again to everyone who has commented and given heartfelt advice on my precious posts regarding my boyfriend’s 15 year old dog who came back from a stay at BF’s sister’s house covered in foxtails.
I was able to get him into a vet and to an experienced groomer. The groomer was incredibly kind, thoughtful, gentle and patient with Senior Dog. We thought we’d have to shave him which can be detrimental to huskies, but the groomer was able to avoid that by spending (another) four hours using a high powered blow dryer to part his fur section by section to find and remove the additional foxtails. He is confident that he got 99% of them out - even one between Senior Dog’s toes that the vet had missed.
So many comments suggested that I ditch my boyfriend and keep the dog. I did not blame my boyfriend for his sister’s actions. I do, however, blame my BF for the way he handled the situation and the lack of gratitude on his part. I’m not saying he should have brought home flowers or anything, and he did say thank you - but the fact that he expects me to put out these fires every time because I don’t have a career that I’ve invested years into & he does is really grossing me out. Additionally he insisted that he didn’t know, but how could he not have known …? He dropped Senior Dog off. He didn’t constitute this as an emergency situation and if it were up to him he would have waited until the weekend when he has time off. He thinks I am overprotective of both of my dogs and overreact when something seems off about their health. My dogs are my children and I would literally sell my organs on the dark web if it meant saving them.
So (most of) you will be happy to know that I am reconsidering the relationship. Unfortunately I cannot take Senior Dog - BF would never let that happen and I’m not comfortable opening myself up to potential legal trouble, etc. I don’t necessarily want to leave SD in his care though and so I have a lot to think about.
To end this on a positive note, Senior Dog got a big dinner of (plain) rotisserie chicken, sweet potatoes, a chunk of leftover steak, and fish oil for being so brave today.

I (21F) am a nosy lady. I’m guilty, I invade anyone and everyone’s privacy. If you’re sitting next to me texting someone, I’m most definitely reading that conversation. In the beginning of our relationship my boyfriend (22M) had always accused me of cheating, lying, or talking to other men. We started living together 4 months in temporarily, and one day I decided to go on his Ipad. I had went through his phone before and I had found some evidence of him texting a girl, but it was later communicated and solved. This time I went through everything, his notes, pictures, messages, browser history. Everything. I found out he had been lying to me on when his most recent relationship was, when he had texted her last, and how their conversation was inappropriate. Fast forward and we’ve been dating almost a year. He works a job where he travels a lot for work, and when I had visited him he sent me home with an iPad he had used to give to one of his friends. This opened an outlet for me, I would check again. Everything was mostly clear until I reached his google photos. I found nudes that weren’t mine, lingerie pictures, so many photos with different girls, his exes, and some of his exes nudes. Those were hard to see, but the big hit in my gut was seeing him propose to his first ex, which he has never told me about. I feel ugly, like I haven’t been enough, like all the photos we have are forced or have no meaning. Why does he need to keep those photos? Why do men safe keep those things; how come our relationship hasn’t made him realize that those pictures aren’t sacred for our relationship, and he should’ve deleted them i don’t know how to bring it up, i never had permission to look through it, and anytime i have a problem or insecurity, somehow it ends up my fault. What's going on?

A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface.
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.
Had a call with Reddit to discuss pricing. Bad news for third-party apps, their announced pricing is close to Twitter's pricing, and Apollo would have to pay Reddit $20 million per year to keep running as-is.

What's the plan?

On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app.This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.
The two-day blackout isn't the goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.

What can you do as a user?

• Complain. Message the mods of reddit , who are the admins of the site: message reddit: submit a support request: comment in relevant threads on reddit, such as this one, leave a review on their official iOS or Android app- and sign your username in support to this post.

• Boycott and spread the word...to Reddit's competition! Stay off Reddit entirely on June 12th through the 13th- instead, take to your favorite non-Reddit platform of choice and make some noise in support!
• Don't be a dick. As upsetting this may be, threats, profanity and vandalism will be worse than useless in getting people on our side. Please make every effort to be as restrained, polite, reasonable and law-abiding as possible.

I just recently started learning the language, so I’m still not very comfortable with the use of particles. However, I believed that for indication of time, we use ‘ni’. For example, if I wanted to translate ‘I hang out with my friends on the weekend’, I would say ‘shuumatsu ni tomodachi to asobimasu’. However, the app I’m using says ‘shuumatsu wa tomodachi to asobimasu’. Now, is that a nuance about certain time phrases that I’m missing, or is that latter sentence just highlighting ‘the weekend’ as the topic, ie saying ‘As for the weekends, I hang out with my friends’. In that case, is the former translation still grammatically accurate, or is it an error to use shuumatsu ni in this context? Can someone elaborate on the differences between the two more?

Women during this era began adorning various styles of traditional sarees, which eventually evolved into the half saree we recognize today.

