1) I tried to kobe in all of my games because I didn’t know it advanced the entity timer. I literally thought everyone got 3 chances to escape. I remember being confused as to why sometimes I died on my 2nd hook instead of my 3rd hook
2) I tried using the flashlight as an actual flashlight. I used to play F13 and in that game they were used to see better. I remember thinking, “man these flashlights fucking suck”
3) I thought maps were broken. Again, in F13 the map shows you the actual map. I remember thinking they didn’t work cause it didn’t show me the map or where I was in the map
4) I thought exposed meant the killer knew my location
5) I used to hit every survivor I hooked. I saw someone do it and thought they did to get them to stop screaming. I thought survivors screaming was annoying and thought other people felt the same. I didn’t know I was bm’ing lol. And then survivors would obviously t-bag me at the exit gates and I thought, “man survivors are so toxic in this game”

 | Hi all, new here. After several bids to build a deck on our 3 year old house, my wife volunteered me to build it myself. The exterior is hardie board, and we prefer to not deal with the pain that’s involved with removing and water proofing. Our only option then is a free standing deck. This will be my first deck build but I’m no stranger to construction or carpentry. I’ve searched high and low for answers to the questions I am asking below. Inspectors in my county are notorious for not answering phones or emails, and when they do finally respond, it’s an “I don’t have time to explain this to you” situation. I (26F) have two very close friends. Let's call them Ben (25M) and Lucy (24F). Ben has been my best friend for nearly a decade and has always been there for me. I became friends with Lucy a bit (maybe 2 years) after I became friends with Ben.
I had a bit of an issue with Lucy at first because we were both officers in a club. I did majority of the work, while she barely did anything. Despite this, we were able to work out our issues and become very good friends. After Ben, she's my closest friend.
After college, Ben and I made an effort to see each other often and call everyday. Lucy and I mostly just talked online and only saw each other once or twice year.
Now here comes the issue. Lucy recently got a new boyfriend. Let's call him Ron.
Ron and Lucy are from very different backgrounds. Lucy grew up rich and privileged while Ron did not. Lucy is an outspoken feminist (much like Ben and I), and Ron grew up in a community that was quite misogynistic. Of course, we can never blame someone for their upbringing. Ron acknowledges that some of his views are problematic and always makes an effort to learn.
Recently, Ron made a misogynistic joke. Lucy got mad at him for it, and I'd like to believe that he realizes he was wrong (idk, he said, "ok I'll just take it back". I'd like to think that's admitting he's wrong but some people disagree.).
Ben picked up on this and started making jokes behind Lucy's back about Ron being a misogynist. I told Lucy about this, and she seemed fine with it and even agreed to it (as far as I understand).
Recently, it came up in a conversation between Ben and Lucy. Long story short with the conversation, Ben realized that making those jokes about Ron (even if not to his face) are wrong. He apologized to Lucy for making those jokes even if it was behind her back, and promised not to make them again.
Lucy got mad, one thing led to another, and she ended up unfriending him. When I talked to her about it, she said that it was because she hated that she was being associated with a misogynist: something that she, an outspoken feminist, would never do. I honestly find this weird since while I understand her staunch principles, her last boyfriend WAS indeed a misogynist (he even objectified a girl in front of her family!).
Ben has been trying to make amends with Lucy since then. Most recently, he offered peace offerings to Lucy and Ron, which Lucy declined. I asked if she wouldn't even give him a chance to make up for his mistake. She said that it's still too early to do anything. Take note that it's been less than 3 weeks at this point since the fight between them.
Now here's my conflict: we had planned to watch Barbie as a group. It was originally supposed to just be me and Lucy, but then she invited Ron to the group, so I invited Ben.
Lucy and I have very strong principles about choosing and siding with other people. Ben is my best friend so I expect him to always side with me over other friends whom I have beef with (unless it's the girl he's dating, then that's understandable. However we haven't really had that problem yet, but that's an exception I'd make).
Lucy has the same principles. We're avoiding the topic of Barbie, but I just know that she will end up asking me to choose between watching it with her or Ben. If that happens, I plan to choose Ben basis that he is my best friend. I impose a certain standard on him, so I can't be a hypocrite and back down when the time comes to apply it to me.
I know Ben is in the wrong in this situation, and he has been trying his best to make amends. I know also that Lucy has her own feelings and boundaries, and she's not obligated to forgive him if she doesn't want to. But somehow there's something off about the whole situation.
So would I be the asshole if I indeed chose Ben over Lucy? Also how do you think I should explain it to her? Do you think there's any chance of them making up between now and July 21?

