Destroyed by debt

2023.05.31 18:06 The5thseason Destroyed by debt

I don't even know if I'm looking for advice, just maybe words of comfort.
I've been dating my boyfriend for a year now, we're both late 30s. We were incredibly happy and have an amazing connection. Never even fought. I can honestly say this is the best relationship I've ever been in and I've never been happier.
We had just begun to think about the future together when he brought up that he was having doubts. He's ready to do things like buy a house, but my student loan debt scares him. That's totally valid and I understand his perspective and fear.
Admittedly, my debt is large. My mom was a single parent and struggled, so I had to take out loans to make it through both undergrad and grad school. I admit that I probably took out more than I needed, but I was a stupid kid and thought I'd easily pay everything off. I graduated into the recession and it took a long time for me to advance in my career and make a decent salary. I also didn't have great examples in managing money in my parents, but I thought since I was doing better than them (always paying bills on time, near perfect credit score) that my situation wasn't too horrible. None of this is an excuse. I understand the gravity of the situation and take full responsibility for my choices. I can see now how dire it is and I'm willing to do everything to fix this.
But it seems like he's going to be ending things. While I totally understand his perspective and appreciate where he's coming from, it still hurts. It feels like my debt outweighs all of the other great things I bring to the table as a loving and supportive partner. Especially since I'm willing to take this issue seriously and make changes. Yet he's not even giving me a chance to work on this.
Perhaps it's a bullet dodged for both of us. Because it also makes me wonder that if we continued on, when the next big problem comes up, he'd just run away instead of working on things as a team.

UX design: how to become a UX designer in Five Steps

https://preview.redd.it/8pi3mw3n173b1.png?width=1200&format=png&auto=webp&s=722719df396700f26116ae0ad3625673c39e4041
Behind any excellent application design is the team of professionals who designed it. We expect smooth website flows and get upset with issues on low-quality websites. But have you ever considered how to become one of the professionals who define the designs of future products?
User Experience (UX) Designers are people who define the way a user will interact with a website, tool, or any other digital application. These professionals build firm bridges between service providers and customers.

Steps to Becoming a UX Designer

Step 1. Enroll in the training.

Become a part of a UX community by joining Careerist’s training. Meet your peers and instructors. Get inspired by portfolios that work and kick-start your own journey.

Step 2. Attend training sessions.

Studying can be challenging, especially if you are a busy person. With Careerist, you can choose whether to participate in live sessions or watch a recording, which gives you extra flexibility.
Don’t hesitate to ask any questions that might be bothering you. When you attend live sessions, you will likely get the answers faster, but feel free to ask a question in a group channel on Slack. We never leave questions unanswered.
Dive deeper into the topics with efficient homework tasks, and get homework reviews from top-notch professionals. Get a chance to work on your first case study for your UX portfolio by following step-by-step instructions, learn how to work in Figma and Figjam, and practice it every lesson.

Step 3. Participate in an internship.

Careerist offers the chance to join an internship with its partnering companies. Become a part of real-life projects and get insider experience you can share in future job interviews. As a fresh graduate, you will start building a resume straight away. An internship is a great chance to add a second case study to your UX design portfolio.

Step 4. Prepare for job interviews.

All Careerist students have unlimited access to class recordings and follow-up materials. Everyone can review the materials anytime they want.
One-on-one support and mentoring ensure that you will never get stuck during the training, or even after graduation.
Your mentor will help with your resume and LinkedIn, portfolio, and all parts of the interview process preparation, including presentation, app critique, problem-solving exercises, and even behavioral questions.
Also, mock interviews with your mentor will help you review UX-related questions and raise your chances of passing real interviews. Don’t forego the opportunity to boost your confidence with effective interview preparation.

Step 5. Get hired!

Follow the previous steps and you are likely to get a job in a new field within a couple of months of graduating. Careerist grads usually land positions with an average starting salary of $82,155 per year.

Why Learn the Careerist Way?

In a world full of learning opportunities, it's hard to pinpoint the best option at first glance. Let's dive deeper into what makes Careerist training stand out from its competitors.

Price

We offer one of the most competitive prices in the market for UX Design training, while also providing career services.

Support

We provide mentorship until you secure a job, and for one month after job placement.

