I've never biked in NorCal and am in charge of route planning for a small group of out-of-town folks for an upcoming weekend (Fri - Sun). We're an assorted bunch of people looking forward to trying out off-road bikepacking (we're all relatively new to both off-road and touring/bikepacking, but not entirely). I'm a the least fit and most newbie to gravel/ beginner mountain biking and want to make sure I'm planning something mostly reasonable. We're planning on starting in Fairfax and have a Friday night reservation at Coast Campground in Point Reyes.
Can anyone give me feedback on the route for day 1? https://www.strava.com/routes/3083205549276558224 I think day 2 will be low-ish mileage putzing around Point Reyes-adjacent areas and day 3 will mostly be a reversal of day 1. I tried to obsess over route details from various sources, but I'm worried about conditions after the very wet winter and also that I may have missed some key relevant details since it is alllll new to me.
I initially booked Saturday night at Hawk campground (with the intent of leaving from SF) but that just feels like too much, so I'm going to try to get another night in Point Reyes (maybe Wildcat?). If that doesn't work: (1) does Sam P Taylor really not turn away bikes? I don't think we would be rolling in particularly early, and it would be on a Saturday night... and (2) any opinion on Olema Campground? I'm open to other suggestions
We are all coming in from less treed areas and are excited for redwoods. I'd originally had us going through Muir Woods and am bummed that I had to cut that out in order to be reasonable. Are there other areas that would be recommended as spectacular for desert folks? Any cheese or ice cream recommendations if we get to spend day 2 putzing around?

Hi, I recently got a Roccat Kain 100 and my in game FPS keeps dropping because the default polling rate is 1000hz and my potato MacBook Air 2017 can't handle that. Is there any way for me to change the polling rate of the mouse to 500hz so that my FPS is more stable? I tried using VirtualBox and Bootcamp already but Windows 10 kept failing to launch. I also tried using Wine and Crossover to open the Roccat Swarm software but it just crashes as well. Does anyone have any solutions to get it to lower my polling rate on Mac because until then I cannot play properly with this mouse? Also no one in my family uses Windows so using their laptops for the software isn't an option either. The only way to get access to Windows is when I meet my friend but it's going to be 1 month before he comes back from overseas.

Hi everyone! Starting to research laser…I have some upper back hair, upper shoulder hair, and maybe some forearm hair I want to reduce…I am a man and the hair has gotten extra thick these past few years.

1.) was laser worth it to you? 2.) how common is burning, scarring, hyperpigmentation, and other complications? 3.) are the follicles visible as dots and unsightly after laser? 4.) Hi everyone, not easy, but my mom has multiple myeloma and I want to express my respect for what she's going through by participating in my first ever marathon!
I've never ran for anything, or donated to anything to anyone in my life.... until recently. I want to do this to collect funds for myeloma research and to prolong my mother's remission as long as we can.

Most of my builds are theme builds that match a captain to a ship matching their species. Today's entry is a Lethean captain who utilizes their dangerous psychic abilities to cripple enemy ships while they fight. Most of the decisions I made on this build were based on representing that in the game, and are, in many cases, very, very not meta. This build will not win any DPS races, so if that is what you are looking for, do yourself a favor and find a different build. Like usual for me, I don't typically inflict my theme builds on other parties or elite content, so they are rarely parsed, but I don't post them until I am largely satisfied with how well they get through content. This one is no exception to that rule, though that doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement, there usually is, even within my theme.
The idea of making a psychic combat ship is taken from the fact that that is how they fight on the ground in the show, at least the one episode I recall them from. I felt that they would want to capitalize on their own strengths in space as well, and this build is designed to represent that. While their psychic abilities on the ground are lethal, this build is focused on placate and confuse mechanics for the most part, since there aren't many actually called out psychic powers for ship combat.
The idea is to hit them with a placate, then give them another target to go after, and then confuse them, so they end up targeting other things, letting you attack with impunity.
The placates the ship uses are Strike From the Shadows, Slippery Target, Failsafe Scrambler, An Explosive Expert doff. Other placate sources were considered, but discarded due to lack of adequate triggers, or wanting to use the slots they would take for other things. The primary method of confusion is Attack Pattern Lambda III, which along with things like eject warp plasma can also mess with their perception, for what little that is worth.
Since I am relying on an attack pattern to deliver confusion, and can deliver placates the same way via Strike From the Shadows, I want my weapons to hit as many targets as possible as fast as possible, so I rely on beams which strike instantly and FAW, Torpedo Spread, and Entwined Tactical Matrices to deliver those effects.
Now, placate and confuse effects also enable a few other things, Abundance of Caution giving me sizable DRR against confused enemies, Strike from the shadows crit bonuses, and Concealed Repairs healing effects.
There are also a number of build elements that encourage me to get close and stay close, for example the debilitating effects of the Bajoran Defense set (which I an counting as debilitating psychic effects in my own mental fantasy of the character. Pretty much any debuff to the enemy on this build can be added to that list as well), Slippery Target's additional sizable DRR bonus, and Painful memories.
Painful memories is one of the few ship based things the game actually calls out as being psychic (via it's flavor text: "Cause a psionic energy resonance with the EPS of enemy ships"), so I felt somewhat compelled to include it, even though it isn't very efficient. It's inclusion on the build compelled me to include the only 2 engineering abilities that are both foe-affecting, and AOE: Eject Warp Plasma and Unstable Warp Field... and ironically they both have a shared 15 second cooldown, so you won't see me using them at the same time... but I largely don't need to.
I paired Eject Warp Plasma up with Coolant Ignition, which does not share a cooldown with each other, but do behave similarly in their deployment. I typically use them with the active rep trait Tethered Non-Baryonic Asteroid, which lets me pull groups of ships behind me in the clouds as they deploy. My ship's turn rate is high enough that I can even be broadsiding them with my beam arrays as I do this.
I paired Unstable Warp Bubble up with Deploy Countermeasures, together handling any small battlefield objects out there, and helping keep me pretty safe. The deploy countermeasures has the additional affect of providing more targets fro enemies to hit other than me when I confuse them.
Speaking of those additional targets, photonic fleet and aceton assimilator both also serve this purpose. However of the three, ideally enemies target the assimilator. Any drain effect it might have is really incidental. It's really there for my confuse effects to get as many enemies hitting it with energy weapons as possible. I have wracked up a surprising amount of damage doing that, even in solo play.