41/m, I write as many paragraphs/lines as I feel are needed. Dialogue can be a paragraph or less, scene setting can be five or more. It doesn’t matter a lot to me so long as you’re interested and invested in what we do. If you’re not, say something and we’ll change it up.
I’m on UTC-5, or Central Time, US. I work night audits right now, so I’ll have a lot of downtime. Available times are between 5pm to 10:30pm, then 7:30am-10am Sunday-Thursday. If you’re up late, or work nights, I can always post during work.
I’d like to see your posting frequency to be at least once every other day, though if you’re making huge posts where you take your time, a couple a week is fine. Or several a day! I can post at least 3-4 times daily, depending.
I am chill about this. How good your writing is isn’t that important to me, though I’d love a sample. I write as best I can because I love writing. I just ask you speak to me if there’s a concern, rather than just run and block. I can adjust, but I would rather solve a problem than cut someone out of my life.
Here’s the first image I had of the setting:
Iceland. Perspective suspended in the air over the sea, facing the top of a cliff with a jagged fissure in it, just a few hours before sunset.
"The sun is a starburst of tarnished brass, too old to be gold, too soon to be scarlet, suspended just above the edge. The scattered grasses than lean off the ledge are emerald and look warm to the touch, but just slightly. The air holds the breath of winter within it—the sharp points within a velvet pincushion.
The maw of the cleft is dark. Aged fingers of sunlight reach within, feeding the nesting birds the warmth of its final hours. Flits of feathers echo amidst song shared and repeated by rocks and gulls.
Move down, and the schism narrows, too tight for sunny fingers to squeeze through. Bird calls can still be heard, but now also the ocean that breaks against the rock. The curve and tooth of moss and stone twist the crash into new sounds, hollow and whispering of what else the dark hides.
The cliff itself grows in your periphery; the color of coffee met with cream. It is faceted like the edge of some primitive blade, so that it does not crumble to sand when struck, but cleaves into knives and needles. The surface is a sea of waves in desert hues, each crest a razor to the palm.
Down further now, nearing the tide that grows louder, the gap of black only as wide as your arms outstretched. There are no birds now, but if your eyes adjust, bundles of bats can just be seen, shuddering and stretching as they rouse to fly with the evening stars.
Down, and down, narrower and narrower, louder and louder, until a short tunnel forms, large enough for four men to stand abreast, with four more on their shoulders.
At the end of this short journey, within the cacophony of a hundred waves breaking a hundred shores, there is the very top another tunnel, which would surely be revealed at lowest tide.
A shimmer of golden torchlight dances there like a hearth fire, brighter and warmer than the remains of the sun.”

My character has no name, but is called “Aesir” after Norse tradition. He is a man that is not a man, with silver eyes, hair long and black and wild, fair skin and dark furs that cover it. Wings blacker than his hair appear as needed, ethereal, each feather that of a peacock, yet where fake eyes would be, real eyes watch, prismatic and shining in judgement of good or evil.
He does not know how to speak, but can share feelings and visions to convey his intent, in a way he has done with few others.
His purpose is to protect the locals from evil airs and spirits. The people rarely catch sight of him, but are grateful for his work; they place charms to invite his protection: of a pair of raven feathers with two rainbow eyes painted on the wide ends, strung together to the striker of a silver bell, that when the wind blows, the chime rings out to him.
Possible stories we could write together:
A woman—your creation—crashes her ship at the cleft in the rock, needing rescue or saving herself, suddenly standing before him in his cave.
A resident of a local village seeks him out, in search of his help or in gratitude. Perhaps she is declared evil unjustly, perhaps she simply needs to meet him herself.
An arranged companion, selected from the community, to help him in his work protecting the local villages.
In all cases, he will show himself to you, because you are different, in a way you define.

