This subreddit is for anything pertaining to state parks! There is a subreddit for National parks and I wanted there to be one for state parks as well because they were such a huge part of my childhood and are still a major part of my life.

Hello (sorry for the long post, but a lot has developed):
I live in a relatively small apartment; there's about 16 total residents in 2 buildings (8 per building) for the "complex".
We have a "shed" in between both buildings, which is where our router is located, and various extenders at different locations in the buildings and outside; we are unable to purchase our own Wi-Fi, as there's no cabling running through the building, and are stuck to use the apartment Wi-Fi.
This is where the problem comes in, and where I need help with.
For the past 7-ish months, the Wi-fi has been very inconsistent. It will randomly disconnect A TON. However, it happens infrequently. There's been periods of DAYS without any disconnects, other days it will work for 8+ hours until the disconnect(s) arise, and there's been days where it disconnects every few minutes.
Now to explain the actual problem: By disconnects, the internet, just, well, stops working for a minute (give or take), and proceeds to start working again after the little "spurt", until the next little "spurt". [ex. If I do a speed test, and get 30/10 (which is the general speed I've been getting at times when the internet works since mid-march), the speed test during the disconnect (granted if the page even loads) would be somewhere in the ball-park of 0.1/0 to 10/3 (yes, I've done MULTIPLE speeds tests where the upload speeds would be a flat ZERO, and the download would be below 1)]
This led me to 3 different potential reasons, all of which (I think?) might be ruled out:
1) There's an issue with the extenders/wiring/router that's causing the disconnects
2) The internet drops during periods of over-usage by all us tenants
3) It's a problem with my devices.
Now, I said that I feel as if I've ruled these out, so *MAYBE* someone can read what I say and tell me that I'm actually wrong. I'm hoping that's the case, so I can actually understand what's happening, because I'm completely lost and the tech company doesn't help.
Important extra info: I've been talking to tech support about this. Our internet provider is spectrum, but our complex has us call this small "3rd party" tech company near us (I always get on the phone with the same 2 guys) who handles the internet for us (not exactly sure how it works, but they have access to all our speed info). Anyways, I'm going to relate what I say next to this tech company.
TO RULE OUT POINT 1:
Sometime in mid-February, when I kept repeatedly contacting the tech company, they finally decided to come out (after claiming that apparently I was the only one having an internet issue) and found out one of the extenders outside was filled with water, and that all the tenants were connecting to one singular extender. They replaced it (didn't fix issue). They then decided to replace both the modem and router, which DID fix the issue for a couple weeks (first time in 6 months I had consistent internet!), but, once again, the issue started up again. The only real reasoning I had to rule this out was because of how INCONSISTENTLY it would cut out. I'd figure if it were an issue with the cabling, it would CONTINOUSLY happen, not work fine for a random day (let alone 2 weeks!), and then struggle for the following two.
TO RULE OUT POINT 2:
This is what I WOULD THINK would be the issue. However, the tech company INSISTS when I contact them that the usage rate isn't even remotely high in comparison to what it COULD be when I claim the internet is messing up, and they say the usage rate isn't the issue.
*for extra info, our landlord sold the property to a different company, who decided on actually upgrading our internet speeds in late February. This, on TOP of the replacement routemodem meant that my MAX SPEEDS in early march were consistently hitting 50/10 for like 2ish weeks. But, like I said, the problem has returned, and now my top speeds are around 30/10 (I have NO IDEA what happened there)*.
TO RULE OUT POINT 3:
All of my devices in the home deal with this issue AT THE EXACT SAME TIME. If my wifi starts struggling on my PC, I'll check my devices, and vice-versa. They work when there's no issues, and all stop working when the internet issues arise. It seems simple to count this one out.
Now, HOPEFULLY what I've said makes sense.
Like I said, I've talked to the internet company extensively on this, and, to be frank, I'm pretty sure they have absolutely NO idea what's going on, and either think: A) I'm lying, or B) I'm being EXTREMELY stingy with the internet (which, I at least don't THINK I am, because I think infrequent transitions from dial-up speeds to quality internet would upset anyone, no?). They're even MORE confused, because apparently I'm the closest someone in the complex can be to the routeextenders, and I'm still having issues.
Some "statistics" I've heard them mention on calls before:
- My connection strength sits somewhere around 50%,
- The usage rate will be at around 20-30% when I claim the internet is dropping,
If anyone has ANY idea on what could be happening, or at least what I SHOULD be doing please let me know. I've contacted the tech support people each of the last 3 days, and have been left on read over each of those texts, so at this point I'm losing hope.
tldr; internet has frequent disconnects, tech company *claims* it's not the usage rate, I've ruled out the possibility of it being my devices as this issue, and the landlord upgraded the internet speed, as well as the tech company replacing the routemodem fixed the internet for 2 weeks (first time I had consistent speeds in 6 months), but the issue arose again.

TLDR: My estranged mother keeps trying to use emotional shrapnel to try to lure me back in to a relationship - most recently claiming she needs to discuss her will with me. I feel like it's time to extinguish her hope once and for all, but I'm not interested in cruelty. How do I get her to just leave me alone?
So, trying to keep this short, I've been estranged from my mother for years. She has always been incredibly difficult, and I knew from an extremely young age that I would never have chosen to know her if I had any choice in the matter. Lots of emotional neglect, bullying, weaponized shame and physical abuse in our house.
My older sibling (mid 40's) has never been employable, and had lived with our mother off and on (mostly on) for about 20 years. Almost 7 years ago sibling got full custody of their school age child. One family dinner was all it took for me to know that I could not watch this child have the same childhood my siblings and I did.
Looking at the situation, the only influence I had was my presence. So I wrote a long letter telling my mother how traumatic it was growing up in her home, and letting her know I would not be present to see another childhood shredded by her parenting.
The ultimatum was this: Take parenting classes, and get therapy, and attend family counselling. OR I simply will not see her again and our relationship would be completely over. Either way I wouldn't watch my nibbling suffer.
Predictably, she refused to acknowledge the letter to me and disposed of it, but went around crying about my cruelty to everyone who would listen. Nearly a year later, she realized that I was serious, and arranged a counselling session for the two of us. I went, out of a sense of obligation, but by then I had realized how much better my life was in every measurable way. My blood pressure had returned to normal and I got off meds, my self esteem had shot up, I was smiling and humming to myself nearly every day... before cutting her out, I had no idea that people could just wake up happy, like, all the time.
So I went to the session because I'd said I would in that letter from a year earlier. And it was the craziest thing. In 90 minutes we plowed through the full cycle of abuse. Started with the nicey-nice behavior, then as soon as she was uncomfortable everything was "that never happened," then by the end she was telling me that everything I said was a lie, I was evil and she's ashamed of how I turned out to be.
Decision made - obviously this estrangement became permanent that day.
(For anyone wondering about my nibling, child came to my home every weekend for years so that my sibling could have a break and child could see what a stable home looked like. I registered them in weekend activities alongside my own kiddos, and treated them all equally. NC with my mother didn't mean NC with sibling or child. I take care of my people.)
So since then, my mother (who can only contact me through email but my husband has never blocked her) keeps trying to find something emotionally compelling enough to lure me back in. One year at Christmas its "here's one cup and saucer from a set that belonged to your grandma. Call me for the story about these dishes." Then for a birthday, she'll send over my deceased dad's high school yearbooks with a note that says "I have lots more of your dads things. Just come over and we can go through things together." Just always some bullshit trying to pull at my heartstrings.
Most recently, she called my husband asking him to pass on the message that "we need to talk about my will."
The truth is I don't give a rats ass what she does with her meager belongings. As I kid she used to refuse to buy me shampoo because apparently I used too much of it - so I went to school having just rinsed off in the shower because I had nothing to wash with. I started working the summer I was 15, and never relied on her money again. Why would I want her leftovers now? So there is no discussion to be had about her will. She can do whatever and I couldn't care less.
So anyway, here's my question: obviously she is still holding out hope that our relationship can be healed, but there's no fuxking way that's happening. The way I see it I have two options.

