A pair of leaks have turned up on 4Chan that claim to outline details of Rockstar's forthcoming Grand Theft Auto 6. Fans of the franchise would do well to take these rumors with a grain of salt as there's no way to know for sure if any of these details are accurate. The leaker on 4Chan goes by Rhanadeng and claims to have been a friend of a disgruntled employee working on the game during 2019.
The source claims that this employee allegedly asked him to anonymously leak information about GTA 6. However, things later improved, and he lost contact with the Rockstar team member. One key detail is that this person also claims the game has been in active development since 2016 or 2017, with pre-production starting shortly after GTA V was ported to current generation consoles in 2014. The new GTA VI game world map is also claimed to be the size of GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 combined.

On the protagonist front, there are said to be four in the game, including a driver called Walther Wallace and an unnamed former Israeli IDF person. Another, Thomas Branigan, is a smuggler who owns an aircraft called the Raven, and Marcus Burke is a drug dealer and father to a young boy.
The area is said to be based in Florida, with Vice City among the three major cities with one smaller city in the far northwest of the map. The game reportedly jumps around in time with part of the timeline set in the 1980s and other parts set in the present day. Missions aren't as linear as they are in GTA V or RDR2, notes the proclaimed leaker. Players will briefly visit a small central American island, but it's reportedly not Guarma. The game starts with gamers playing the role of smuggler, Branigan.

Switching between the protagonists isn't said to be instantaneous, but the camera reportedly zooms out and travels quickly to where the protagonist the player wants to play is located. Sleeping Dogs-inspired parkour is involved in the game as well, but to a lesser extent without wall running. The leaker claims that weapons function more realistically in the game than they have in past titles. An example noted is rocket launcher back blast that ends up taking out an NPC in one of the missions, where the goal is to destroy a helicopter.
Hand-to-hand combat is supported and is said to be similar to Red Dead 2, with the leaker noting it's harder to fight hand-to-hand GTA VI than in GTA V. Player characters can also gain weight in the game, and it affects character attributes as it did in RDR2. Mori Kibbutz is also reportedly in the game, but not much else is detailed about his character.
This leak isn't the first that has surfaced about GTA 6. Last December, a user on reddit claiming to be a beta tester, leaked a bunch of alleged details of the game. In January, another leak claimed that the game would launch in 2021.

Currently (23f, in GA) I work as a remote insurance agent (although I do not do sales, just customer experience & billing issues mostly) & made around 45k last year w/ hourly & bonus. Great health insurance though, which is important for me.
However, I have been considering getting my MLO license but my biggest concern is not having any leads or having to market as I honestly know nobody, really don’t have any friends, or any that would be in the market to buy anytime in the near future. Sales is not my greatest strength either, but I am pretty extroverted. I do know some companies like Lower & Rocket offer base pay + commission & are W2 so benefits & not having to worry about owing taxes. Are there any places recommended or is this even a good avenue to continue with?
My only other idea is getting into UX design, data analytics or Underwriting. I really just want to find something where I can make 70-80k but I don’t really have the ability to afford to fully go back to school right now so looking at certification options.
I guess to sum it up, is it possible to land a decent job at this that doesn’t feel like a call center or that I don’t need connections to succeed in? I also should mention I have a little over $20k in personal loan debt, like $1k in cc debt, & $20k auto loan. Credit score is around 680. Would this deter me from even being licensed to begin with?