I just randomly felt like writing down how I play just in case any other solos wanted some ideas since these days I feel like I'm consistently having good wipes and always stacked. Keep in mind these strats are made only for if you're playing solo and just trying to get blueprints on a high pop server. Obviously there are better ways if you have the man power.
So here are my main strategies as a solo for how to consistently get stacked:

So here are my main strategies as a solo for how to consistently get stacked:
- Trio servers are by far the best solo experience you can have imo (Rusticated US Trio being my favorite).
- At the start of wipe the very first thing I do is go to fishing village and do the fishing rod quest and fish until I have a small boat. Then I loot every tool crate on the way the way to my desired base location. Doing this stacks you up on bows, cross bows, pickaxes, salvaged picks, hatchets, sometimes a jackhammer as well as enough scrap for a tier 1 right off the bat.
- I usually base in between a fishing village and one of the oilrigs (highly prefer small oil) and if that isn't ideal then I base in between a fishing village and underwater labs. Basing directly on the water is imo the easiest way to get ahead as a solo.
- If it is force wipe then I will fish until I have enough scrap for a submarine and some torpedos to counter the first cargo off wipe since people are less likely to buy a mini to the first cargo. Theres a 50/50 chance they leave first cargo with a mini but I have gotten some pretty insane starts doing this. You just trail cargo until they drop down with the rhib and resurface the submarine and torpedo them. This works often enough to where its worth giving it a shot.
- If you're based near smoil you can take it with very minimal gear as a solo (compound bow, crossy, nail gun). I will fish for a blue card and take smoil with the goal of getting the elite in the blue room and hoping for a gun (this is a force wipe strat and isn't that worth doing if you have bps already).
- If playing on wipe day on some 500 pop server, going to smoil after someone has already taken it is very ideal because there are multiple crates that respawn decently fast and I would suggest camping smoil for roughly 20 minutes just doing this. I've never done this and not gotten something useful to bp once I get home because the crates respawn kind of fast when the pop is that high. Sometimes you'll get counters but I think this is still worth attempting on bp wipe.
- A somewhat safe way to recycle as a solo when you are far from outpost/bandit is if the map seed has the harbor that has the recycler that is close to the water. I use submarine to drive up right next to the recycler. You can keep an eye out and if anyone shows up you can quickly loot the recycler and jump down into your submarine. I usually build bases that include a boat base that can fit one small boat as well as one submarine. If you don't have a garage door bp yet just use double doors and take them off and put them back on when you need to enteleave.
- If the harbor method works well for you it isn't a bad idea to just focus on hitting barrels in the water and recycle until you have a tier 2 or even a tier 3. The fastest I've gotten a tier 3 with this method was 2.5 hours into wipe. If you have the patience you can also fish at fishing village until you have enough scrap for a tier 2/3, I find this really boring and don't usually do it ever but if you're decent at fishing you can expect 600-800 scrap every 40 mins doing this. I say every 40 minutes because that is how long it usually takes to break a fishing rod.
- On force wipe I'm not too worried about getting raided so half way through the day all i have is a honeycombed 2by2. Since I'm on the water I make a farm base on the water in the snow and this is usually a 1by1 with an airlock and maybe even an extension to the base where i can safely keep a single boat. I bring basically all my tools to this base any jack hammers i have salvaged picks, chainsaws, ect. and just farm until I have enough to make a good sized base.
- If all has gone well my base will be done and I will attempt to get a minicopter and start planning a raid. The best way to raid as solo is going top down with a mini since it is much harder for people to counter you.
- While doing all of this you should have a minimum of 2 furnaces at home running metal the entire time you're out of base pretty much have them running 24/7. Use a third one to run sulfur but metal is a priority for a solo on wipe day so you can log off with a strong base. Aim to have a base that costs 24-30 rockets to raid, easily achievable with a bunker.
- I usually strictly play solo because I really like the difficulty of doing all of this on my own but once I'm established I actually have a discord of like 30ish players I've played with over the years and if I need help with like a raid or something I'll just @ the entire discord and usually have 2 decent players for the trio server lend me a hand even if briefly just for a raid. If you play a similar way to me I recommend making a discord server with people willing to do this. I've played like this for years so it took a while to get a decent number of people who know the drill and will do this with me.
- If having a bad wipe you can always resort to just farming the ocean barrels and the sunken chests but I find this really boring and just join someone elses wipe if it comes to this. Though, it doesn't usually come to this. Doing this is a super chill rust experience though if you don't mind it.
- Contest every cargo even if you think there is a low chance of success. I will try to be the first person on and try to loot the elites and just leave if I get anything exceptionally good. If nothing good comes of the elites I will wait at the bottom floor and try to grub someone for a full kit and then leave with it if possible.
- If you're based near labs I recommend doing the fishing village quest to get a pump shotgun and then go to labs and if anyone shows up to counter I would immediately camp a ladder and wait for them to come up. Its best to bring a shotgun or an smg to labs, a semi rifle isn't that great here. Side tip: you don't need a diving tank to get into labs. Just bring flippers and make sure when you go underwater you are directly above the moon pool, you can do this without taking any damage and it also makes it harder for people to hear you come up.