Female, 19, 5,5, weight is sensitive, I was taking the bus to a nearby playground to get fresh air and relax but I fell off the bus getting off landing on an electrical pole and chunks of concrete. I wasn't able to get back to my dorm untily and a half hours later, I was bleeding the whole time it nearly covered my leg and my hand from rolling my shorts up. The thing that worries me most tho is my big tie and the area around it. While I'm able to move it. It hurts very much, it's swollen, I'm in severe pain, it's tingly, it plain old hurts. I walk with a limp and half to stop every few seconds because the pain is shooting through my tendons, I nearly kneel down crying with every step I take even yelling out in pain when it gets really bad. I'm not from where I am, I'm here for college, my home is 4 hours away in another state and idk if my health insurance goes to this state too. I wanna know if it's worth going to the hospital at least of its broken I know hospital won't do anything and there's no point in going. I can't even lay down without whimpering and shaking what takes me 5 minutes to walk to my cafeteria took me 20 from pain

I'm a Senior in High School and this is the first year I have friends to call my own because
My friends want to go to this really nice breakfast place in the fancy part of downtown tomorrow. It sounds fun, but I have to drive there, and I'm a new driver. I'm worried about how I'm going to drive and find parking on the busy downtown roads.
On top of that, I really just don't want to go. I really like these friends, but I'm just not close with them like that, and I don't want to seem like I'm bailing on plans again. I've done it before, where they plan something and invite me. I say yes when I'm in a good mood, and then later on (not right before), I back out because it's just too stressful.
I don't want to seem like I'm always backing out on them, but I just really don't want to go. I'm on spring break right now, and I have no plans. I don't want to waste this break away, but this also just doesn't seem fun. What should I do?

- I drifted apart or cut out old friends, I haven't spoken to them in awhile. Either we had a fallout or just didn't put in the effort to keep it alive.
- I was online for nearly 2 years because of COVID-19, so I couldn't foster any High School friendships
- I am very anti-social and I usually do my own thing. (Mind you I'm not socially delayed or awkward, just very introverted)
- I don't have any forms of social media, (Other than reddit on my computer) so I'm a little in my own bubble and don't keep in contact with friends other than phone numbers. Which we only text each other occasionally.