Workload

8-12 hours per week is optimal for people who already have a job or other responsibilities. We offer the opportunity to watch recordings and set deadlines, which helps instill discipline in students and achieve outstanding results.

Homework

Every practical homework assignment will be reviewed through a screencast with personalized 'how-to' recommendations to ensure perfect results and the creation of a competitive portfolio with case studies in a short time.
We have designed the homework load so that students with jobs can study with us - one assignment per week. You can complete it on weekdays after work or on weekends by attending a co-working day, where classmates can offer help and advice. One assignment per week during the learning phase will allow you to build a study case that will become part of your student portfolio. A resume is an essential part of finding a job, but a portfolio is crucial for a designer!

Instructors

Three training instructors work in different companies such as Meta (Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, etc.), Google, and Lowe's Companies, bringing varied tasks, tools, and experience. In every lesson, you can ask questions about their experiences and expand your knowledge about the market and profession. Most of our instructors have worked their way up in their profession independently and understand the challenges of navigating conflicting information and lack of support.

Program

Our program is designed to make the student's path shorter and more progressive by focusing on the most important aspects and excluding unnecessary elements.
We don't include non-practical topics; our training centers on stages of the product creation process and real tasks.

What UX Design Skills Will I Get?

You'll gain access to a carefully curated set of abilities that are in high demand, paving the way for a successful and fulfilling career. Get ready to master these sought-after skills as you embark on an exciting learning experience with our training program.

2023.05.31 17:53 fenris52223 You guys make me feel broke.

I am a sole breadwinner, my wife and daughter want for nothing. I make 170k a year after bonuses, which is more than 95% of other people in my state. I know I’m well off, on track to retire by 45-50. Currently at 1.6M total NW and mid 30s.
Then there’s 90% of you fuckers with your 200k plus salaries, partner with another 150k, rental incomes of 100k, and all sorts of other crap going on. I feel like a poor SOB every time I look at this subreddit…. Lol.
EDIT: wow, lots of replies. I’m not depressed or anything about this, I love my life and what’s in the future. Just laughing about how I know I’m doing so well but when surrounded by all of you doing better it makes ya feel smaller, ya know? Like if you stick a college basketball player up against the NBA. He knows he’s good, but how much better others are can be humbling. I’m glad for all of you killing it harder!

2023.05.31 17:50 redlinepies Leaving the social work field: where can I go from here based on my degree, experience and location?

I currently live in NYC, and graduated college with a BA in Applied Psychology and Human Relations.
In upstate new york: I had 2 internships in college in the field of psychology, did a service year immediately after college, and began working in a psych-related job immediately after my return. I quit when the pandemic happened (work environment didnt respect employee health), then started working in a supervision position in a psychology and community-based setting 6 months later. I worked at a Cafe for those 6 months in between.
I worked that supervision position for one year for very low pay, and very high stress, working a 6th day every week at a Cafe to supplement my income. I was promoted to a manager position, but at this point I was so burnt out from working so much under such high stress. I did the math and calculated that I would still need to work a 6th day to afford rent even with my promotion. I even calculated that the raise I would get with receiving a Masters degree would still warrant me working a 6th day to afford rent and bills.
During all this time, I was in a relationship with someone who lived an hour away in nyc. He made 3x as much as me, and when he told me how much we'd be paying in rent if we cohabitated, I decided to leave my management position and move to nyc with him. I immediately got a job at a coworking space as an assistant manager where I developed skills like website content writing, grant writing, writing sponsorship proposals, venue management, and basic graphic design skills.
The coworking space closed because it was run by someone who had no experience in the field, and their lack of a clear vision or business skills kept our clientele to zero in my 4 months there. I was also their only employee and worked alone 8 hours a day making up things to do which is when I was able to teach myself such valuable skills.
I received a part-time and well-paid nanny/household manager position for a wealthy family in a HCOL area in NYC and I also work a couple extra days at a Cafe. Both jobs are awesome and I have great employers, but I'm so scared of where to go next. Ive been working at both places for a year and 3 months. I'm only working 29-35 hours a week, and I'm at a point where I want to start making some real money. I want to pay off the debt im in from living with such low pay for so long, and I want to be able to afford groceries again. My partner and I had our rent raised a lot, he has some personal expenses that bring us a lot lower, and we are barely scraping by even with his salary.
Does anyone know where I can go from here? I'm so lost. I used to see a career counselor but my insurance no longer covers it. I want to know what career trajectory I can try to take next with my skills. I don't see myself going back to social work and psychology-related jobs because of the high stress, low pay and constantly being taken advantage of by both my employers and clients. If anyone has experience with making a career change from the psychology field OR finding a well-paid job with a psychology bachelors, any advice is appreciated.
TLDR; graduated as a psych-major, left the field because of low pay and high stress, dabbled in coworking space management, now I'm a nanny and barista for the last year and three months and want to find a solid career trajectory to take so I can receive a livable income.