I’m on UTC-5, or Central Time, US. I work night audits right now, so I’ll have a lot of downtime. Available times are between 5pm to 10:30pm, then 7:30am-10am Sunday-Thursday. If you’re up late, or work nights, I can always post during work.
I’d like to see your posting frequency to be at least once every other day, though if you’re making huge posts where you take your time, a couple a week is fine. Or several a day! I can post at least 3-4 times daily, depending.

Iceland. Perspective suspended in the air over the sea, facing the top of a cliff with a jagged fissure in it, just a few hours before sunset.
"The sun is a starburst of tarnished brass, too old to be gold, too soon to be scarlet, suspended just above the edge. The scattered grasses than lean off the ledge are emerald and look warm to the touch, but just slightly. The air holds the breath of winter within it—the sharp points within a velvet pincushion.
The maw of the cleft is dark. Aged fingers of sunlight reach within, feeding the nesting birds the warmth of its final hours. Flits of feathers echo amidst song shared and repeated by rocks and gulls.
Move down, and the schism narrows, too tight for sunny fingers to squeeze through. Bird calls can still be heard, but now also the ocean that breaks against the rock. The curve and tooth of moss and stone twist the crash into new sounds, hollow and whispering of what else the dark hides.
The cliff itself grows in your periphery; the color of coffee met with cream. It is faceted like the edge of some primitive blade, so that it does not crumble to sand when struck, but cleaves into knives and needles. The surface is a sea of waves in desert hues, each crest a razor to the palm.
Down further now, nearing the tide that grows louder, the gap of black only as wide as your arms outstretched. There are no birds now, but if your eyes adjust, bundles of bats can just be seen, shuddering and stretching as they rouse to fly with the evening stars.
Down, and down, narrower and narrower, louder and louder, until a short tunnel forms, large enough for four men to stand abreast, with four more on their shoulders.
At the end of this short journey, within the cacophony of a hundred waves breaking a hundred shores, there is the very top another tunnel, which would surely be revealed at lowest tide.
A shimmer of golden torchlight dances there like a hearth fire, brighter and warmer than the remains of the sun.”