2023.03.29 06:15 Adventurous-Event265 I'm so confused about if Automata's world is standalone or how it connects to Replicant, are there any spoiler-free interviews where the creators talk about why they decided to name Automata a Nier game?
I'm 17% through the game, I've more or less just met Pascal at his village after the amusement park boss, and I know nothing about Automata's world and nearly nothing about Replicant other than it's a final fantasy style game and a spin-off of Drakengard. So if possible no spoilers.
To sum up, I thought Automata was a standalone game set in it's own universe and I was so excited to play it for years, then I found out it's a sequel to a fantasy-style game and set in the same world. What I'm really struggling with is that Automata felt so much more mysterious when I didn't know it shared a universe with Replicant.
Normally I'd just play the series in order, but I'm so confused and conflicted about the Nier series because Automata's atmosphere feels so gritty and dystopian, I absolutely love it. But then when I think "This is in the same universe as Replicant" it loses that gritty dystopian feeling, It's like I wish I could erase what little I know about Replicant so I could get that gritty dystopian feeling from Automata back, which is weird for a sequel's atmosphere to be changed that much depending on knowledge of the prequel. I loved the first hour of gameplay from Replicant and fully intend on playing the rest of it, but it feels weird to think this is the same universe as the gritty dystopian Automata.
Are there any spoiler-free interviews from the creators about why they decided to put these 2 vastly different worlds in the same universe?
The only one I've seen regarding it is where the interviewer asked why they made Automata a follow up to Nier, and Taro said "We'd rather forget about the sequel part, as far as we're concerned, it's a new game"
Here's where I get really confused, people say that pretty much everything from Replicant can be regarded as references or easter eggs except for 1 event, but some say that they're so loosely connected including the "event" that Automata is essentially it's own world with it's own lore. But some say that the event in Replicant was so major that it literally spoils a twist in Automata while some say it doesn't.
I'm so confused about whether I should view Automata's world as the dystopian sci-fi world they present, or the result of a fantasy one that happened several thousands years ago.
If the entire world of Automata is the way it is because of the actions of Replicant, doesn't that make them very very very closely connected? Even if the machines are standalone, the world the story takes place in seems pretty important.
For example: In the resistance camp, there's a woman with the moon mask Taro wears to interviews, and she talks about game settings and such, breaking the fourth wall. To me, that just seems like an easter egg, the one wearing the developer mask talking about game settings seems like a unique and cool easter egg, I think they even mention that she's very eccentric, which Taro is known to be. in short, it's a reference you only get if you know a bit about the developer, but it's not exactly canon or important to the story. I just wonder if that's how the references to Replicant are in Automata, or if the entire world of Automata is the way it is because of the events of Replicant.
I guess I'm also really bothered by the fact that Automata was the sequel instead of the original, If Automata was the first game they made and they made Replicant as the prequel I don't think I'd be bothered, but since Nier was made in 2010 I can't help but feel like they had to constrain the dystopian sci-fi setting they were going for because they made it a sequel to a Final Fantasy/Berserk-style world. Instead of feeling like they crafted the world to tell the story of 2B, it feels like they crafted the world to tell the story of the original Nier band, which makes the story of Automata feel like a DLC of Nier's world instead of it's own story, which is a dumb and weird way of thinking about it and I know it's stupid, but I just can't stop feeling like they didn't have full freedom to tell the stories of 2B, 9S, and the dystopian world and the history of it.
If I explained that poorly, the prologue states that the machines invaded int he year 5012 or somewhere around that time, then Automata takes place thousands of years after that, I don't know what happened between the year 2017 and 5012, And I'm guessing neither does 2B, that feels mysterious and I can relate to 2B's exploration and lack of knowledge of the world, but because it's a sequel to a game that takes place in year 3300 (or something similar) It now just feels like the reason they put Automata in the year 5012 isn't because they wanted to create an aura of mystery around the world, but rather just an excuse to say "It's been so long, so it's basically a different world from Replicant"
I'd rather know nothing about the world and find it out alongside the character I play as, which makes it so that Replicant feels like a spoiler since it showcases so many things about the world that Automata takes place in.
If for example, Automata was the original game, and then they made a prequel about, say, for example, a group of humans fighting the invaders when they first came, It'd feel like the same universe, and I wouldn't feel like it's out of place, even if the world is completely different at the time, it'd feel like a cool add-on to Automata that could be played as a standalone. But the fact that the original 2010 Nier has nothing to do with the machines just makes it feel like 2 different worlds and makes it feel like Automata was written to make sense in a fantasy-style world despite the atmosphere being a gritty dystopian sci-fi. Which I know is a dumb and stupid way of thinking about it, and I'm trying to change the way I view that, but in a game where I was so interested in finding out the history of the world because of the machines, It's like I can't think about the history of the world and how it ended up that way because it has nothing to do with the machines and all to do with the original.
I saw a news article stating that the new Automata anime had already mentioned a moment from Replicant, and someone else asked "Why did they make Automata anime before Replicant" The answer to that is because Automata is more popular and would bring in more money, but doesn't the fact that he asked it mean that he thinks the stories as so connected that you should view the original first.
It just feels more like a spiritual sequel rather than a narrative sequel or that they even take place in the same world. To sum up, I thought Automata was a standalone game set in it's own universe and I was so excited to play it for years, then I found out it's a sequel to a fantasy-style game and set in the same world. What I'm really struggling with is that Automata felt so much more mysterious when I didn't know it shared a universe with Replicant.
Normally I'd just play the series in order, but I'm so confused and conflicted about the Nier series because Automata's atmosphere feels so gritty and dystopian, I absolutely love it. But then when I think "This is in the same universe as Replicant" it loses that gritty dystopian feeling, It's like I wish I could erase what little I know about Replicant so I could get that gritty dystopian feeling from Automata back, which is weird for a sequel's atmosphere to be changed that much depending on knowledge of the prequel. I loved the first hour of gameplay from Replicant and fully intend on playing the rest of it, but it feels weird to think this is the same universe as the gritty dystopian Automata.
Are there any spoiler-free interviews from the creators about why they decided to put these 2 vastly different worlds in the same universe?
The only one I've seen regarding it is where the interviewer asked why they made Automata a follow up to Nier, and Taro said "We'd rather forget about the sequel part, as far as we're concerned, it's a new game"
Here's where I get really confused, people say that pretty much everything from Replicant can be regarded as references or easter eggs except for 1 event, but some say that they're so loosely connected including the "event" that Automata is essentially it's own world with it's own lore. But some say that the event in Replicant was so major that it literally spoils a twist in Automata while some say it doesn't.
I'm so confused about whether I should view Automata's world as the dystopian sci-fi world they present, or the result of a fantasy one that happened several thousands years ago.
If the entire world of Automata is the way it is because of the actions of Replicant, doesn't that make them very very very closely connected? Even if the machines are standalone, the world the story takes place in seems pretty important.
For example: In the resistance camp, there's a woman with the moon mask Taro wears to interviews, and she talks about game settings and such, breaking the fourth wall. To me, that just seems like an easter egg, the one wearing the developer mask talking about game settings seems like a unique and cool easter egg, I think they even mention that she's very eccentric, which Taro is known to be. in short, it's a reference you only get if you know a bit about the developer, but it's not exactly canon or important to the story. I just wonder if that's how the references to Replicant are in Automata, or if the entire world of Automata is the way it is because of the events of Replicant.
I guess I'm also really bothered by the fact that Automata was the sequel instead of the original, If Automata was the first game they made and they made Replicant as the prequel I don't think I'd be bothered, but since Nier was made in 2010 I can't help but feel like they had to constrain the dystopian sci-fi setting they were going for because they made it a sequel to a Final Fantasy/Berserk-style world. Instead of feeling like they crafted the world to tell the story of 2B, it feels like they crafted the world to tell the story of the original Nier band, which makes the story of Automata feel like a DLC of Nier's world instead of it's own story, which is a dumb and weird way of thinking about it and I know it's stupid, but I just can't stop feeling like they didn't have full freedom to tell the stories of 2B, 9S, and the dystopian world and the history of it.
If I explained that poorly, the prologue states that the machines invaded int he year 5012 or somewhere around that time, then Automata takes place thousands of years after that, I don't know what happened between the year 2017 and 5012, And I'm guessing neither does 2B, that feels mysterious and I can relate to 2B's exploration and lack of knowledge of the world, but because it's a sequel to a game that takes place in year 3300 (or something similar) It now just feels like the reason they put Automata in the year 5012 isn't because they wanted to create an aura of mystery around the world, but rather just an excuse to say "It's been so long, so it's basically a different world from Replicant"
I'd rather know nothing about the world and find it out alongside the character I play as, which makes it so that Replicant feels like a spoiler since it showcases so many things about the world that Automata takes place in.
If for example, Automata was the original game, and then they made a prequel about, say, for example, a group of humans fighting the invaders when they first came, It'd feel like the same universe, and I wouldn't feel like it's out of place, even if the world is completely different at the time, it'd feel like a cool add-on to Automata that could be played as a standalone. But the fact that the original 2010 Nier has nothing to do with the machines just makes it feel like 2 different worlds and makes it feel like Automata was written to make sense in a fantasy-style world despite the atmosphere being a gritty dystopian sci-fi. Which I know is a dumb and stupid way of thinking about it, and I'm trying to change the way I view that, but in a game where I was so interested in finding out the history of the world because of the machines, It's like I can't think about the history of the world and how it ended up that way because it has nothing to do with the machines and all to do with the original.