2023.05.31 17:44 xGumGumNinja NQ at small-mid law firm

Hi All,
Thanks for reading this in advance and sorry for the length of this.
Basically, my situation is that I am currently a trainee solicitor looking to qualify in 2024 February with a law firm based in St Albans and London that is small to mid (100 people in total (60-70 fee earners, 5 EPs, and like 20 salaried partners)).
My ultimate goal is to move to the UAE/KSA and continue to practice. At the minute it is looking like I will qualify in corporate and commercial and having already spent a year as trainee (6 months paralegal prior to TC) with them and will be going back to spend my final 6 months with them after dispute resolution. I have worked in that department for 2 partners (one EP, one salaried). Both of their work and personality is completely different. One is a machine and utterly disciplined and can be very rude and ruthless in terms of work (put it this way - no one has lasted in that department as a trainee/NQ or even at higher PQEs). The other is very nice to speak to very bubbly but equally as meticulous when it comes to work.
I have very much enjoyed my time there with them and am very surprised when they said they want me to come back and stay (nothing in writing obv). All in all, I would say I will have completed just shy of 20 transactions (maybe more by the time I go back) all ranging from £1m - £28m, all of them being MBOs, acquisitions, sales, refinancing, EOTs etc not to mention the smaller commercial agreements such as loan agreements, reviewing T&Cs etc. The work does not look like it is drying up any time soon either. The work is not stellar like your US law firms or MC firms but the work is varied and I have had incredible amounts of responsibility from the get-go. We do deal with MC firms/national firms most of the time but not all the time.
I feel like I have had good training and will continue to get it but the issue comes down to salary and my ultimate goal. Having spoken to a few recruiters, they basically said no one would look at you if you stay at your firm and you need more PQE in terms of your ultimate goal which is fair enough. I do not mind staying but they won't pay me enough for me to enjoy my life outside of work, especially with a young family. I am open to moving up north (Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool or Birmingham) to one of the international firms or even US law firms in London. However, I do not think I will get a sniff at either given the current market for NQs (not the time for me to apply anyway) but even in the future I do not think I would get a sniff at those firms due to where I have trained plus recruiters are another issue, they keep trying to move me to similar firms for similar pay but it is like the whole reason why I want to move is for a bigger pay packet given what I do and will do. I am not fussed with working hard and long hours.
I don't know if I should engage with recruiters as they seem to just look for their own benefit and I do not feel comfortable with disclosing my ultimate goal to them either hence why they may be pushing me to the same sort of firms.
Anyone willing to weigh in on this situation or someone who has been in the same situation where you probably are treated like a qualified lawyer at trainee level but if you decide to move you probably would not get a sniff because others who train at prestigious firms have probably had better training/quality of deals/simply the name on the CV?

2023.05.31 16:50 weejiemcweejer Company failed to action pension payments and are refusing to rectify

Last year I sent a form to HR asking to have additional pension payments taken from my salary so I could access the additional matching payments from my employer. HR acknowledged receipt of the form but then didn’t action it. I have the HR business partner admitting in writing that her team were asked to do this and didn’t action, but the company is refusing to backdate my request. I’m obviously annoyed as this has cost me money. Do I just have to accept this or is there an ombudsman or anything similar they could help?
Thanks in advance lovely redditors