My character has no name, but is called “Aesir” after Norse tradition. He is a man that is not a man, with silver eyes, hair long and black and wild, fair skin and dark furs that cover it. Wings blacker than his hair appear as needed, ethereal, each feather that of a peacock, yet where fake eyes would be, real eyes watch, prismatic and shining in judgement of good or evil.
He does not know how to speak, but can share feelings and visions to convey his intent, in a way he has done with few others.
His purpose is to protect the locals from evil airs and spirits. The people rarely catch sight of him, but are grateful for his work; they place charms to invite his protection: of a pair of raven feathers with two rainbow eyes painted on the wide ends, strung together to the striker of a silver bell, that when the wind blows, the chime rings out to him.
Possible stories we could write together:
A woman—your creation—crashes her ship at the cleft in the rock, needing rescue or saving herself, suddenly standing before him in his cave.
A resident of a local village seeks him out, in search of his help or in gratitude. Perhaps she is declared evil unjustly, perhaps she simply needs to meet him herself.
An arranged companion, selected from the community, to help him in his work protecting the local villages.
In all cases, he will show himself to you, because you are different, in a way you define.

I also want to acknowledge that there are much cheaper and easier ways to do this; I know. But I’m a video game collector and video snob, so I wanted to use my gear. Basically the problem is this: I want to stream my SNES game play on Tiktok Live Studio and Streamlabs at the same time, but I only have a laptop available. This means limited USB hubs, Limited power, and I can’t install a Game Capture graphics card in order to simply multi stream my footage. On top of that, the graphics cards I have access to don’t have multi streaming capability. How do I overcome this issue, so I can have two instances of gameplay that i’m able to use in two different programs? This is how I solved this issue: While you can’t multistream on the Elgato HD60 X and HD60s+, you can use both of them at the same time on one machine. These are the capture cards I used. In my situation, I have a very basic Dell laptop with an intel processor and an NVidia1650. The first thing I made sure was that the capture cards were in separate USB hubs. For me this was as simple as plugging the USB cables for the capture cards in opposite sides of the computer. In the left side I plugged in the USB camera, and HD60s+. In the right side of the computer is the 3.5 mm cable from the mixer as a line in, and the HD60 X. This next part is pretty overkill, but as a game collector I love playing my original hardware, but I don’t love having a massive CRT taking up space, so I did get a Retrotink 5x. There are PLENTY of cheaper alternatives for this, but this is what I use. The Super Nintendo is connected to the Retrotink via S-video cable. Then in order send the Retrotink video signal to both capture cards, I used a 1 input to 2 output HDMI splitter. The HD60s+ only has USB output, since I don’t need a second tv output from it. The HD60x has USB and HDMI output to the tv. This configuration should solve as a “multistream” workaround for some Elgato capture cards. In your streaming software, just add your capture cards, as they will be labelled by their names when you add the sources. One final issue you may have is if you try to add the audio from the Elgatos to your streaming software sources, you may overload your USB hubs, and also i’ve generally just had a ton of issues with syncing audio and video in Tiktok Live Studio and Streamlabs. You can solve this by just adding the audio as a separate audio device in Streamlabs but it’s still weird and Tiktok live studio doesn’t work that way. So instead I’ve connected my TVs output to my mixer using audio cables and mixing all audio in my headphones on my mixer and then using that audio in both programs. I’ve included a crudely drawn diagram of my setup, not that the ports aren’t necessarily in the same location on every device and it’s drawn for readability of the cable routes. Let me know if you have any questions about this setup or think it sucks. It is a TON of cables. |

Hey folks. A little situation I’m currently going through at work. Just need to vent…
I applied for a specialist role a few weeks ago with my current employer. Been there for eight years and in my current role for five. Always had good yearly reviews and consider myself pretty good my job.
The business is currently going through a restructure and letting a lot of people go via redundancy. My team hasn’t been specifically targeted yet but I think that will come by the end of the year. We have about 8-9 data entry type roles and are consolidating our systems, so once that’s done I figure they’ll cut that to 4-5.
I have no interest in reapplying for my current role (sr data officer). The main area I work in is SAP and they have let so many SAP specialists go that I can see it being a nightmare working in this area for possibly a few years. It’s been a struggle for a while already tbh.
The role I applied for is in the GIS area (closely aligned yo ours) which I find much more interesting and the team a lot more capable of managing and improving the application.
So I got an interview and, as I don’t have a GIS background, struggled with some of the technical questions. Overall the interview probably didn’t go fantastically but I was more relying on my previous performance, ability, and work history with the hiring manager (we have worked together on other projects).
So nearly three weeks go by and just got told I’ve progressed to a second interview. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad it wasn’t a straight up no, but can’t for the life of me imagine why they want to put me through a second interview. I haven’t time travelled back and gained some qualification they aren’t aware of, or a significant amount of work experience I hadn’t told them about. I’m just stumped. I did ask HR what the interview format would be but haven’t heard back yet so maybe they’ll give me some details before hand.
Anyway that’s where I’m at. If I get the job, great. It’s much more interesting work and a change of manager would be very welcome. But if I don’t get it, it’ll feel pretty good to say I’d take a redundancy sooner rather than later and they can sort the mess out themselves.