Background Knowledge/Bounty
First, let's take a full look at his Vivre Card.- 50-year-old Gecko Moria had a frozen bounty of $320 Million Berries before joining the Warlords, meaning he had a bounty higher than Post-Enies Lobby Luffy when he was younger.
- Although it's unclear exactly when Moria first obtained this bounty, we know that he had it after the death of Roger and before he fought Kaido in Wano Country (Vivre Card Timeline at bottom for reference). This would mean by the time he was 27 years old, Moria had gotten his bounty of $320 Million, as the fight with Kaido takes a year after Roger's death, 23 years before the current year.
- Although Moria's Vivre Card doesn't list him as being a haki user, it doesn't immediately disqualify him from having it currently.
Devil Fruit General Knowledge
Moria has the Shadow Shadow Fruit, allowing him to produce and manipulate shadows. However, shadows in One Piece are a bit more unique.- Shadows in One Piece are considered as another soul each person has. With this, we can assume that each One Piece character has at least two types of souls, as even Luffy, who did not have his shadow, was still considered to have a soul. This suggests that adding more shadows into one's body would then add more souls to a person.
- Anyone without a shadow does not have a reflection, as they do not "exist in the world of light." Anyone without a shadow who is hit by sunlight will experience pain and disintegrate into dust and their very existence is at risk of disappearing.
- (One might even say OP characters have an immunity to existence erasure as long as they have their shadow.)
- The effect is not immediate, however, and this indicates a link between an original body and its shadow, regardless of how far apart they are. This is further reinforced by the fact that killing the shadow's original owner will kill the shadow as well.
- Moria is able to capture and force shadows to submit to him, allowing him to create "zombies." All "zombies" will have the personality and battle abilities of the original shadow's owner, though the physical strength is dependent on the body itself.
- Those who have their shadows taken away by Moria typically lose consciousness for 2 days straight.
- All shadows are eventually obedient to Moria, no matter how strong their wills are. However, the size of a shadow and body can affect how long the lingering effect takes place. Moria can also erase the memories and past of a shadow by creating a pact.
- Beating or killing Moria does not reverse the effects of his Devil Fruit. Moria must command the shadows to go back to their bodies. The sole exception was when Moria was losing consciousness in his Shadows Asgard form, which lead to him losing control over the shadows in his body.
- Shadows are tangible and can be inserted into both living and non-living creatures, as long they can maintain consciousness. This multiplies one's strength for as long as one can withstand, up to 10 minutes. An average person can only withstand 2-3 shadows.
- The shadow and body must look the same, as that is both common sense and the law of nature. Moria can manipulate others' shadows with his own shadow, forcing their bodies to follow the shape of their shadows. Essentially, he is reversing the law of nature and can disfigure a person's body as long as he disfigures their shadow.
- Shadows can be forced to disconnect from one's body with salt due to the fact that shadows are connected to others' bodies via Devil Fruit powers, which can be affected by water.
- Moria's range for shadow manipulation spans all of Thriller Bark, which is the size of an island.
Devil Fruit Techniques
- Shadow Cutting - With his weapon, Moria can cut off shadows from people's bodies, knocking them out instantly.
- Doppelman - Moria is able to create a shadow double of himself capable of blocking Luffy's attacks, destroying the ground, and pressuring Luffy. Doppelman is capable of keeping up with Luffy's speed and because it's a shadow, it takes no damage from regular attacks.
- Brick Bat - Moria can create multiple balls of shadows that can turn into bats, capable of hurting Luffy. They can be formed from any shadow, including Doppelman, and they take no damage since they're just tangible shadows.
- Teleportation - Moria is able to swap places with his shadow Doppelman at any point, even appearing in Oars' stomach right after talking with Kuma.
- Shadow Revolution - Moria is able to control other people's shadows and deform their body by manipulating the shadow, as shadows and bodies must maintain the same shape.
- Oars Ball - With Shadow Revolution, Moria can make deformities such as turning Oars into a giant ball.
- Shadows Asgard - This technique spans over the entire island of Thriller Bark, allowing him to gather 1000 shadows and imbue himself with them, including the shadows of Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji.

To start, I thoroughly enjoyed this game and do think it is fine as is. My biggest issue was that both Challenges and Collections indicated to me that a large swathe of the game seems to require completionism to even want to engage. After finishing the game, I felt that there was still a large amount of content I had yet to engage with and did not want to simply leave abandoned, so I hacked at my challenges and collections like a chore until I was more comfortable with the mound of content I was abandoning. This was not fun, and I think it was because the content had no pay off outside of completionism. I seek to propose a fix to this with minimal mechanical changes to the game as a whole.
My proposal: place more of the optional content on the critical path by removing the level system and moving its functionalities to other parts of the game.
The level system is largely unnecessary since it can be bijectively mapped to another number that can already serve the RPG function of "number that grows as you go", that being the challenges completion percentage. Since the ONLY way to gain "xp" is by completing tasks that contribute to challenges and you need 100% challenges to MAX your level, they are both measuring the exact same thing at the exact same rate. The tautology is unnecessary.
But what of the other functions of levelling up? There are only a handful of things your "level" meaningfully contributes to in this game: Health Points, Talents, (side)quest gating and loot. Your effectiveness as a wizard/witch in combat is largely detached from your "level" and more affected by your armour specs and spells available to you.
To address the easiest first, the loot system, as flawed as it is, is only made more frustrating by the very unnecessary armour level requirements. The level requirement is very loosely linked to the specs of the piece, with armour sometimes having lower specs but higher reqs, making it utterly useless. You will also find that the armour found is not entirely random, with the specs (on average) growing as you progress, meaning the game takes into account your "level" (read: challenge completion percentage) when generating the loot. Since the game already has the mechanism of growing the specs of your loot as you progress, the level gating can just be removed with no other changes necessary. It isn't OP to suddenly be able to wear armour 2 levels above you since you virtually never find armour more than 5 levels above you, and it probably has a lower armour rating anyway.
With regards to Health Points, which folks may not have even noticed increased whenever you levelled up, I propose moving that to the Merlin Trials. Many have pointed out that Merlin Trials serve no function after achieving max inventory, further exacerbating their repetitive nature. what if they served 2 possible functions? Similar to how in Zelda's Breath of the Wild where you can choose between health or stamina, I could see a simple game mechanic where completing Merlin Trials gives you points that you can put towards increasing your inventory or health bar, giving the player meaningful choices on what to focus on and how to progress their game. Thematically, the merlin hologram summoned may periodically (after every 5 trials maybe) ask you if you want more inventory or health.
With Talents, I feel that the talent system is already quite flawed with the inability to re-spec your talent points, and the arbitrary limitation of forcing the player to choose talents to never unlock. Rather than think about what talent a player might want the most next, the player can get pre-occupied with considering which talents they plan on never activating. My proposal is to move the ability to unlock talents to a criminally underused aspect of the game: assignments. Like many others, I feel that we do not spend nearly enough time at Hogwarts and more assignments would give us extrinsic reasons to return to our favourite professors. It makes sense for the teachers who taught us the spells to teach us how to improve the effectiveness of the spells. The talents would become rewards for further assignments. There is an entire section of the quest UI dedicated to assignments that feels underused. The spells that are taught by Sebastian can have their associated talents be rewards for completing more Crossed Wands rounds, or Sebastian "assignments" completed in the undercroft, thematically related to his study of dark magic. I would keep the Talents interface as a way to turn on/off the talents you have unlocked through assignments, in the event you situationally don't want their effects.
As for Quest Gating, as already stated, your "level" is largely detached from your combat effectiveness so its use as an indicator for difficulty is largely moot. I feel that its greater purpose in this function was to slow down your game, encouraging you to go out and "level up" (read: complete challenges) before continuing with your quests. I feel that this functionality could be transferred to a new bandit camp system I am proposing now which involves the already established game systems of owls, infamous foes and of course, bandit camps.
The idea is that instead of soft-gating your companion side-quest lines behind "levels" which imply combat difficulty, between side quests you would be tasked by your companion (Natty/Poppy/Sebby) to "investigate" their enemy faction. How this works is that after a companion quest, Natty, for example, would task you with "investigating" a number of Ashwinder camps, and will send you an owl after you have defeated enough, prompting the next quest or telling you that you've done enough until your next quest. This prompts you to engage with the bandit camp system throughout the critical path of the game. Additionally, a sufficient number of camps defeated could prompt an infamous foe to throw down the gauntlet and send you an owl, challenging you to a fight. These foes can also serve as the gating element that prompts the next part of the side-quest line. This would help thematically placing the defeat of these foes onto the critical path, rather than hunting them down after their factions have been defeated in the main questline. Natty would have you clear Ashwinder Camps, Poppy would naturally have you clear Poacher camps, and Sebby's prejudice has you clearing Loyalist camps. In a world where Amit was a companion, he might have asked for Spider Camps to be cleared.
In conclusion and TLDR, the level system is unnecessary and its functions could be easily shifted toward aspects of the game begging for more extrinsic motivations to engage with.