2023.05.31 16:40 reddit04029 How should I approach this regarding offers

So today, I got an official JO from company A. Company B has also told me that nasa offer stage na ako.
Lemme set some details first.
Company A
Company B
About Me
As you can see, the 130k offer is very tempting, yun nga lang, it is night shift. I have until Monday (June 5) to decide. This is already an extension from the inital deadline of Friday (June 2).
I already messaged company B that I have an offer. They said na mga 1 week pa raw sila makakacome up with an official offer. But we will have a pre-job offer discussion tomorrow (whatever that is).
Personally, I wanna work for company B. It's more inline of what I want. I don't know if papatol sila sa 130k, or even sa 115k. If hindi sila papatol sa 115k, I will no longer consider it. Pero if papatol sila sa 130k, kahit matching lang, I will take it even if I will relocate.
With that, I wanted to ask for insights on how to approach this?
TLDR: Company 130k night shift offer, deadline on June 5 (monday). Company B, for offer, nothing official yet. Have already told them and will have a pre-offer discussion tomorrow since 1 week pa makakacome up ng offer.
PS. I am willing to take the 130k offer and stay for a bit just to help save money and of course have bigger base salary the next time I move.
PPS. Should I ask for a counter from my current company? I honestly don't have complaints with my current company. Purely monetary at this point pa at least yung reason for leaving.
EDIT: Added more details based on comments.

2023.05.31 15:49 LZ_OtHaFA bitcoin loan to fund a business, any tax hit to investor?

My business partner and I plan to start mining bitcoin in the U.S. as a U.S. corporation (S Corp). We have a mutual friend that has agreed to back us, but his assets are not liquid. He has agreed to loan us 15 bitcoin until we can pay him back in 5 years or sooner.
If we receive 15 btc to fund a business, we sell the btc for cash to build the business. Then once we are up and running and take newly made btc to pay back original investor. Are there any tax issues related to the sale of btc at any point to the investor?
Typically newly made btc is taxed as salary but this btc is being used to pay back investor so no tax hit, right? The only other taxable event I am aware of is short term or long term capital gains hit, but I do not see that here either. Am I missing anything?

2023.05.31 14:57 3dgemaster How do you deal with voluntarily disclosing being a parent during an interview?

Takes place in the EU, past 4 years.
I was an executive at a fintech startup that got to experience rapid hypergrowth. I ran my own department (product development) with 40-50 people and 5 teams. Once that was done, I started my own company with a few like-minded individuals. We built a solid product and I was able to cash out. Nothing outrageous, but enough to not have to worry about money for a while. I'm also a parent to a toddler, who is currently staying at home with both parents. I consider myself good at what I do. All this is to give a bit of context.
Recently I've started to look around a bit, to apply myself professionally. As it so happens, I was contacted by a startup in the EU who is doing very well, they are profitable with millions of customers. They're looking for someone to help them expand by creating new products from scratch- something I've experience with. It's a very risky, and at the same time, a very rewarding domain. To be fair, the person they are looking for is kind of niche- a seasoned product leader with entrepreneurial experience. The compensation reflected that, with the annual salary being in the 6 figures, plus equity.
So we held a number of interviews, all of which went well. The last interview was with the CEO. During the interview, the CEO talked to me as if it's already a done deal. I had mentioned previously that I used to work 60-70 hours a week, if not more, but I've been taking it easy lately because I have a child. They asked why would I want to do that again, work such insane hours. I wanted to be transparent, so I replied that I honestly don't. I'm a parent now and that is my top priority. I could see their demeanor change. We went back and forth a bit, I said how I can still be efficient even if I don't work 24/7, the CEO said the job is stressful and demanding. After a while we politely ended the interview. But I had a nagging feeling that I had just shot myself in the foot. Sure enough, a few days later I got a rejection letter, a very polite one, but still.
So now I'm reflecting on what's the lesson here. To not bring family into it at all? I could have given a different answer. I could have not mentioned being a parent and likely gotten an offer. But I wanted to manage expectations. It's entirely possible I would have pulled it off with ~50 hours a week. It's also possible I would have failed. From the CEO's perspective, business needs take precedence. I was a good fit culturally, I had both the experience and the skills. I've no doubt that ultimately the CEO decided what they thought was best for the company, as they should. I might have done the same. Trying to put myself in their shoes, if I had been given the job, the cost of my salary combined with the resources at my disposal would have been hundreds of thousands of euros over a few months. That's a risk. You mitigate risk by hiring someone you think can commit, as a CEO you probably have a pretty good idea when it comes to what is needed to do the job. Now, from my perspective, I didn't get to try. I'm left wondering. Maybe I'd have found the job so rewarding that working 70 hours a week for a while would have been fine. I'll never know.
My partner, while supportive, told me they probably would not have said what I said. In their mind, it's just shrewd negotiating. I'm inclined to agree. So the next time a question like this comes up, perhaps I should say something else, anything else. Or better yet, don't mention your family life at all, it's irrelevant, no matter how good of a rapport you think you have.
Those of you with demanding careers, have children and/or family life ever come up during an interview? How did you handle it? How did it go?