I wanted to share my experience of what i believe was me meeting my “highest self”. I’ve known that i’m a pleadian for about 2 months now. i’ve really fought with the idea that pleadian are “white with blonde hair”. Tonight kinda showed me a perception on WHY people say that but i believe it’s an absences of color.
I was meditating with the intention of meeting my Highest self, tonight. I sat in a wooden chair that was mine. i was in a BRIGHT white room with an invisible table in front of me.
A little orb of white light appeared across the invisible table. Then, it was like someone turned the transparency up and a shockingly BEAUTIFUL, silvery/white haired being appeared.
I could tell they were feminine. They had long silvery~white, THICK hair. The top half was braided back and they had short micro bangs (i have micro bangs but theirs were shorter). They had slight elven ears. Black eye brows that were more arched that my natural brow. Slanted amber colored eyes, a pinched in nose (could literally only compare it to MJs nose) and really cute pinched lips too.
They were tall, had to be 7-8 feet and wore a white flowy dress that had a high neck and long sleeves the billowed out past their hands. but their arms were LONG.
Here’s the kicker... it’s like their skin was… a jello consistency and almost translucent. It was nearly clear with a neutral/ grey tinge. PERFECT with NO wrinkles. It seemed like the more i tried to look at their face or focus on them, the more their skin disappeared? The silver~ white hair and the translucent jello skin is why i believe there is an absence of color. it’s hard to describe so it’s easier to say “blonde and white”. I’m curious if anyone else has experienced this.
We communicated through telepathy and feeling. Only. One of the ” understandings “ was that everything must be out of love. anyways that’s the gist.

It's been 5 months now. Around this time, 5 months ago, my period was supposed to start, but it never came. I was having unprotected sex with my boyfriend for around 6 months and nothing happened, so I stupidly believed one of us was infertile or something. Anyway, my period always came on time (28-33 days), it felt weird that the 33day mark was approaching, but I was having cramps so I thought my period was on its way. However, during the morning of the 34 day, I knew my biggest fear became true. I hadn't taken a pregnancy test yet, but I scheduled an appointment at the abortion clinic. I knew how far along I probably was. From the moment I suspected it, I knew I didn't want it. I talked to my bf about it and we went to take a beta HCG test. (I know, dramatic af) two hours later, it was confirmed. I was around 4-5 weeks along just like I imagined. I already had the appointment, so everything we could do was wait. We went to get an ultrasound to confirm the location of the sac the very same day, it was on my uterus. We both got to see the tiny sac, and I felt nothing. I was relieved it was exactly where it needed to be, so I didn't have to undergo a more complicated procedure. Some days later, I went to the clinic with my bf. It was on the January 21st. It was a Saturday. I took mife on the way home. It felt weird. I still live with my parents, and they are hella conservative and strict. They didn't even know I had a boyfriend let alone the fact that I was having sex, so it was all low-key scary. 2 days later, I took miso. I was at my bf's house, I bled nothing but some weird brown stuff. I bled so little that we got worried. We went for a follow up 2 days later, and they told us to wait it off. They gave us a week. During that week, I bled more and more, so I was hopeful. The day of the follow up, they told me the sac was completely gone, but I had some endometrial thickness of 11mm, so they scheduled me for a vacuum aspiration and labed my case as a failed MA. I got scared af. My boyfriend and I didn't know how to react. They also said I had to get a form of birth control to be put in the same day of the vaccum procedure. I chose to have a copper IUD. The day of the vaccum aspiration was a nightmare. I could feel everything. I was fully awake, and I was crying mid procedure. I got out of there crying, hating myself. I hated the fact that I had to come back 15 days later for ANOTHER follow up, so they could make sure the IUD was in the right place. I went there with my boyfriend again, and they said everything looked alright.

