Trying to find some info about exactly what functionality I would have on my camera and I can't find all the answers I'm looking for. I have an AF Nikkor 300mm f/4 (the one with screwdriver autofocus), and have been considering trying a teleconverter just for the sake of trying it. I know it would be manual focus, but I can't figure out how aperture control would work. The D7500 doesn't have the aperture ring feeler, the TC-301 doesn't have CPU pins, and from what I've read the camera's aperture control with the command dial doesn't work for non-CPU lenses. Would the camera know that a teleconverter is attached and still control the aperture with the command dial, or would I have to use the aperture ring on the lens?
TL;DR would I be able to use my D7500's sub-command dial to control aperture with a TC-301?

I've been seeing the reading comprehension devil growing far too strong lately, so to correct this, I am trying to get a thought-out interpretation of today's chapter out there. This is not definitive and you can feel free to comment on anything you think I've gotten wrong or missed. I'm thinking of making a series of these, so here's a link to the last chapter's analysis. Now, on to the analysis.

Chapter 124

Starting with a bit of action, we get a tiny bit more insight into the War devil's power: it can also use parts of its own body to form weapons. This seems to be a last resort however as it's shown that doing so causes pain. This may potentially explain why Chainsaw Man was only able to half-eat Yoru in hell, which would be interesting. Then, following this train of action, we get to see a bit of Yoru's intelligence, able to quickly deduce what the devil is, its potential source, and what to her seems the optimal play to maintain control and stay alive, although this doesn't work out the best for her.
Speaking of that, we get to see more of Asa's cat trauma and other fears (she just like me fr) and more importantly than that, Yoru's reaction to it. The first time we see a little bit of her trauma, the orphanage lady, Yoru doesn't really have a response other than to tell Asa to get her shit together. The next time, however, she visibly pauses before going into action. The third time, she's audibly confused and tries to tell Asa to stop being scared, to which Asa does the classic rant, to which she again pauses. This is a sign that she may actually develop as a character sometime soon, hopefully during this arc, into actually giving a shit about Asa and not just using her as a puppet.
This also lays the groundwork for Yoru actually becoming less of a devil and more of a person, both from an emotional aspect and from a practical one. The emotional aspect is already there, I mean she's literally feeling the same emotions as a person what more can you ask for, but the practical aspect to it is just being revealed, which is that she can't get stronger through fear anymore. Her strength is now almost totally reliant on her relationship with Asa and how well she can convince her to do things. If she doesn't grow now, Asa will be permanently scared of her, forcing her out of Asa's body whenever she attempts to do anything along with, and even if she does get control, she won't feel guilty if she hasn't grown and still can't do anything.
After this important moment for character growth, we get back into the action with the falling devil. She is revealing even more tricks to her powers such as being able to kill things, able to conjure up basically anything including a soup plate and cart, able to completely immobilize someone, and able to just randomly open up a door into hell. It's funny to see her going full-in on the cooking thing (Fujimoto heard us). Following this, we get to see a caterpillar-shaped devil with a bib on eating people, which is probably one of the "residents of hell" she mentioned in the last chapter. What devil it is most likely won't be important, but it's most likely the bug devil or gluttony devil (although Fami already has that spot).
We also get confirmation that the falling devil is after Asa and Yoru and a potential reveal as to what exactly Asa and Yoru actually are. First off, the confirmation. Because we know that she's after Asa and Yoru, this opens up a few potentials as to who exactly these "residents of hell" are that sent her to Earth. The most obvious choice is Fami, who, in the absence of any other mind-reading techniques, would be the only person to know Yoru's name, however, it could also be the justice devil going off of Yuko's memory of Yoru's name, although I believe that Fami and justice are one and the same. Secondly, the reveal. The falling devil says that they are a "fusion", which could mean a few things. Asa and Yoru are a hybrid, she's calling them a fusion in reference to the meal, or both. It is my personal belief that she is only calling them a fusion in reference to the meal, which I think is backed by the context of her having this cook persona and that she's referring to them as ingredients, acting like she's preparing some exotic cultural "fusion" of devil and human, but I could be wrong, who knows.
TL:DR, Asa is still having a bad time but Yoru kind of knocks her out of it enough for them to get to relative safety as Asa has a verbal panic attack instead of an internal one, the falling devil is still dangerous, also she's apparently after Asa and Yoru, uh oh where's that Chainsaw Man when you need him

people in my industry has said NTA but I want outside perspectives. everyone involved is mid 20s
BF lives in our hometown (Im in another city) and we went to HS together. he's part of a big friend group, we all went to HS together. his best friend is A. before this all of us got on really well and would drink/hang out together anytime I was in town. all was well