Grand Theft Auto is no stranger to add-on content, but the latest in a long line of leaks suggests Rockstar might be taking a bit of a different approach for the long-awaited sequel — splitting up parts of the game to repackage as DLC.
The rumor comes from established Rockstar leaker Tez2, who says Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently targeting a release in holiday 2024 “which has been pushed back multiple times.” Tez2 adds the game may be pushed back again, into to 2025.
Furthermore, Tez2 claims Rockstar is considering breaking up the game’s content into post-launch DLC, to ensure the game can meet a release date. If GTA 6 launches in 2024, it will be a whopping 11 years since the last release in the franchise.
This wouldn’t be an unprecedented move from Rockstar, considering the approach the studio has taken with GTA Online, incrementally releasing massive updates and new story content. Notably, however, GTA 5 didn’t feature any additional story content, just updates to the Online portion of the game.
GTA Online GTA Online has managed to stay relevant for a decade with consistent updates, and it makes sense Rockstar would pivot to that same approach to single-player content.ROCKSTAR Taking this approach would let Rockstar more easily hit whatever internal timeline is established for GTA 6, and provide a road map of content to make post-launch more appealing to players. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time this kind of rumor has been brought up by Tez2, as last August the leaker reported GTA 6 would “expand over time,” adding on new cities after launch.
The easiest approach would be to create content that ties into both the single-player and multiplayer aspects of GTA 6, and creating new cities in-game could do just that. New locations could be fully playable in the online portion, while also adding on hand-crafted stories and missions. This would allow Rockstar to continue the overwhelming success of GTA Online, while story content could help attract new players or those that might not care to engage with multiplayer.
This tactic of splitting up elements of the game as DLC is something Nintendo has been using for years, to great success. Mario Strikers: Battle League, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Nintendo Switch Sports, have all seen scheduled add-ons for new content, even years after their initial release. At this point, it’s not clear how much of a live-service element there will be for GTA 6, but this Nintendo-like approach would allow Rockstar to retain players who are primarily interested in single-player experiences.
GTA 5 Although GTA 5 never received single-player DLC, Rockstar’s director of design said in a 2017 interview the studio would “love to do more single-player add-ons for games in the future.”ROCKSTAR Nintendo stands apart from other developers, though, in that typically these updates are free or bundled with a Switch Online subscription. It’s a smart move, as games like Mario Strikers, which would typically have a very short shelf life, suddenly provide players with more of a reason to stick with it for the long haul. It also allows Nintendo to continue to sell its older, first-party titles with minimal discounts.
There’s no video game property in existence bigger than Grand Theft Auto, and a report in 2020 estimated GTA Online made a staggering $600 million in 2019. Even in 2023, it continues to hold an enviable place in the sales charts month after month. The popularity of GTA Online has only continued to increase over the years, and that mainstream success is exactly what’s poised to make GTA 6 such a massive success.
Breaking up content into DLC lets Rockstar bring GTA 6 back into the conversation every six months, year, or whatever release timeline suits the studio and the community best. This question is for those of us who surf the more remote breaks. I’m up in Alaska and find myself using a combination of NOAA buoys, Windy predictions, and Magic seaweed pacific swell tracker. It works ok, but just stumbled across this Copernicus Marine site. It uses satellites to measure all sorts of variables including wave height, period, and direction. I keep a log of most of my remote sessions and just correlated them with the historical data from Copernicus and it was pretty accurate so far.

Can make a free account. Site is sorta confusing, but if you can figure out how to get out of a tight wetsuit, you can prob figure out how make a custom map with your surf spots and wave height/period overlays. The satellites pass over pretty frequently. Looks like most data refreshes every few hours. Pretty damn cool.
I stumbled across this while trying to make a remote swell buoy (posted about this previously, people were super helpful). The buoy is fuckin hard to make. I’m not much of an engineer. So I’m hoping one of you can report that this satellite algorithm works perfectly and I can stop trying to understand C++.