So yeah, I will never regret having my abortion, but it has been harsh to adapt to this new cycle dynamics. I miss my old cycles, but other than that, it's great.
I have to admit that even though I knew I wanted to terminate my pregnancy even before knowing for sure that I was pregnant, I did want to build some sort of connection with the fetus, but I couldn't. I couldn't feel anything. I still don't. I tried, trust me. I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt, but I never felt like I could bond with the fetus or the idea thereof.
Sometimes it feels like it never even happened...
I'd be almost 6 months pregnant if I had chosen to keep it, but I didn't and I don't regret it.

I (24M) am currently working as a bar manager at a small local restaurant chain that has began franchising. It’s my first bartending job and I’ve been there since November 2022. The location I work at is currently the only location with a full bar, but a second bar will open at a new location in two months and a third will open in about a year. I will be offered a Bar Director position pretty soon and if all goes well, it will be 65K annual salary plus tips when working bartending shifts. However, I made a decision in February to move to Las Vegas this fall and try to find a bartending job there. I’ve visited Las Vegas about 10 times in the last year and a half because I love it so much. I’ve met a few bartenders there and they claim to easily make over 100K a year by just being a bartender. So I decided to move and pursue a career there, however this was before I knew that I was going to be offered this position at my current job.
I fell in love with the art of cocktails 3 years ago and spent the majority of my time learning and practicing cocktails at home until landing the job I work at right now. My goal is to open and run my own bar before I’m 30.
I’m just torn on what is the best choice so I’m reaching out to Las Vegas Bartenders (or any bartenders) to give me feedback. What will benefit me more in the long run to hit my goal of owning my own bar? To promote here at home and make a decent wage and learn what it takes to run multiple bars to develop all the skill sets I need to run my own, or to move to Vegas and potentially make a lot more money and learn new skills to help save up for my future bar? My ex husband beat and sa'd me over the ten years of our marriage, I finally got out all be it traumatised and with an abi, in 2014. I reported his violence to police, with medical evidence of his crimes to support the accusations. He was charged with several items and was facing at least 15 years. His first two lawyers quit, citing they could not morally defend him on their own good faith but lucky for him a human rights advocate decided to take his case believing people of his race are unequivocally targeted by the justice system and I was just vindictive. She challenged the current laws so much that it ended up in the highest court of our country where some points were accepted others dismissed. As you can imagine such challenges to the laws drove a strong media presence and although an order is in place to protect our identities (as there are children from this relationship), that didn't stop a known newspaper publishing 12, yes twelve stories depicting me the victims as a liar as well as two tv talk shows on the matter, as his precious fancy lawyer found my childhood sa claims that weren't followed through at the time and her reasoning was I am a liar. Granted she had to do something to sway a jury as the physical evidence was overwhelmingly supportive of my claims. So it wasn't enough that he broke me from his violence in the marriage, he also had to destroy my image and reputation to avoid jail, in which he succeeded. That trial took nearly 6 years! So I found out last year his mother was diagnosed with cancer, which of course is awful! However today I found out that her death is imminent and I am almost happy with that, not that she is suffering of course but, that finally he will know pain. I want him to suffer and I think this will help with that.