2023.05.31 12:25 mrbl4ckkk Server/Waiter making a major career transition - need advice

(questions I seek advice on are at the bottom)
Background
I am currently serving tables at a restaurant and I have decided I cannot wait any longer to get back into the professional world and make use of my talents and skills. It has been since about ten years since I any sort of heavily involved tech related business, although I have kept up on quite a few things, and expanded my marketing knowledge.
I have a B.A. From University of Miami in Entrepreneurship and have be designing, developing and marketing websites since age 14.. I have a tremendous amount of experience doing digital marketing (as well as web design /development. My last major tech business was starting a cyber security business selling Ipv4 addresses in 2010 , where I flew out to Texas and partnered with a highly skilled group of programmers, and a Texas business man and created the foundation unique technology for changing IPv4 addresses. It ended with me getting a contract with Time Warner Telecom but also falling extremely ill out of nowhere, which nearly ended my life and caused me to need and major transplant, and stopped me from signing the contract.
I am still to this day in pain frequently but have recently got a hold of my pain a lot more and I am now ready to get back to what I enjoy.

My skills and strongest abilities
I have been building websites since I was 14 years old. Using Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator etc. Once I made it to college I taught myself a lot about digital marketing, landing page design, design concepts, etc. I ended up doing affiliate marketing and doing very well for awhile doing this by automating the marketing process with scripts and software. I went to college for Entrepreneurship and marketing, and was taught well on how to start a business. I worked at the Miami-Dade county health dept in college helping to manage their database. I got a remote job immediately out of college in Manhattan, NY at an ad agency doing web graphic design for their different marketing efforts.
I am highly skilled at research, market segmentation, and creating original, creative and very effective ideas for many different type of scenarios, from marketing to product ideas. This is thanks to my intuition and understanding of the big picture of things.
I ended up very sick and in a lot of pain as I mentioned, specifically Chronic pancreatitis, and I am only now, half way through 2023, even close to the point I was back in 2009 before going to Texas (health wise). I have worked in restaurants as a server for several years, and it is extremely unsatisfying, stressful, and not profitable and I am ready to use my abilities rather then waste any more of my life at a restaurant.
I am currently (slowly) learning python, but not sure if there's a better skills for the type of job I would be best suited for that I could be learning.
I am 36 Yr old by the way.

The remote job I desire

2023.05.31 09:09 Kindly_Grapefruit725 Losing myself to a potential narc

Just looking for advice…
My situation is very blatantly a bad one but for some reason I’m struggling to break the cycle. Me and my partner have been together since we were 18 years old.
The relationship was great in the beginning, first 2 years in fact. I still lived with my family and as did he, we’d see eachother weekends and majority of week nights until I started living with him and his family more on a full time basis. We’re both from 2 different county’s so I almost had to rebuild myself a new life away from all I knew.
2 years ago we bought our home, an almost family heirloom from his side, all was still good until I was expected to do every single job under the sun. Including dinner every night, lunch for work, washing, ironing etc… you get the jist. If I don’t follow through these jobs I am branded as lazy and useless and told I “might as-well not be here”
Fast forward 3 year to now and it’s absolute living hell, we both live 2 completely separate lives with 2 completely different friendship groups and the only common ground is we live together. I work over full time in a physically demanding job and study a part time degree, yet I’m expected to play the house wife among all of this. I wouldn’t mind if I got some help but nope… I’m basically a single mother with a man child.
I’ve lost myself so much to the point I don’t even recognise myself anymore, can’t enjoy the finer things in life IE beauty treatments, holidays because I’m living week to week paying for a house that is more of a chore than anything. His salary is higher paid than mine but I’m still expected to meet in the middle.
We don’t spend anytime together or go for days out/ dinner anymore because he just simply doesn’t want to and his friends are a priority. I don’t want this life anymore but I just can’t break this comfortable rut that I’m stuck in. Seems easier to try maintain this “relationship” than to leave it.
Has anyone got any advice or experienced something similar.

