In a few years from now I will graduate college and work. I am wondering about where I should live or what place is right for me. Right now I live in a small town in Indiana. I was thinking about moving to a somewhat bigger city in Indiana, but now I’m not to sure if I want to stay here or not. One of my friends thinks I would like it in Japan and another thinks I would like it in California. So I’m going to list my preferences for what kind of area I would want to live in or just random information that might make a difference.
-I prefer to live in a suburban type area. (Somewhere that isn’t a huge city but not a small town either.)
-I want to live in a house. I would hate living in an apartment building forever.
-I would want to have my own car and drive it around. I don’t think I would like being in a subway all the time.
-I don’t want to live somewhere that has a high crime rate. I want there to be little crime.
-I want to live in a safe place. I don’t want to deal with dangerous places weather that be people or issues with nature.
-I think it would be cool to live in a beachy area but I also don’t want to deal with hurricanes.
-I think it would be cool to live in California but they have a lot of wildfires and things are expensive there. But maybe it wouldn’t matter if I made a lot of money.
-I want a decent sized backyard. I want to own a trampoline.
-I don’t plan on having kids and I probably won’t get married either.
-I want to be able to walk around and get exercise.
-I would want there to be nice places to shop.
-I don’t want to live in a boring place with nothing to do.
-I would love to explore my city and go to new places in it and walk around a lot.
-I would prefer to be in a liberal area. I would want to be around people that are pro lgbt.
-If I ever got raped and got pregnant I would want to get an abortion.
-I want to live around kind and chill people.
-I want it to be quite around my house, or at least pretty quite. As for in town I don’t care as much.
-I can’t handle supper hot environments. I have been to Florida and it’s too hot for me. I wouldn’t prefer to live in a super cold environment either but if I had to choose I would prefer a cold environment over a hot one. But a place with like a 60 degree Fahrenheit temperature would be nice.
-I don’t want to live in a poor area. I want to live in a place that I would make a lot of money from or at least a decent amount. (I plan on becoming an interior designer.)
-I would probably need to live in a somewhat busy city for my job. There aren’t many interior design jobs in small towns.

-I hate super busy traffic.
-I get lost easily and I need to use a GPS a lot.

For context, I, a fourteen year old male, had my end of eighth grade banquet two days ago. One of the boys in our class asked a girl out and she said yes. I got motivated by it to ask my crush out, since if he could do it why couldn't I? But, I, being extremely introverted and borderline anti-social, not only couldn't build up the courage to do it, but also didn't even know what to say, so I told one of my friends about it. He told me he was going to try to hook us up. I told him that's not how it works and that I need to do it myself, but he went anyway and afterwards told me she wasn't interested. I don't blame said friend, he had my best intentions at heart, and, though I was a bit shaken up afterwards, I told myself that it is what it is and I was already prepared for it. I was not. The following day, I cried because of it, after which I, probably to console myself, imagined a whole scenario where she came to me afterwards and told me about it herself, so I would apologize and tell her that I would feel really lonely and needed someone to care for me, and she would change her opinion because, at that moment, I thought she refused me because I was anti-social and she probably saw me as weird and a bit self-centred and seeing me like that, she would see that she was worng. Then I cried again because I was so worthless that I had to imagine crawling out of a hole I dug myself into (further context, when I entered fifth grade I was separated from most of my former colleagues, so I became anti-social and, though I tried afterwards to speak with others and enter the boys' friend group, I always felt excluded and that I was following them everywhere without being par of them) and that I couldn't accept the girl's rejection. Discharging my emotions, I felt better for a few hours, then the sadness crawled back in. I tell myself that I'm going to find another girl that will accept me, but I'm not even sure that I could find someone better than her, or that a girl could actually like me. An escaping mechanism for me has always been music, but now if I hear music that is sad or based on love, I think back to her and my heart hurts again.

I'm pretty handy and I do a lot of DIY repairs, upgrades, and remodeling, but I have very limited experience with concrete.
At my old house I ran into a shed problem. I had an oversized concrete pad poured for a metal pre-fab shed. I wanted the slab bigger than the shed on one side to keep some potted plants off the ground, but outside the shed, so on one side, the slab extended out about 2 feet beyond the shed wall. :Unfortunately, I found that during heavy rains, water would seep/flow under the shed walls and pool inside. A puddle of water inside in the heat of Florida meant anything metal inside the shed rusted badly. I assume the water came from the side of the slab that extended out past the walls, but I wasn't sure. A friend that does remodeling said I should've had the interior of the shed floor floor poured just slightly higher than the rest of the slab, so the shed walls would sit just slightly lower than the interior floor, then no water could have come into the shed.
I'm now at a new house and want to build a small lean-to shed up against the existing concrete block wall of the house with PT 2x4s and siding, and I want to add a slab for it. Due to the seepage issue I ran into before, I was thinking about somehow adding a 3 1/2" wide lowered (about 1/4") perimeter edge around the 3 sides of the slab that are away from the house (which the the walls of the shed will be built upon), so when I bolt down my base 2x4's to the concrete slab for the walls, any water that could possibly ever try to come in under the walls and into the shed (from driving rain for example) won't be able to seep inside, because the interior floor is just a little higher. Is this a thing that's done, and if so, what is it called? Is it a good or bad idea? And if it's a good idea, what's the best way to do it? I had a horrible time spading the Sherman VC (Italian Firefly). The Mk 6 solid shot made penetrations hard to achieve, especially Soviet tanks. Got to the next round, not a lot changed. Then I unlocked the 3rd round (I believe it's called the Mk 8), and the experience basically flipped: I can now snipe KVs and T34s from long distances reliably, I no longer have to pray to catch them on the side; best part is that there's the APDS coming in next!
A similar thing can be said for the Swedish tanks with 37mm gun, the only reason they're at that BR is that they have APDS at the very bottom of their upgrade trees: until then it's a bounce fest!