Like many others, I feel that we do not spend nearly enough time at Hogwarts and more assignments would give us extrinsic reasons to return to our favourite professors. It makes sense for the teachers who taught us the spells to teach us how to improve the effectiveness of the spells. The talents would become rewards for further assignments. There is an entire section of the quest UI dedicated to assignments that feels underused. The spells that are taught by Sebastian can have their associated talents be rewards for completing more Crossed Wands rounds, or Sebastian "assignments" completed in the undercroft, thematically related to his study of dark magic. I would keep the Talents interface as a way to turn on/off the talents you have unlocked through assignments, in the event you situationally don't want their effects.
As for Quest Gating, as already stated, your "level" is largely detached from your combat effectiveness so its use as an indicator for difficulty is largely moot. I feel that its greater purpose in this function was to slow down your game, encouraging you to go out and "level up" (read: complete challenges) before continuing with your quests. I feel that this functionality could be transferred to a new bandit camp system I am proposing now which involves the already established game systems of owls, infamous foes and of course, bandit camps.
The idea is that instead of soft-gating your companion side-quest lines behind "levels" which imply combat difficulty, between side quests you would be tasked by your companion (Natty/Poppy/Sebby) to "investigate" their enemy faction. How this works is that after a companion quest, Natty, for example, would task you with "investigating" a number of Ashwinder camps, and will send you an owl after you have defeated enough, prompting the next quest or telling you that you've done enough until your next quest. This prompts you to engage with the bandit camp system throughout the critical path of the game. Additionally, a sufficient number of camps defeated could prompt an infamous foe to throw down the gauntlet and send you an owl, challenging you to a fight. These foes can also serve as the gating element that prompts the next part of the side-quest line. This would help thematically placing the defeat of these foes onto the critical path, rather than hunting them down after their factions have been defeated in the main questline. Natty would have you clear Ashwinder Camps, Poppy would naturally have you clear Poacher camps, and Sebby's prejudice has you clearing Loyalist camps. In a world where Amit was a companion, he might have asked for Spider Camps to be cleared.
In conclusion and TLDR, the level system is unnecessary and its functions could be easily shifted toward aspects of the game begging for more extrinsic motivations to engage with.

It must have been terribly slow and stupid of me but it just dawned on me two days ago that my (28f) closest friend (27f) was trying to sabotage my life.
PART 1
I am a small entrepreneur in this one field and one day my close girl friend (same friend in question let’s call her Laura) called me and said one of her ex clients is now in my field of work and looking for a new supplier, strongly suggested I should meet up with him to the point of being pushy. Anyhow I agreed to the meeting, and shortly after our conversation I got an email from this ex client (35m) and the conversation was brief and we agreed to meet and talk in person.
Over at the restaurant I realized it was a date. He said he had told Laura he’s looking for a date and a girlfriend, hence the meet up. I was very confused as to why I was told one thing and hearing another, so I left shortly after discovering his intention. After this brief meet up this gentleman became strangely obsessive via constant phone calls, text messages and emails all about his love confession (we’ve only met for 20 minutes!). Later I found him stalking me outside of my office and home (nobody else could have given him my home address but Laura, but I just wasn’t thinking and didn’t think it could be her). I tried telling him off nicely to avoid hurting his feelings by saying I am not interested in a relationship or dating in general at this point of my life and that he misunderstood the reason why I agreed to meet. Then, when the stalking and obsessive behaviours didn’t stop, I told him straight up he is disturbing my life and he must stop.
Upon receiving my strongly-worded message, he became furious and cursed me in the most unimaginable ways and thankfully after I blocked him, he never showed up near either my office or home again.
I spoke to Laura about my whole ordeal with this gentleman after, she said ever so calmly indicating yes he has some issues with bipolar disorder among a few other medicated illnesses. I found the entire episode strange but since my life was very hectic at that point (about 8-9 months ago) I didn’t think much of it. Until two days ago I realized Laura was purposely trying to set me up to date this person knowing full well he is not in the right state of mind. I called Laura the past Sunday asking how she came to know him, she said she used to work with him, but he got fired for not being mentally competent and sexually harassing a coworker. I gasped.

5 months ago I met a wonderful Turkish gentleman (I’m Canadian with Swedish and Kazakh parents, he is a US green card holder and now working in Canada, where we met) and we fell madly in love. We are now engaged and the wedding will be next year. He is a romantic and not shy to display his affection even in front of my friends (including Laura).
Just after we got engaged (I called to tell all my girl friends and family), Laura asked me to seriously reconsider my relationship with him. Said no man in their sane mind would want to commit just after 5 months of dating, and suggested he might be mentally ill and that’s why he chose me (almost her exact wording). And then I started to realize she doesn’t want me to be in a happy relationship. What’s more, she lied to me about how she made the previous gentleman’s acquaintance and then really really wanted me to be in an abusive relationship with him (she knows full well the problems the gentleman in part 1 has). Then, when I was in a happy relationship she tried gaslighting tactics on me a few times to have me to see my fiance in a different light so we’d break up.
I don’t know when she started to change and not want the best for me anymore, but to sabotage my life not once but twice is a whole different level of hurt she has caused me.
Apologies for the long rant, I typed in a haste to get it out of me and I haven’t figured out how I am going to face her in the future.

