I don't wanna. submitted by pickled__pufferfish to MinecraftChampionship [link] [comments] So, now that the games have been announced it's time for more predictions from my regression models. Of course, this event has a couple of unique challenges: lots of new players means lots of player proxy decisions, and of course there's Bingo which I had to think of something for. Firstly, for player proxies, here are the relations I used. Note that I'm not too familiar with the Minecraft skill of many of these players, so I won't confidently say I've gotten all these right, but it's a non-canon event so I certainly won't be losing sleep over it. Cleo ~> Impulse, Owen ~> Joel, Guqqie ~> Gee, Sykkuno ~> Elaina, LilyPichu ~> Tina, RyanHiga ~> Michael, ChocoBars ~> Vixella, Mysticat ~> Seapeekay, Gizzy ~> Scar, Piso ~> Bad Now, as for Bingo, I decided on a bit of an unorthodox approach, but it was pretty easy to implement so I went for it. Essentially, I did a weighed average of a some different performance predictions, mainly focusing on other team games and past Bingo stats. The formula I used was [SoT Predictions * 1/6 + BuildMart Predictions * 1/6 + Grid Runners Predictions * 1/3 + Most Experienced Player's Team Average * 1/3]. I weighed Grid Runners more because I think the skillset best overlaps there, and the "most experienced player" aspect is due to most players not really having solid Bingo stats. So, lots of subjectivity in this exercise, but there's not much of a choice. Seems to somewhat conform with the general consensus, though Pink is certainly high (maybe Bad is an aggressive pick for Piso, idk). Also, feels like Aqua really got the short end of the stick with the game selection, sucks that yet another TapL team might have a bad time. That's all I have for this post. As with every non-canon event, I'll have to decide whether to include the stats in my models. Now that I've introduced event scaling (performances are adjusted based on how strong the event is) it's easier to include non-canons, but it's really a game by game decision, especially when remixes are considered. |

I only rlly watch grian rn, but I just joined this subreddit and I scrolled for a bit and realized I have no idea what’s going on with any of the other hermits and I wanna know more, are there any hermits that kinda talk about what’s going on with other hermits and communicate to a lot of the other ones or should I just watch more of them? I was thinking about watching scar, bdubs, or mumbo more because they seem pretty fun but I just haven’t yet.

Bdubs and Etho would both be on yellow afterwards. Etho however would go down to red after being killed by a creeper. Bdubs for most of episode 8 would take Etho's place in most of the events. Etho would join BigB and Scar temporarily. Bdubs and Ren would come up with plan Bubble-Vate, where they would end up finding Scar, BigB and Etho who would all die except Etho who is spared. The rest of episode 8 goes the exact same way.
In episode 9, Scott teams up with Etho instead of Joel and Grian. As soon as Ren dies the 3 of them scare away Joel and Grian. Joel and Grian end up finding and killing Bdubs on his yellow life. The episode goes the same way until Grian ignites his TNT trap which ends up killing Bdubs. The ending then continues on the same way

So, I thought it would be fun to go over some team placement streaks for individual players, specifically the unluckiest of streaks. Of course, even the slightest MCC nerds know the most famous ones, like Ranboo's and Captain's streaks of no dodgebolt appearances, or Kara not winning since MCC1. However, I wanted to explore some more detailed streaks, like "canon events without a top 5 placement" or "canon events in last place".
Note: The Simmers, in particular Gluon and James, break this exercise since they place bottom 2 almost every event they play. Thus, I've decided to omit them. Also, all "Active" streaks were filtered for players who have played at least once in S2/3.

i’ve recently started watching grian’s series (s9) and on episode 36 when he shows the big ibuy and a couple of the guys houses i was quite shocked they have done all that in complete vanilla survival, or is it not completely vanilla? building mods?