The Common Unhealthy Practices While Using Phone are:

DECREASED ANXIETY 📷 The loop of comparison in which a person usually gets stuck while using social media leads to inferiority complexion, low self-worth, decrease in self-confidence and negative self-talk. Eventually all this lead to increase level of anxiety and in worst cases depression.Tips to decrease or avoid anxiety:

• Realize that the virtual world is the filtered version of the real world.
• Take a social media detox challenge i.e. delete all the social media apps from the devices for a week or month to spend more time offline.

Hi, Small fyi I haven't been in a relationship since birth if you can give me advice that would be helpful.
So I have a crush on a girl (24F) who was introduced to me by a family member, we've been talking here and there (Long distance) for almost 1 year also sharing some signals and reciprocating it. We're both busy with acads and life, and recently she's been a bit more busy than usual I have been supporting her through her busy times.
Family member has said previously she likes me and I recently asked again and she still does. So I wanted to take this time after 1 yearish of chatting to her, I confess and told her how I genuinely feel, and if we are both on the same page, she said she can't commit and promise anything and relationship isn't priority currently and being friends is fine. I started 1mg a couple days ago. The day after I did feel I was fuller a bit faster. I don’t snack and have only lost 2lbs since starting from day 1. I also still feel a bit hunger.
I do not have any negative side effects other then some constipation as I increased dose.
I want to hear from those who experienced the same. At this point did it work for you over the coming weeks at same dose? Or had to increase dose further to get the appetite suppression?
Reason for me asking is id like to discuss with the Dr if increasing to 1.5 is an option YET. Since I do not have negative side effects.

paranoid 1, I bought HW and I will keep my seed phrase safe and I would only use it for receiving asset and transferring asset. No contracts would be used because of my over cautions. I dare not even use it to connect to Gnosis wallet which should be super safe and reputable to create a multisig wallet. I rather buy a new Trezor one to make a 2/3 multisig with my ledger and my MetaMask. Even that level of protection and caution, I still worry the life saving in my wallet might go disappeared one day when I wake up. How do I solve the paranoid?
Paranoid2,my set passphrase could not lead me to my hidden wallet someday I future. Yup I afraid of my original wallet in my HW being hacked. . So I put half of my life save in the original one and half in hidden wallet with passphrase. Why not simply put all in hidden wallet? Coz I am afraid one day I wake up , my passphrase can’t lead me to my hidden wallet even though I am 100% sure my passphrase is not wrong. How to solve this paranoid?
Paranoid 3, planning to set a 2/3 multisig with gnosis safe but afraid of that I can’t access my multisig wallet even though I have 2 wallets control. Then all life saving in gnosis safe wallet is screwed. But at least there is a advantage about multi sign wallet over passphrased wallet. That is I can proof easily that the multi sign wallet is already made of those 3 specific wallets. Since they are just contracts record. on the blockchain. So there is no reason that I cannot access my multi sign wallet with either two of the wallet seeds. At that case I think I could turn to some tech geek or the Safe wallet developers to help me enter the wallet since that would be their fault if I can’t access my wallet with enough number of seeds. How do I solve my three paranoias. Pls help and comment