The FF 91 2.0, the world’s first silicon-based new species
The first of its kind, the “All-Ability aiHypercar” FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance is a newly evolved silicon-based new species, which features incredible vehicle configurations and performance. Three motors with 1050hp; 1977Nm of electric motor output torque, largest in class; battery pack energy: 142kwh, the largest in class; EPA certified range: 381mi, the farthest in class.
The FF 91 has the “moat body structure” + “moat pack structure”, creating a side impact crumple zone. The "moat structures" are integrated with the aluminum body, providing the largest-in-class battery crumple zone. The “moat design” is intended to balance optimal occupant protection and high voltage battery protection as well as providing optimal packaging space for the vehicle design.
The FF 91 vehicle successfully passed the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) crash test requirements. FF has performed the highest severity crash tests and has passed all of these tests successfully, including front, side and rear crash tests.
FF 91 2.0 also boasts the longest interior space among ultra-luxury vehicles with a similar wheelbase + Zero-Gravity seat with the industry's largest recline angle of 60 degrees, bringing the comfort level of first class to land. With an acceleration time of just 2.27 seconds for 0-60 mph (96 km/h), the FF 91 2.0 takes the top spot in terms of acceleration-to-weight ratio of 0.78, surpassing traditional and electric vehicle competitors alike. With the next-generation technology architecture, the “FF aiHyper 6x4 Architecture 2.0,” powered by FF AI, the FF 91 2.0 has the capability to perceive user habits, engage in continuous learning and evolve, with the goal of surpassing users’ understanding of themselves. Through the “3rd aiSpace”, users can fully indulge in the unique convenience and enjoyment.
The FF 91 2.0 boasts dimensions of 5,250 x 2,283 x 1,598 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 3,200 mm. With its spacious interior, it sets a global benchmark for wheelbase-to-space ratio. In terms of exterior design, the FF 91 2.0 is truly space-age, with its innovative matrix-style LED headlights that span across the front and rear of the vehicle.
FF aiHypercar 6x4 Architecture 2.0: The next-generation technology driven by FF AI
During the event, Faraday Future also announced a fully upgraded next-generation technology architecture driven by FF AI -- "FF aiHyper 6x4 Architecture 2.0". “6x4” refers to the vertical integration and horizontal penetration of FF’s six technology platforms and four technology systems. The six technology platforms are “FF OpenApp”, “FF aiOS 2”, “FF aiHW 2.0”, “FF Mechanical”, “FF Cloud” and “FF AI”. The four technology systems are the “Magic All-In-One”, “Hyper Multi-Vectoring”, “3rd aiSpace”, and “FF aiDriving.”
At the system level, FF vertically integrated different platform modules in order to maximize performance and achieve hyper cross-platform integration. System technologies are empowered by platform technology, and user benefits are realized through AI integration.
Through the fusion of general AI + personalized AI + “1-on-1 Bespoke Private AI”, FF is delivering an elite mobility experience to the spire users. All-AI is the soul of “FF aiHyper 6x4 Architecture 2.0”. With AI algorithms + AI engines + and AI services, FF has designed end-to-end integration of AI capabilities, realizing All-AI integration with platforms and systems.
In addition, certain developers and third parties are invited to participate in R&D through an open technology platform, fostering co-creation of the technology architecture. For ultra-spire users, time is the ultimate luxury. FF believe aiHyper 6x4 Architecture 2.0 will be the next-gen technology architecture that addresses key pain points from the spire users of future mobility. The "All-Ability aiHypercar," built on this architecture, aims to provide users with 1 to 2 hours of increased time in their day for added value and efficiency. Our Ultimate AI TechLuxury is designed to offer spire users "26-hour days."
The “Magic All-In-One” System
The unique “Magic All-In-One” is an all-terrain AI vehicle body control technology system equipped with hyper agility and precision. Users can enjoy an optimized driving experience and personalize their mobility experience through 1 on 1 Bespoke body tuning. The vehicle offers All-in-one combination of the performance of a hypercar, the comfort and handling of a sedan, and the high ground clearance, visibility, and space of an SUV. One computing module integrates the comprehensive capabilities across cabin, driving, electric propulsion, body, and suspension.
Based on the preferences and needs of ultra-spire users, FF expects the “Magic All-in-One” technology system of FF 91 2.0 Futurist and FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance to offer two editions. The “Magic All-in-One” track edition emphasizes track performance tuning with all-terrain capability and includes a one-on-one professional track driving training session with a professional racing car driver. The "Magic All-in-One" balance edition emphasizes all-terrain balanced tuning for the three vehicle types: Hypercar, Sedan, and SUV with air suspension providing for a smoother ride. The Company plans to deliver the track edition first, followed by the balance edition. FF intends for users to take advantage of a one-time system exchange free of charge, allowing them to enjoy two distinct vehicle experiences tailored to their diverse driving needs.