getting to the issue, my career is in animal shelter welfare, been in this industry since I was 16. it's my life passion and I love my job. currently a tech in the clinic at a DFW animal shelter which specializes in medical cases (parvo, orthopedic cases, needing eyes removed, etc) and I was just promoted to lead (yay!). when jobs came up at a party BF started bragging about my promotion (I love him) and got congrats from the group. great, if not a bit embarrassing lol. I was fine with the topic moving on
but AGF chimes in, "is your shelter no kill?"
I tell her we dont use that term, but dont euthanize animals for time/space/breed and have a live release rate of over 90%
she goes on to say we should because "I dont know if I could work at a shelter that isnt no kill, thats how you know it's a good one. I couldnt kill helpless animals". I'll admit, I got annoyed
explained to her as politely as I could that "no kill" is a bogus term that absolutely doesnt indicate if a shelter is "good" or not and is incredibly easy to achieve if you know how to game your live release statistics. examples being only taking in the most desirable, healthy, easy to adopt out animals and forcing more borderline animals to open intake municipal shelters, refusing to euthanize animals that are suffering/dangerous so they dont negatively effect numbers, or instead of euthanizing an animal they transfer them to another shelter who they know likely will, but it wont effect their numbers
AGF was upset and just said that doesnt change what she has seen online about what "those other shelters do" and every shelter should strive to be no kill and if we werent then it probably meant people would think we're "animal killers"
I snapped that our shelter has saved the lives of so many animals that needed treatment the overcrowded city shelters and even many "no-kill" shelters couldnt provide, and even if they ended up having to be euthanized, at least we knew we did everything possible to try and ended their suffering, and I am proud of the work my shelter does. regardless of what clueless keyboard activists like her think
she yelled and cried that I was a bitch and "this is why no one liked you in highschool either". I have to admit, I kind of laughed and said it was really sad to have to bring highschool into this when we are all grown ass adults. she got more upset, BF and I made a quick exit. he supports me but is in a weird spot because A is his best friend so he feels caught in the middle. but I wont apologize for explaining facts to someone

Today I have received a message from some number claiming to be Gcash asking to verify account details. Sim registration This number has been sitting idle for a month and no other transactions were made outside of Binance and Gcash. I as wondering if anyone here is also experiencing this. I am a bit worried na as Gcash is becoming untrustworthy day by day. I am planning pa naman to use this Gcash acc to withdraw every three months but it seems na its not worth the risk. We moved north about 500 miles 2 years ago. It was a transfer for work and came with a $50k+ raise all while they pay about 80% of my masters degree. We have a nice house, a beautiful toddler, another one on the way, living more comfortably then we ever have. She hates it though, but it's always been harder for her to connect with other people, and she just does not care to try, she just wants to be by her parents in Indiana. Sure wish I could be by mine too, my mom is on Wisconsin, dying of an unusable cancer, my Dad is in Michigan, my family is all spread out, but I'm used to moving.
Just, it hit me real hard today. Corporate came in to make "restructures." Means some people I know and care about may be losing their jobs, obviously makes me nervous as I've been working my way along this path for 10+ years, coming out if school during the recession.
My wife said she hoped I'd get fired so we'd be forced to move by her parents. And to me that's just saying that I hope that you've failed in everything you've tried to accomplish on making a better life for us. And that just digs really deep.