Current day enemies of NATO would be the very first ones to pose an offensive attack on the "Exercitus Divinus" (Divine Army) as others posed it to be 3. He is limited to 3rd Millennium tech, although with His genius and the combined funding and effort of NATO, He creates the first iteration of the Thunder Warriors 4. All rebellions within territory are immediately stamped out by the Thunder Warriors, ending them before they cause significant setbacks
R1: God Emp successfully convinces the more religious members of NATO that He is indeed a living God. More freethinking nations like the US are suddenly under civil war over this radical ideal. He first must consolidate His army. R2: God Emp then marches west, with His combined NATO army, and His Thunder Warriors. How does this play out? R3: He moves eastward, and now more vocal adversaries against the west like China, Russia, Iran and North Korea, are under the sights of the Emperor. Do they hold up?
Questions: C1: How difficult would modern day Terra, with it's politics, societal standards, and geographical landscape, be for a man who's basically a God made flesh? C2: Considering God Emp is a bit wiser, if He used Catholicism to leverage His legitimacy, would it be any easier? C3: How many people would die before Terra finally unites under His imperial aquila?

paranoids about normal ledgeTrezor HW and using passphrase and using multisig wallet gnosis safe,please help solve
paranoid 1, I bought HW and I will keep my seed phrase safe and I would only use it for receiving asset and transferring asset. No contracts would be used because of my over cautions. I dare not even use it to connect to Gnosis wallet which should be super safe and reputable to create a multisig wallet. I rather buy a new Trezor one to make a 2/3 multisig with my ledger and my MetaMask. Even that level of protection and caution, I still worry the life saving in my wallet might go disappeared one day when I wake up. How do I solve the paranoid?
Paranoid2,my set passphrase could not lead me to my hidden wallet someday I future. Yup I afraid of my original wallet in my HW being hacked. . So I put half of my life save in the original one and half in hidden wallet with passphrase. Why not simply put all in hidden wallet? Coz I am afraid one day I wake up , my passphrase can’t lead me to my hidden wallet even though I am 100% sure my passphrase is not wrong. How to solve this paranoid?
Paranoid 3, planning to set a 2/3 multisig with gnosis safe but afraid of that I can’t access my multisig wallet even though I have 2 wallets control. Then all life saving in gnosis safe wallet is screwed. But at least there is a advantage about multi sign wallet over passphrased wallet. That is I can proof easily that the multi sign wallet is already made of those 3 specific wallets. Since they are just contracts record. on the blockchain. So there is no reason that I cannot access my multi sign wallet with either two of the wallet seeds. At that case I think I could turn to some tech geek or the Safe wallet developers to help me enter the wallet since that would be their fault if I can’t access my wallet with enough number of seeds. And I would suppose they would be able to help at that case?
But if with passphrased wallet, if my passphrase can’t lead me to my hidden wallet even though I am 100% sure that is my passphrase , no one could help and would even say and judge that it must be ur memory of the passphrase is wrong.

Hi guys,
In my game, I have an exec who has a vision of playing a Batman/Green Arrow style corp enforcer. He's taken the tech Team Member with the idea that they could act as a "Q" or Lucius Fox type armory man, providing helpful gear.
I'm well aware that this is in the realm of homebrew because RAW, the Tech the Exec gets has neither Fabrication or Inventor abilities. However I like the idea, and it's cool, plus I feel it gives the Exec something more than just "here's a dude that can repair your stuff lol". The player is aware that he won't get anything truly gamebreaking and is more after mission specific or single use items (Think that scene in Dark Knight where Lucius goes "Ah yes, we have a glider specific thing that would fit the bill nicely" or the million different "one single use dart in the watch which does X" in James Bond).
A few ideas I had were:

• Just giving the Tech Teammate a few ranks in Maker, similar to how the Netrunner gets a lower level version of Interface. This feels self limiting, because the big inventions are going to be out of the skill reach of a Teammate Tech, so could work well. My primary issue here is that the Tech has to commit downtime to invent/make stuff, whereas the Exec can do their own thing
  
• In addition to/as an alternative to the above, my thinking was to use the professional services as a weekly fee for the Tech teammate to justify them being able to invent and make stuff (Or source it) for Batman. Essentially this would represent resources used in invention, procurement costs and probably also the greater expertise that the Tech has compared to average corp hires. This puts a cost on the procurement of items above what an actual Tech player pays, so is maybe balanced?
  
• My final thought was to have a random roll/percentile roll based off Loyalty (Possibly in addition to the costs above). Over and you don't get anything, equal or better you get a minor item and >5 under Loyalty you get something more major. This puts a cost in place for the Exec as they want to keep Loyalty higher than normal, and has the narrative advantage of keeping the spontaneity of Bond and Batman where the tech guy goes "Here's an exploding watch, figure out how to use it". Primary downside here is that it puts more onus on me as a DM to come up with stuff.
  

So yeah, as I've said, very aware that this is homebrew, but just trying to figure out a way to make something work. Or am I totally off base - does this make the Exec too good and should I shut down the player?