The “Hyper Multi-Vectoring” System
The “Hyper Multi-Vectoring” (an integrated multi-axis torque vectoring AI system for propulsion, steering and braking) of FF 91 2.0 Futurist and FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance has a multi-axis design that intelligently adjusts the torque output of each wheel according to different driving conditions to achieve optimal drive force distribution and provide precise and agile handling performance.
The system intelligently adjusts torque output, allowing for a personalized AI-customized driving experience that delivers ultimate control and handling.
The large battery pack and multi-axis no-latency hyper power output not only provide an exciting experience for the driver, but also allow passengers to sit comfortably in the back and enjoy the thrill of the ride.
The integration of multi-axis vectoring and AI technology was designed to enable the FF 91 2.0 Futurist to keep excellent ride control and safety in different hyper modes, even in emergency situations. Additionally, users can opt for and "1 on 1 Bespoke Private AI and Tuning" package to further enhance their ultimate driving and handling experience.
The “3rd aiSpace” System
FF 91 2.0 is equipped with 3 modems, an industry-first. The Super AP 5G x 3 supports three carriers, delivering triple speed and triple coverage with minimal latency. In the US, it supports AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile so even if two carriers are down, you may still rely on the third one for service.
In the future, FF plans to launch an option for a high-speed internet satellite communications suite. Additionally, the vehicle has the world's fastest in-car network speed: 10G Ethernet and the world's largest in-car display capability with OLED technology and 11+ displays.
FF 91 2.0 creates a mobility work scenario by moving the meeting room and live broadcast studio to the car and delivering the ultimate AI mobility lifestyle. Integration of FF ID and web3 wallet delivers personalization for each seat. FF Generative AI enables an intelligent in-car experience, removing the need for a phone in the car. Smartwatch remote control feature provides a convenient experience for spire users.
The “FF aiDriving” System
The intelligent driving technology system of FF 91 features a fusion of 3 types of AI that creates intelligent assisted driving. FF has heavily invested in the customization of AI. The unique fusion of general AI + personalized AI + “1 on 1 Bespoke Private AI” delivers for the spire users the aiDriving (driver-assistance system) that aims to know you better than you know yourself.
The Company is dedicated to delivering technology and product iterations and upgrades to our spire users through OTA. We plan to host a “FF Developers Co-creation AI Festival” at the 919 event, held on September 19th, where we expect to announce the FFAI strategy execution status and technology innovations. We invite certain futurists to participate in the FF Developers Co-Creation Program, driving the ongoing upgrade and evolution of the mobility industry for our spire users.
FF "All-Ability aiHypercar": Redefining the new category and standard of intelligent spire EV
The “All-Ability aiHypercar” defines the new category and core standard of intelligent spire EV. “Hypercars" have been widely known as those with over 1,000 horsepower and million-dollar price tags, representing the top 1% in both performance and price. FF believes future hypercars will redefine the criteria from two perspectives, the traditional mechanical hyper and silicon-based hyper.
FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance is limited to 300 units and the price is a MSRP of $309,000 US dollars. Online pre-sale is fully open.
The FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance offers additional privileges and benefits compared to the FF 91 2.0 Futurist. It provides signature customization including the option for Founder Signature Edition, “1-on-1 bespoke private AI and special tuning”. It will be available in three Alliance colors of bright silver and matte silver, matte black, as well as an exclusive wheel design.
All FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance users will also receive exclusive professional track-time training, and an Apple Watch with FF vehicle control feature. The first ninety one Alliance users will receive a high-speed Internet satellite communications suite (free upgrades and installation expected to be provided when available).
In addition, the FF mobility ecosystem product, “FF aiHypercar+,” has an annual subscription price of $14,900. This exclusive pricing offer is limited to the first 2,000 users in the US and China markets. Through the support of Web 3.0 technology, FF has designed a system separating software and hardware, aiming to allow car users to truly own the software as an asset for the first time. Consumer owned software would be a breakthrough in the automotive industry and even the consumer electronics industry.
We are now accepting full payment for the FF 91 2.0 Futurist Alliance to preorder the vehicle and be trained in the use of the vehicle. We have also re-opened vehicle pre-ordering. New users in the US can secure a spot on the Alliance edition waitlist by placing a $5,000 deposit, while those in China can place a 50,000 RMB deposit.
2023.05.31 07:34 furryrubber Is it a bad idea to buy a second home?