Once the lander had fully settled, Tzersan and Torlok got to work with the external atmospheric sensors. They needed to determine if it was safe to be exposed to Earth's atmosphere. Analysis quickly determined that the air was breathable, but thin compared to Sanaias due to the lower gravity. Ambient radiation levels were disturbingly high, but still within Neransai tolerance levels. After relaying this information to the rest of the team, it was determined that they were to keep their environmental suits on when outside unless absolutely necessary.
After gathering all of the equipment to set up a base, the team lined up at the lander's exit hatch with Captain Zarkor at the lead. Just beyond that door was a brand new world unlike anything they've ever experienced. Every moment felt like an eternity to Tzersan as his anticipation rose within him until Captain Zarkor uttered five words. "Computer. Open the exit hatch."
With a loud hiss, the exit slowly slid open, and the team was immediately struck with a vast myriad of sights and sounds. There was green as far as the eye could see, with what seemed to be a a forest of massive pillar-like plants only a couple dozen spans away. On the horizon were towering mountains that pierced the sky. All around him Tzersan could hear the chirps and trills of countless tiny creatures hidden in the foliage. Looking up, he saw flocks of strange animals soaring above in the blue sky. It was undeniable that this planet was alive.
"Alright everyone, we need to set up our base for the night!" said Zarkor. "Kakaris and I will start setting up the enclosures, Torlok will get the life support systems online, and Tzersan and Lif will take care of the perimeter lights. Daylight is dwindling, so we need to make this quick." Following the Captain's orders, Tzersan grabbed a stack of light poles and started planting them into the ground.
As he worked, Tzersan couldn't help being amazed and awestruck by the world around him. Even as the sun fell over the horizon, Earth's single pale moon shone dimly in it's place. It almost made him forget his fears about the lack of civilization. Almost. That dark thought about the possibility of the Children of Planet Earth being extinct lingered in the back of his mind. As he neared completion of his task, that dark thought began to grow stronger, his anxiousness rising as it started taking hold of him.
"Hey Tzersan, come here! You've got to see this!" Said Lif, snapping Tzersan back to reality. He slid up to her, and saw that she was holding something in her tendrils with giddy look visible on face behind her transparent helmet.
"What did you find?" He asked, curious about what got her in such a good mood.
"This!" she said, opening her tendrils to reveal a large insect. It had a black body and a sturdy shell, but its most striking feature was it's head. Though it lacked tendrils, the insect's head looked uncannily similar to that of a Neransai, with its large mandibles and a flat head. Infact it looked strikingly similar to Tzersan.
"That is so freaky! It looks just like me!" Tzersan said in amazement.
"I know! Isn't it incredible!" said Lif as she lifted the insect to eye level. "I'm going to call you Mini Tzersan." moments later, the insect's shell split apart to reveal a set of tiny wings before flying off with a gentle buzz.
"Goodbye mini me." Tzersan said as he watched the insect disappear into the forest nearby.
"Alright, we should finish putting these lights up. it's getting pretty dark," said Lif, with Tzersan nodding in agreement. As the two turned back to their work, they failed to notice something that had been lurking in the nearby shrubbery dart deeper into the forest.
Some time later, the team had finished the base. It was composed of five inflatable airtight enclosures that served as living quarters. Each one was equipped with a life support system that kept the interior atmosphere and radiation at a comfortable level similar to Sanaias. The Lander itself was converted into a laboratory for any further studies. The lights set up by Lif and Tzersan kept the area illuminated up to the edge of the nearby forest. After sending a few messages up to the Voyager about the strange insect he and Lif discovered, Tzersan went to his quarters so he could sleep. As he curled up under his interior heater, he began to doze off.
"Hey Tzersan! Come here!"
Tzersan awoke to the sound of his name being called. By the sound of it, it was Lif. What could she want so late? He exited his quarters without an environmental suit, as he was not planning on being out for long. He approached Lif's quarters, but before he could knock on the door...
"Hey Tzersan! Come here!"
He heard Lif call him again, but not from inside her quarters. She seemed to be calling him from the woods near where they found Mini Tzersan. Why would she be there so late? "Lif? What are you doing out here? Why did you need me?" Tzersan asked as he approached the edge of the light.
"Hey Tzersan! Come here! Mini Tzersan.This!"
"Lif? Are you okay? You're not making sense!" Tzersan inched even closer to the edge of the light, the forest nearly a tendril length away. Before he could get closer, Tzersan felt something grab his tail from behind and yank him backwards. Before he could scream in alarm, a tendril wrapped around his inner mandibles, silencing him. He quickly twisted himself free only to see that his captor was Lif.
"Lif! What the fuck! Why are you-" Tzersan began, only for Lif to cover his mandibles again.
"Tzersan, listen to me. Did you hear it too?" she said with a look of pure terror on her face.
"Hear it too? Lif, what are you-"
"Hey Tzersan! Come here! You've got to see this!" Lif's voice called out from the darkness in the forest. It was then that Tzersan realized what was happening. Something out there knows Lif's voice, and is trying to lure him closer.
"Tzersan... We need to go back to the base. Now."
"A-agreed... l-let's get out of here."
As the two turned back to the base, the voice had one last thing to say. "Hey Tzersan! Come HeeeeeeeaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!"

The Hunter had arrived at the village, but to his misfortune the wooden gates had already closed, locking him outside. "Hello! Anybody up there?" He called out towards the upper wall. A couple seconds later, a man with an ill fitted helmet and a twirling blonde mustache peered out over the wall.
"Who goes there? State your name and business!" the mustachioed man demanded.
"Johan, it's me, Alden! I'm back from a hunt!" He replied.
Johan narrowed his eyes as he scrutinized Alden. "How do I know you're not a falsifier?"
"Well I'm rather lacking in the department of fangs and claws am I not?" He replied.
"Hmmm, well there is only one way to know for sure!" Johan said. "Say something only Alden would know!"
"Johan, as much as I'd love to humor you, there are actual falsifiers not far from here, and I'd rather not deal with them," said Alden. As if on cue, a shriek echoed throughout the forest, the sound of a very angry falsifier.
"Point taken. Hold on a minute." Johan said as he opened the gate to let in Alden.
As Alden walked into the village, Johan jumped down from his post and followed him a bit. "So Alden, did you see the fireball when you where hunting? It got the village stirred up a quite a bit. Sven thinks it's a sign from the gods and has been screaming about it all evening, but I just think it's a normal comet."
"Well Sven may be on to something for once," said Alden, as he kept walking. "I was able to see the fireball clearly, and it was definitely not a comet. It had strange white half spheres following behind it, and it slowed down as it fell. Comets don't do that Johan, and I'm going to find out what it is."
"Well good luck with that! I hope you come back in one piece, and not like Rhougal did in those Ancient's ruins." Johan said before returning to his post.
Alden continued through the village before reaching his abode. setting aside his things he went to lay down in his bed to get some rest for the morning. He looked briefly at the window and saw a Stag Beetle resting on the windowsill, a sign of good luck amongst his people. With a hopeful smile, Alden layed down to rest for the day ahead.