I'm 19. I'm the oldest sibling of 3. And all my life, I have always been the golden child. The perfect daughter. The shining representation of what a successful young woman should be. The one who has perfect manners, constantly helps everyone when asked, takes the lead with planning family events, caters to everyone, keeps everyone happily entertained and stays away from everything considered rebellious because "I'm simply not that kind of person". And I have to constantly be that perfect representation, or I'll be looked down on from family.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not here to gloat about my "perfect" life or to say I'm better than everyone. I'm here to express how tired I am of being held up on that pedestal.
In any case, I want just once in my life to do SOMETHING rebellious. Not anything crazy, but something. And of my own choice too.
I've never been to a party before, ever, unless it was a family birthday. I've never snuck out of the house to go do dumb shit with friends in the night; the only thing I've done was sneak out my window to read a book under the tree in the front yard when I was supposed to be asleep for school. I was never able to go from school straight to the mall with friends, I always had to come straight home. I've only ever had some light drinks with my mother, here at home, where we just got slightly tipsy. And I've eaten edibles a couple times, also with my mother. My mother is allergic to weed, so she had a horrible experience. I was not allergic, and loved every moment of being high. But after those couple times, my mother shunned the use of it. Mainly because SHE had a bad experience, and because she can't dream of her perfect eldest daughter continuing the use of it.
Again, don't get me wrong. I love my life. I'm greatful to be close with my family, and to have that family to rely on. My family isn't perfect, nor are we rich. But we have enough money, and enough love, to get by. We're all very close, and I'm forever greatful to have that in my life.
But still, I want so badly to do something rebellious, and of my own decision.
For example, vaping (since that sounds fun), or to start using weed again on my own during weekends for a bit of enjoyment. I honestly have no idea what it is I could do, because I'm so out of the loop with all that stuff, that I'm not even sure what all is out there.
When I was high, my anxiety was gone and I felt like I could finally be myself, relaxed and unbothered by the pressure to be perfect. And I've also had countless dreams of vaping, and tasting something delicious as I breathed the vapors in, and watching in awe as I blew the beautiful cloud of smoke out in front of me. I've also enjoyed when I had some drinks, because the flavors are delicious and being tipsy is like being at the very beginning of being high.
So yes, I've experienced some small things. But that was with my mother, and only a couple times.
When I get the chance to move out, I want to buy a vape, or to buy weed. I don't know if I want to smoke, or what. I'm not sure how I'd feel after starting it, or if it'd be bad enough that I at some point couldn't hide it from family. I obviously don't want to start, and become so addicted to it that it becomes my life. Nor do I want to do it and become an addict so bad I can't keep a steady job or a home.
Obviously I will keep myself healthy, and still be the caring and helpful person I've always been, with a college degree (which I'm working towards) and a stable job. But is it bad that I want to do something like this? To start vaping or using weed?
God 🤦🏻‍♀️😅 I don't want to sound rude, or incompetent, or anything. I promise I don't think about anyone like that. I'm just such a beginner at all this stuff that I just... I need advice. Or, reassurance. Or confirmation. Or a hug.

For several months I've been able to run my Clarett+ 8pre on Windows 11 with 32 buffers in Reaper with no issues. Then I didn't use the system for a couple of weeks, and when I came back to use it today I was getting clicks on recording. Things I've tried:

• increasing to 128 buffers fixes the problem, but I don't want to do this if I can avoid it
• my drivers are the most recent
• all windows 11 tuning steps from the link below except for BIOS C-state disable (which I don't see in my bios) have been done

• No new software has been installed (knowingly) since it worked
• No other applications were running

We pass the corridors and enter a dining hall. There are three gentlemen of class and distinction, talking amongst themselves.

“Ohhhh,” one of them groans, who goes by the name Razzal, as he reclines in his chair. “I drank too much.”

“I told you not to be so gluttonous,” another man, who wears a monocle and is named Duhamah, chides the first. “Now where was I? Ah, yes, the rumors of the eradication up north.”

“I put no stock in it,” offers the one who is quite familiar to us, he being Samuel. “I simply cannot believe that an entire hive was eliminated. It’s simply impossible.”

“I don’t know,” Duhamah starts as he scratches his chin. “I have seen far greater deeds done. What say you Razzal?”
​
The gluttonous one belches. “I haven’t an opinion one way or the other,” he responds as he rubs his distended belly. “And I shan’t have one until I have seen it with my own eyes. Which is why I plan to depart next evening. That is if my belly doesn’t, mmm, keep me.”

“You know,” Samuel begins as he leans forward. “I have half a mind to join you.”
​
“Well,” Duhamah adds as he leans forward. “I think-”
​
“Victor! You have a lot of explaining to do!” a bellowing voice cuts him short.
​
Samuel, or Victor, this is getting confusing, greets this new fellow. “Your Grace,” he speaks as he rises from his seat.

“You will not dissuade me with pleasantries!” his Grace, one Turrel barks. “What have you to say about the theft of my relic?”
​
“Why, I have no idea what you are talking about,” Samuel, okay let’s just call him Victor, assures his master as he rounds the table.
​
“I thought you might take that angle with me, and had I no proof I would have to capitulate,” Turrel starts, seemingly defeated, but soon rallies. “But I have proof and I know who the guilty party is. You see, I always safeguard my most precious possessions and the Soul Nail is no exception. I can sense its power and I know it has been used and I can sense its presence in the vicinity of your old home.”

Victor swallows, but keeps a calm disposition. “I can assure your grace, its proximity to my former dwelling is sheer coincidence,” he speaks as he tries to stay composed.

“Coincidence?!” Turrel booms as he gives a laugh. “I do not believe in coincidences.”
​
“How can I possibly prove my innocence to your grace?” Victor grovels as he lowers his stature.
​
Turrel takes a moment to think. “If you retrieve the Soul Nail and return it to me, I will consider you, absolved,” he lays down the parameters for innocence as he stares intensely upon his subordinate.
​
“Then I shall leave post-haste,” Victor relays as he bows before departing, under the watchful gaze of his peers.