Quality of life. There is apparently no interest in quality of life at Ableton HQ. The last great update was MIDI capture. 5 years ago. Since day 1 I've wanted to change the default key binds for the software. It's been 7 years since I began working with Ableton and the closest I have is LES + AutoHotkey with Oversampled's script which only covers most of the bases of what Live could potentially do. Max 4 Live has been a lifesaver as well for many of the features which Ableton STILL lacks. Granular, AZ Lab's Pad slicing mode, and Push 2 Arrangement Mode to name a few.
I still can't get over the fact that they haven't added a control + highlight feature after people have slowly been realizing the lack of it over a span of 10 years or so. It's not a necessity but it's little things like that which pushed me away from mouse and keyboard to the simplicity of Push's workflow (pun intended). I also was really hoping when the cloud feature was announced that it would finally allow us to easily share projects with each other by collecting all and saving with the exception of only needing to freeze/print tracks with plugins that others might not have. This would've been a game changer for me and my friends when we want to share the stems of our projects without the use of dropbox or google drive and the hassle that comes with that.
The Note app is a great addition to Ableton's lineup but the integration with other mobile/tablet applications is extremely limited and its features are so limited in general that it barely serves as a musical sketchpad. I've had plenty of other gripes about Ableton's software in the past about a lack of features as new technology is released such as integrating stem-splitting AI as an audio effect or max 4 live device. This is a feature on a handful of mobile music apps like Koala which I frequently have to set up when working in Ableton. I'll leave it there for Ableton's software.
I've had a Push 2 for a couple of years and it's been great for creating and getting ideas down without tediously clicking in piano roll or drawing automation lanes- that sort of thing. It's an amazing device for sampling and so far nothing beats the possibilities of the "hardware DAW". I have many other praises and reasons for preferring the device to anything else on the market to this day but that's not why I'm here. That being said, I can't stand the lighting power options. I understand USB C wasn't popularized until after the development of Push 2 was completed but this is no excuse for not having a rerelease or new model almost 10 years later. This seemingly simple solution to a major flaw in the device is what has me writing this portion of the review in the first place. After purchasing Push it seems like every change I've made to my home studio revolves around getting the thing to be more flexible. I purchased a MyVolts cable in order to power it from a power bank. I originally purchased a laptop and portable speaker for mobile production until I recently purchased a steam deck and set up VBan with my phone so I can use the Push anywhere I want with minimal issues getting audio on any speaker I want and close to 0 latency. Another note, its size. I can't take it anywhere unless it's the only thing in my bag. I have to be extra gentle when carrying it that way because the only solutions to travel are glorified tupperware (Decksaver) and Analog Cases (the standard in bulky but reliable cases since forever). I purchased an Analog case and I rarely use it because it has to be checked on a flight and it's way too bulky to make it on any road trips. No way around it when packing. Nothing new here, music equipment will always be impossible to haul for a number of reasons. Maybe it's not in Ableton's best interest to continue with Push development but it sure would've saved me a lot of headaches and money if they did. Not to mention the other issues I have with the device.
There are so many buttons on Push which, coming from a company that prides itself on creating software with fully integrated UI, is ridiculous. I understand a lot of passion and hard work went into creating the interface of the device revolving around the software. There's a reason the creators have their signatures on the back panel of every device. However, they did not meet the mark when it comes to conciseness and ease of use. It takes multiple button combinations to accomplish what can be done with a single mouse click in the software. I'm aware of many people who have the same complaints in their reviews of the Push. I also understand that this device was intended more for live performance but in my opinion, they targeted the wrong audience. There is also a major lack of functionality when it comes to changing parameters and many important functions of Ableton and VSTs alike. So much has to be MIDI mapped before Push is even remotely close to being a full solution for mouse and keyboard. As someone who takes pride in owning a Push, it is becoming increasingly difficult to justify the price combined with a lack of flexibility and native Ableton features. I haven't recommended it to anyone in a while even though it truly has a monopoly on Ableton hardware integration for obvious reasons.
With the steam deck I purchased, I was able to map almost all of the features of the Push (plus a few software features that it lacks) onto a controller with around 80+ total inputs/ combos which are all easily accessible on 16 (give or take) buttons of the device using the activator options through steam controller mapping. I've playtested these controls with a few friends and we made them at least twice as intuitive as Push 2's interface. This covers almost all of Ableton's necessary features and provides a great handheld and portable solution to music production for half the price of Push 2. Push only accomplishes a similar feat on around 60 buttons with a handful of combinations on top of that totaling around 70 possible inputs/ combos. This is obviously leaving out a lot of the draw to Push being mostly screenless and having a lot of buttons to accomplish exactly that. My argument for the deck is portability and ease of use. I could go on but for the sake of anyone reading this far, consult experienced people before purchasing a specific piece of music hardware, and don't make the same mistakes that we do by not studying up before making purchases or you'll be extremely let down by what you receive.
Edit: forgot to mention the lack of audio drivers in Ableton. The reason so many people come to this subreddit with audio device issues. ASIO is great and most audio interfaces solve the problem entirely but it still baffles me why they wouldn’t create their own like many other DAWs have. Quality of life.
TLDR Ableton is a groundbreaking DAW with plenty of near-necessary features which other DAWs don't provide, but it will quickly be left in the dust if they continue to slow development and procrastinate listening to customer feedback. And when the right group of software developers comes along they will easily take Ableton's place in a heartbeat. Push 2 became outdated the day it was released and continues to become more of a relic to own today. New technology and hardware on the market makes a good argument for the discontinuation of Push, but nothing beats the feeling of a well-designed piece of music hardware when developed by a forward-thinking team. Hopefully, others will agree that while Ableton does a lot of the heavy lifting for music producers, they need to take development and updates to the next level in order to stay ahead of the game.