"Hey Tzersan, come here! You've got to see this!" Said Lif, snapping Tzersan back to reality. He slid up to her, and saw that she was holding something in her tendrils with giddy look visible on face behind her transparent helmet.
"What did you find?" He asked, curious about what got her in such a good mood.
"This!" she said, opening her tendrils to reveal a large insect. It had a black body and a sturdy shell, but its most striking feature was it's head. Though it lacked tendrils, the insect's head looked uncannily similar to that of a Neransai, with its large mandibles and a flat head. Infact it looked strikingly similar to Tzersan.
"That is so freaky! It looks just like me!" Tzersan said in amazement.
"I know! Isn't it incredible!" said Lif as she lifted the insect to eye level. "I'm going to call you Mini Tzersan." moments later, the insect's shell split apart to reveal a set of tiny wings before flying off with a gentle buzz.
"Goodbye mini me." Tzersan said as he watched the insect disappear into the forest nearby.
"Alright, we should finish putting these lights up. it's getting pretty dark," said Lif, with Tzersan nodding in agreement. As the two turned back to their work, they failed to notice something that had been lurking in the nearby shrubbery dart deeper into the forest.
Some time later, the team had finished the base. It was composed of five inflatable airtight enclosures that served as living quarters. Each one was equipped with a life support system that kept the interior atmosphere and radiation at a comfortable level similar to Sanaias. The Lander itself was converted into a laboratory for any further studies. The lights set up by Lif and Tzersan kept the area illuminated up to the edge of the nearby forest. After sending a few messages up to the Voyager about the strange insect he and Lif discovered, Tzersan went to his quarters so he could sleep. As he curled up under his interior heater, he began to doze off.
"Hey Tzersan! Come here!"

"Lif? Are you okay? You're not making sense!" Tzersan inched even closer to the edge of the light, the forest nearly a tendril length away. Before he could get closer, Tzersan felt something grab his tail from behind and yank him backwards. Before he could scream in alarm, a tendril wrapped around his inner mandibles, silencing him. He quickly twisted himself free only to see that his captor was Lif.
"Lif! What the fuck! Why are you-" Tzersan began, only for Lif to cover his mandibles again.
"Tzersan, listen to me. Did you hear it too?" she said with a look of pure terror on her face.
"Hear it too? Lif, what are you-"
"Hey Tzersan! Come here! You've got to see this!" Lif's voice called out from the darkness in the forest. It was then that Tzersan realized what was happening. Something out there knows Lif's voice, and is trying to lure him closer.
"Tzersan... We need to go back to the base. Now."
"A-agreed... l-let's get out of here."
As the two turned back to the base, the voice had one last thing to say. "Hey Tzersan! Come HeeeeeeeaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!"

The Hunter had arrived at the village, but to his misfortune the wooden gates had already closed, locking him outside. "Hello! Anybody up there?" He called out towards the upper wall. A couple seconds later, a man with an ill fitted helmet and a twirling blonde mustache peered out over the wall.
"Who goes there? State your name and business!" the mustachioed man demanded.
"Johan, it's me, Alden! I'm back from a hunt!" He replied.
Johan narrowed his eyes as he scrutinized Alden. "How do I know you're not a falsifier?"
"Well I'm rather lacking in the department of fangs and claws am I not?" He replied.
"Hmmm, well there is only one way to know for sure!" Johan said. "Say something only Alden would know!"
"Johan, as much as I'd love to humor you, there are actual falsifiers not far from here, and I'd rather not deal with them," said Alden. As if on cue, a shriek echoed throughout the forest, the sound of a very angry falsifier.
"Point taken. Hold on a minute." Johan said as he opened the gate to let in Alden.
As Alden walked into the village, Johan jumped down from his post and followed him a bit. "So Alden, did you see the fireball when you where hunting? It got the village stirred up a quite a bit. Sven thinks it's a sign from the gods and has been screaming about it all evening, but I just think it's a normal comet."
"Well Sven may be on to something for once," said Alden, as he kept walking. "I was able to see the fireball clearly, and it was definitely not a comet. It had strange white half spheres following behind it, and it slowed down as it fell. Comets don't do that Johan, and I'm going to find out what it is."
"Well good luck with that! I hope you come back in one piece, and not like Rhougal did in those Ancient's ruins." Johan said before returning to his post.
Alden continued through the village before reaching his abode. setting aside his things he went to lay down in his bed to get some rest for the morning. He looked briefly at the window and saw a Stag Beetle resting on the windowsill, a sign of good luck amongst his people. With a hopeful smile, Alden layed down to rest for the day ahead.

After gathering all of the equipment to set up a base, the team lined up at the lander's exit hatch with Captain Zarkor at the lead. Just beyond that door was a brand new world unlike anything they've ever experienced. Every moment felt like an eternity to Tzersan as his anticipation rose within him until Captain Zarkor uttered five words. "Computer. Open the exit hatch."
With a loud hiss, the exit slowly slid open, and the team was immediately struck with a vast myriad of sights and sounds. There was green as far as the eye could see, with what seemed to be a a forest of massive pillar-like plants only a couple dozen spans away. On the horizon were towering mountains that pierced the sky. All around him Tzersan could hear the chirps and trills of countless tiny creatures hidden in the foliage. Looking up, he saw flocks of strange animals soaring above in the blue sky. It was undeniable that this planet was alive.
"Alright everyone, we need to set up our base for the night!" said Zarkor. "Kakaris and I will start setting up the enclosures, Torlok will get the life support systems online, and Tzersan and Lif will take care of the perimeter lights. Daylight is dwindling, so we need to make this quick." Following the Captain's orders, Tzersan grabbed a stack of light poles and started planting them into the ground.
As he worked, Tzersan couldn't help being amazed and awestruck by the world around him. Even as the sun fell over the horizon, Earth's single pale moon shone dimly in it's place. As stated, I am currently a paying tenant in NYC who is considered month-to-month. I have not missed any payments and have always paid on-time. There are also no past complaints or violations against me. I have been a tenant at this address (a private house) for 6 years now, and had a lease that expired after the 1st year. The LandLord did not want to give me an updated lease, so my family and I have been paying month-to-month for the past 5 years. The Landlord resides at this private house on the bottom floor. I rent the top floor, and it is a two-family home.
The Landlord is now verbally asking my family and I to vacate the residence in 30 days. During recent years, the neighborhood has seen rents increase as it is now considered a desirable and "affluent neighborhood". The Landlord has caught wind of this, and has now decided that they can get much higher rent for the apartment and wants us to leave (they have not decided to raise our current rent, they have just verbally asked us to leave in 30 days).
My family and I are not at all ready to vacate in 30 days, but we do not have a current lease. We would likely need upwards of 1 year to find a new home at an affordable price in a safe neighborhood, and move all of our personal belongings/furniture. Due to extenuating circumstances, we also cannot afford a rent increase or to pay for a move at this time. It would be nearly impossible to find a new apartment in the neighborhood at a similar monthly rent. "Cash-for-Keys" is not a option here either as this LandLord is not the type to offer any such deal. In fact, they have their spouse (who is not the LandLord) sending us text messages to "move-out" and stating that they could get much "higher rent". This is not the type of LandLord that can be reasoned with. I am also well aware that this is not my house, and I will need to leave at some point if the LandLord wants me out.
Basically, how long can I realistically delay this process as a paying tenant if this were to go to housing court? I would also greatly appreciate a basic breakdown of my rights in this situation as a Month-to-Month tenant.