In the meantime, I took the first job that was offered to me, which ended up being a warehouse associate position from a temp agency in November 2021. It was mainly night shift, with some overtime in the day shift. It has been my only job assignment. My pay started at $17 CAD, currently $19 CAD.
The job is repetitive, but doable. It paid my bills and help contribute to paying rent for my family. Thanks to overtime, and just not going out because of sleeping during the day and just not doing much in my life, I have an okay amount of savings (Currently about $12,000 CAD). However, the hours are based on business needs. Thus, I could be working 40+ hours in one week, and 10 hours or less the next week. It fluctuates, but the low end of hours tend to occur during my study time for CPA PEP.
While it may not be smart, I'm looking to leave this job at the latest by July 31, 2023. My plan is to stop working around that date to study for the final CPA PEP module and study for CFE. I will be searching for work (mainly relating to accounting) during my study time. I hope that after writing the CFE in mid September, I successfully secured a position relating to accounting. I made it this far, thus I want to help myself to pass my first attempt at the CFE. (Note: This reason isn't a factor for me wanting to quit immediately, the other 3 reasons are the main factors).
- Reason: No prospect to move within the organization or get another assignment from my current agency. While I am happy that I have a job that allows me to making money to pay the bills and rent, the job is pretty much a dead end without the company I work at buying out my contract from my agency. Thus I am not gaining valuable experience that will help me find work in accounting nor am I able to move within the organization. I get passed over for other high level duties and hiring opportunities in favour of the other associates (whether hired through the company or agency). When I ask about other duties I would like to perform or be trained on, I'm told that my current duties keeps operations moving smoothly, that I am constantly exceeding expected productivity, and not to worry or feel bad since I'm doing an excellent job, thus the reason why I'm still employed here. My agency doesn't provide any office work assignments. Thus, I took what I can get.
- Reason: Being paid less (despite seniority). When I started (November, 2021), there were about 20 workers during my shift (1 supervisor, 1 team lead, 2 warehouse clerks, and 16 associates). Now, there are 12 associates (1 supervisor, 1 team lead, 1 warehouse clerk, and 9 associates). Many associates were hired through the company, where a few (like myself) were hired through agency. I stuck around because they liked my productivity, knowledge, and professional behavior. After about 18 months, as of May, 2022, I am the most senior associate during the night shift, but I am being paid $1 less an hour compare to the other associates hired through the company. Moreover, when overtime happen, associates employed through the company are paid double their hourly whereas I am still paid the same rate ($19 on night, $18 during the day) until I hit 44 hours. Even when I hit 44 hours, I am only paid 1.5x the hourly rate because it's law in Ontario.
- Reason: Feeling excluded, partially feel unwelcomed in the workplace, and being left out. I also felt excluded whenever associate and management staff are interacting with eachother. I notice them talking to eachother for long periods of time (sometime in their own culture's language, despite a rule indicating that English is only allowed to be spoken in the warehouse). I usually sit alone in the lunch room. I am an introvert, thus, I honestly don't mind working while they has a conversation about their lives or whatever. But what really made this a problem is that whenever there is an emergency meeting that everyone (including agency) are required to attend, no one notifies me. Usually, the meetings are about social events, workplace problem and resolutions, addressing new rules and feedback, and other important matters. A few times, I stumble into the meeting while everyone is listening to management about important matters. Other times, I never noticed that there was a meeting until management finds me working. Of course, I get in trouble for not dropping my work when told by management staff that there is a meeting to attend, with my defence being "no one told me". There isn't a post bulletin or loud speaker to announce the meeting. The meetings occur randomly and takes place near the management workspace of the warehouse. Before an emergency meeting, the supervisor, team lead, and clerk are suppose to find everyone before it starts.
I apologize if my post sounds ranty, I just want advice on leaving my current position quietly. Even if it's a realistic perspective stating that what I want is impossible and management within the company will know my final day of work, I thought it still wouldn't hurt to ask here. Hello. I'm trying to create a .vcf that contains all the necessary places for promethase. For this I downloaded a text file with all necessary RS-IDs from Snpedia. I filtered my Nebula VCF with these places and the same with a reference .vcf (This refernce contains all known snps with reference bases) made. Now I can't go any further. I want to make a python script that goes through the list once and creates a complete vcf that contains all the necessary places. To do this, however, I have to edit the entries in the vcf reference so that they are interpreted as "Call". What's the best way to do this? (I want Promethase to believe that these references were actually found).