Having rediscovered the joy of collecting/owning music 18mnths ago I purchased a pretty decent entry-mid level vinyl setup which I have thoroughly enjoyed. Trouble is, vinyl (a) remains obscenely expensive and I cannot therefore purchase albums at anywhere near the rate I'd like to :-) (b) takes up a lot of room and (c) tweaks my OCD something chronic in terms of its fragility and 100 things that can go wrong every time I put a record on (I know, I know).
So I've decided to swap out the turntable for a CD player to pair with my Sony Dh190 receiver and Q Audio 3020is (which are amazing speakers). I collected CDs throughout the 90s and built a huge collection which I (stupidly) sold off around 15yrs ago, like so many others. Vinyl is great, and I'm not debating the merits of one format over another - for me it is about finding a compromise that allows me to own and enjoy my music in a way streaming can never replicate.
Seems that you can pick up a high quality, second hand CD player 10-15yrs old at a decent price. I'm currently looking at a few refurbed items online including:

So I ended up getting a 2024 Street Triple, and am absolutely in love with the bike. I opted to have the dealer add and install the Bluetooth module, as I wanted the ability to navigate from the dash rather than use a quadlock or other mount for my phone (as well as some of the other benefits, but that was the big one).
When I purchased the bike, the shop was closing when I picked up the keys. So the salesman sorta brushed through the steps and we never connected my phone at the dealership. Unfortunately, that dealership is 2+hours away and haven't been able to fix it over the phone...
Here's what I've been able to do:
I've downloaded the Triumph app, and added my bike. I understand that with iPhones, you have to pair it twice (once for the music portion, once for the navigation). I believe I have all the access set for Googlemaps and Triumph's app. Everything's updated, etc.
I follow the steps on the app. I will pair, initiating the process on the bike and then accepting on my phone. This step seems to pair the music portion.
Then for the navigation portion, it says to start the process in the app / phone. I will have my bike's screen on the home page, and will see a pop up requesting to pair with my phone. I'll accept. I won't see any error messages on the bike, and I will see a green checkmark saying I've successfully paired both steps on my phone.
However, when I go into the app and attempt to navigate to a location, it says I need to pair the bike and kicks me back to step one...
On the plus side, the music control seems to work.
Any ideas? I'm trying to avoid taking my bike back to that specific dealership, though may for the first service interval and if they can't fix it, just have them remove the bluetooth...

 | This squad immediately joined one another (for 5) and then did the “hey we’re friendly” trick to kill my two teammates…then spent the entire match camping my teammates body at Crypto room spawn, after our third plead and joined them (now 6). I used a light heli from Bagra (while being chased by this team) as a diversion to get the rez. They remained near Bagra so we (2 of us) immediately returned to get our loot back. I was downed and instantly gutted of everything possible. My teammate rotated for my Rez. The 6-man squad bought an exfil when the final was called in and this gave me and my team mate one chance to settle the score. Teammate runs a kamikaze into the back of their exfil and throws out a cluster mine. I jump into the door and mow them down from behind with a hurricane that was left at my body. Hi everyone! I work a retail job in a bustling market. I only work 27ish hours a week, but the Saturday shift is what gets me. It’s a 7.5 hour shift and I’d easily serve 200 people during that shift. I find my anxiety peaks about two hours before the shift ends, and once it does end I’m left feeling incredibly drained. I struggle with burnout, I’ve also been sick nearly constantly for the last couple months, and I suspect that the burnout is at least partly to blame. I often have no energy to do anything that I enjoy, and I avoid social events outside of working because of the exhaustion. I do love my work though, I love my coworkers and it’s a low waste bulk food store so it also aligns with my personal views. I would love some advice on how to navigate this exhaustion, and how to better look after myself after work. Especially after the Saturday shift, I tend to feel hardly human and spend the next few hours recovering from intense overwhelm. Sorry for the length of the post, I would just love some help (I am seeking therapy too fyi). Thank you. 💛

I'm trying to learn android development and I am initially confused by the different project structures between Eclipse and Android Studio. This makes it difficult to follow tutorials designed for Eclipse. Could anyone let me know why these differences exist? Should they exist?
For instance, if I were to locate the R.java file in the two different IDEs, the paths would look like this:
Eclipse: app\gen\com.example.app\R.java
Android Studio: app\build\source\r\debug\com.example.app\R.java
Why are these paths different? Why is my R.java located in a debug folder in Android Studio? This lead to some errors early on, and if anyone has any insight into these differences I would appreciate them.