Reuters . On Feb. 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia was suspending its participation in the New START treaty with the United States that limits the two sides' deployed strategic nuclear arsenals.
The United States has told Russia it will not exchange data on its nuclear forces, a White House spokesperson said on Tuesday, describing the change as a response to Moscow's decision to suspend participation in the New START nuclear arms treaty.
"Under international law, the United States has the right to respond to Russia's breaches of the New START Treaty by taking proportionate and reversible countermeasures in order to induce Russia to return to compliance with its obligations," a spokesperson for the National Security Council said.
"That means that because Russia's claimed suspension of the New START Treaty is legally invalid, the U.S. is legally permitted to withhold our biannual data update in response to Russia's breaches," the spokesperson added.
On Feb. 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia was suspending its participation in the New START treaty with the United States that limits the two sides' deployed strategic nuclear arsenals.
Putin stressed that Russia was not withdrawing from the treaty but the suspension further imperils the last remaining pillar of arms control between the United States and Russia, which between them hold nearly 90% of the world's nuclear warheads - enough to destroy the planet many times over.

I had a filling a few years ago on an upper molar. For the last week, it's begun to hurt if I bite moderate to harder stuff on that side of my teeth, and even if I clack my teeth together. I had a teeth cleaning and X-ray done this week as well, and they said my teeth were fine and didn't have any cavities (I forgot to tell them). Now I'm at college and it'll be a month before I can go back to my state's dentist office.
Does anyone know what might be happening here? If it's a broken filling I'm not sure why the dentist office didn't see it in the X-Ray. Should I wait or try to find a dentist near my college? Just worried about insurance and all.

Initially I was looking at places within walking distance to Canyon, but I see Canyon closes mid-April, so now I'm looking at near the village or at the Mammoth Mountain Inn by the main lodge. If I end up going with a place near the village, will parking at the main lodge be difficult in the mornings? Thinking the group would prefer to be closer to the village for restaurant options, but don't want to make it difficult to go skiing either since that's my focus.

My apartment is near the intersection of Austin Blvd. and Iowa St. in Oak Park. It is a 2 bed/1 bath that is 1000 sq ft. It is already furnished with my furniture (minus your bedroom), but I would be open to selling mine and/or incorporating yours if you would like that. There is gas heating and a gas stove/oven (the gas heating, water, and waste are included in the rent price/covered by the apartment company). Electric, cooking gas, and internet are the only monthly utility charges outside of rent. There is no central air as this is a more historic building. There is no washedrier in-unit, but there is a very close laundromat. There is a dishwasher, fridge, and microwave already here along with a sizable pantry. This unit is also pet-friendly.
For public transportation there is a bus stop right outside near the front of the apartment building, the Green line is less than 3/4 miles away, and the Blue line is less than 2 miles away. The bus route will take you to both. If you drive, there is on-street parking available and an off-street 24/7 lot available as well. Downtown Chicago is around an 8-mile drive away and is easy/quick to get to in the morning.
About Me: I’m a lower 20’s male, a recent college grad, I work in biological research downtown, I enjoy running, long-distance cycling, reading, video and board games, puzzles, animals, and being outdoors. I have a friendly and skittish cat named Tangerine, and I am welcoming to other cats and small dogs. I am an initially shy but very friendly person. I spend a lot of my time helping people out in the area by doing odd jobs and landscaping or home maintenance/improvement projects as well.
I don’t have a preference for male or female roommates (both of my previous roommates were female). Youngecollege-graduated would be more ideal, but I don’t really care as long as we get along and work together for a good living environment. Tez2, a reputable Rockstar insider has suggested on the GTA Forums that GTA 6 is likely to be released this year with a tentative release date of 2024.
According to my own reports which date back to June 2021, this seems to be the case. My sources have said that Grand Theft Auto 6 has been aiming for a 2024 release date for some time, but speculation and past reveal/release schedules of the likes of GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 suggest the game will be delayed until 2025.
If I were to guess – I believe the game would release in the holiday of 2025 instead of the spring.
As for when the announcement is made is unclear, but typically Rockstar Games likes to announce its big reveals on its own. So to set expectations, I wouldn’t necessarily expect the game to be announced at E3. Instead, I expect some form of reveal trailer in Q4 2023 to coincide with past reveals.
According to my own sources, one of the major reasons for such a long-winded “delay” is that GTA 6 will release on current-generation consoles only. With the tentative 2024 date being planned as far back as 2021, it was a means of ensuring that GTA 6 would have a sufficient console market to release on.
In late 2022, Rockstar Games had a security breach that resulted in over 70 videos on GTA 6 gameplay surfacing online. In its subsequent earnings call, Take-Two Interactive addressed investors to state that the leak was unfortunate, but they believe it had no impact on development.
“There’s no evidence that any material assets were taken, which is a good thing, and certainly the leak won’t have any influence on development or anything of the sort, but it is terribly disappointing and causes us to be ever more vigilant on matters relating to cybersecurity”, it was said.
As for GTA 6, for now, we’ll need to continue sitting tight and see what gets announced in the hopefully near future.

According to my own reports which date back to June 2021, this seems to be the case. My sources have said that Grand Theft Auto 6 has been aiming for a 2024 release date for some time, but speculation and past reveal/release schedules of the likes of GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 suggest the game will be delayed until 2025.
If I were to guess – I believe the game would release in the holiday of 2025 instead of the spring.
As for when the announcement is made is unclear, but typically Rockstar Games likes to announce its big reveals on its own. So to set expectations, I wouldn’t necessarily expect the game to be announced at E3. Instead, I expect some form of reveal trailer in Q4 2023 to coincide with past reveals.
According to my own sources, one of the major reasons for such a long-winded “delay” is that GTA 6 will release on current-generation consoles only. With the tentative 2024 date being planned as far back as 2021, it was a means of ensuring that GTA 6 would have a sufficient console market to release on.
In late 2022, Rockstar Games had a security breach that resulted in over 70 videos on GTA 6 gameplay surfacing online. In its subsequent earnings call, Take-Two Interactive addressed investors to state that the leak was unfortunate, but they believe it had no impact on development.
“There’s no evidence that any material assets were taken, which is a good thing, and certainly the leak won’t have any influence on development or anything of the sort, but it is terribly disappointing and causes us to be ever more vigilant on matters relating to cybersecurity”, it was said.
As for GTA 6, for now, we’ll need to continue sitting tight and see what gets announced in the hopefully near future.