The hot and muggy climate of South India played a noteworthy part in the advancement of the half saree. I lost my cousin at the start of the year. I am an only child and my father died when I was young so he was like a brother to me. He lived in my father's country where I spent the summers with him. I was really badly bullied for my background, early 2000s was not a good time to be the only brown kid in school. He talked to me every day after school on messenger to make sure I was okay. Every single day. He let me follow him around like a lost puppy when I was young. I didn't know he was protecting me. I wanted to be like him in every way. He could make anyone laugh.
The last couple of years his country has been getting more unstable and dangerous. My family owns a factory there and we were facing a lot of intimidation and threats from different groups. When he died everything else in my life had been really coming together. I was dating someone I had liked forever who didn't judge my family. I was promoted and had moved cities for work. I am not a spiritual person but I feel like the universe or God or wtv sent me a sign in my ex gf and I ignored it.
The two years before he died he was different. He would disappear for weeks at a time. He was getting these horrific headaches and had to stop working. Before we dated I told her how much she reminded me of him when she made me laugh. Yet when she told me to reach out to him over and over again I didn't listen. There was all these signs when I was kid I just didn't see. He hated being touched, he'd wake up gasping from nightmares. When id ask what he was dreaming about he'd make up something ridiculous to make me laugh. He would never take his clothes off or go swimming with us. He said he was allergic to the sun. When I was 8 I saw the cuts on his chest, the sheer number of scars. He made me promise to not tell and so I never did. A couple of months before he died I knocked over a pile of papers at her house and saw a discharge form following a suicide attempt. I knew she had been very ill and even had something nicknamed a suicide disease but this said from ptsd from stomach turning things like cp. Even after seeing that, after she explained away the scars on her legs that looked like his and hid like him, the way she she hated being touched, the way she woke up gasping and made up silly nightmares... I refused to listen to her. I remember the last time she tried to get me to reach out. He had messaged me some weird stuff apologizing. She told me to tell him not to think things that he would end up writting in his note to me. I swear she knew what was coming. I couldn't do it. I dont know why.
They found him 3 weeks later. The note he wrote me on his laptop was time stamped to the day she and I had that conversation about reaching out. He outlined all the abuse, the trafficking/cp he had endured, his failing health, and the drugs he used to cope with the pain. He was sure that everyone would be better off without him in their lives. I can't forgive myself for being wilfully blind by own ego thinking I knew better. I've been drinking a lot to cope.

After reading some messages, it clearly wasn’t. They have known each other for about two months and they have already said I love you, and lots of cringy sexual messages. I pointed out how weird this was, and she said “I don’t actually love him.” I got upset and said “how are you supposed to have a healthy relationship if you can’t even be honest with each other, or even have a friendship before being sexual.”
I told her to not do anything sexual and see if he sticks around like she thinks he would. She said she would. However, a month later, curiosity got the best of me and I wanted to see if she actually did take my advice. After a quick scroll on her phone, there were overwhelming amounts of sexual language insinuating they had already had sex. She doesn’t know I saw these messages.
This is extremely frustrating to me because after the last situation, I thought she would be in therapy, focusing on school, and overall doing positive things to work on HERSELF! But instead, I feel like she’s repeating a toxic cycle since she can’t be friends with someone before feeling the need to have a sexual relationship with them. Not to mention, she isn’t on birth control and has never been checked for STD’s. I’m not even sure if she uses protection at this point.
I need help on where to go from here. She knows where I stand, which is why I’m sure she hasn’t told me. She is the youngest so our parents are not as strict on her as they were with me so they don’t even notice. I’m scared she will end up pregnant and even more depressed than she is.
Do I talk to her about this? Do I let her learn the hard way? I’m honestly stuck and sooo frustrated and disappointed. I don’t want to be her mom, but she really has her head in the clouds at this point and I feel like I shouldn’t stay silent. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me!! Just wanted to ask if Canada will eventually get an actual rewards program?? It’s pushed on us to get people to sign up but imo it feels pointless as soon as they as me if they get point or actual rewards. The negatives far outweigh the positives.
A) our computers at the register regularly “forget” the info (phone and email) of members
B) if they try to use the app for coupons or their rewards barcode, it hardly works and always tells them they’re using the wrong app, and they aren’t
C) they’re are coupons in emails but they bombard members so much that they just unsubscribe
D) our policy says that you can use email OR phone but computer requires both for signups and it turns down a lot of the older gen
C) policy also says you don’t have to be a member to use military, teacher, or seniors disc but says it’s required if you try applying it on the computer.
Overall from the feedback I’ve received, it’s really more a nuisance than it is rewarding.
I also feel like an a-hole whenever a military, seniors or teacher comes in asking for a discount and I have to pull out the “well you have to sign up” it feels scummy, especially when it says you don’t have to sign up.