My partner and I currently live in a two bedroom flat which we own (monthly mortgage payments currently £500pcm). We had a baby last year and are looking for a house with an extra bedroom. However, we love our flat - we've lived here for 10 years and really don't want to sell it, but space has gotten too tight recently to continue living here.
Is it a big financial mistake to buy a second home and lease our flat out? We have been approved for a mortgage for £250k and have a deposit of £80k, however we are looking for a home in the £150-220 range. We live in Scotland so would need to pay 6% tax on any additional property we buy. Our combined monthly salaries are approximately £3500 a month.
I don't really know anyone financially savvy to ask if this would be a good idea or not. We would be looking to keep the flat long term as a potential income source following retirement.
Sorry if I've missed out any relevant information, please let me know in the comments.

2023.05.31 06:45 leftyrari How many hours a day do you actually work?

How do we all balance work and parenthood?
If you are a salaried full-time employee (assuming an expected 40 hour work week), how many hours a day/ week would you say you actually work?
Relevant info that would be interesting to include: -are you working from home or in an office (and how long is commute if so)? -do you have a partner who works or stays home? -how old are your kids? Has the answer to this question changed depending on their age(s)? -are your work hours considered “billable”?

2023.05.31 06:31 FatBellyMatKelly What is the point?

36 day streak right now and 28m. Started doing this to get off porn and trying to get a girlfriend for once in my life.
I go to the gym, make a good salary as a senior software developer, own a condo, and make video games on the side. However I am 5 foot 6. So I feel like I experienced 0 attraction from the opposite sex. I thought SR was working however, right now I feel like i was completely deluded into thinking I have any chance of finding a partner in a western country due my height.
I’m starting to groom more than I usually would. But I feel like it’s a waste of time. I see all these stories of women messaging you guys out of the blue when on SR. How come this never happens to me? Is there a point to the game. Or is the deck I’m playing with rigged to lose. What do you guys recommend?

2023.05.31 05:34 Tasty-Nobody-2542 I live in a city where buying a home is nearly an impossible goal: what should I save for instead?

I am in my early 30s, and am a pretty diligent saver considering I've only been making a decent salary for the last 3 or 4 years. I have a decent amount saved (a large enough emergency fund for a few months of expenses in case I get let go, a TFSA, an RRSP, and recently, I started a job with a pension fund which has been great). My partner and I travel a moderate amount, while still saving what we can.
For a while, my savings goal was eventually buying a home in Toronto (likely a condo), but recently that has seemed less and less likely (mortgage rates, cost of property in general, etc.) so my partner and I are reconsidering, and are likely looking at renting for the foreseeable future (which we're ok with, given our financial circumstances and the market in general - we don't want to leave the city) We are hoping to have a child in the next 12 months or so, which we are prepared for financially as of right now (for the first year, assuming I take a full 12 months of maternity leave).
Assuming I can put away about $2k a month (with an additional $1k put towards my pension directly off my paycheque), what should I be doing with my money now, if not saving for a home? We are definitely enjoying our lives but I also feel like I'm saving with no purpose right now. When we do have a child we can contribute to an RESP but what should I do with the rest? Keep investing in a TFSA forever? What do people do when property ownership is off the table? We aren't planning for a wedding or anything similar, so just kind of at a loss in terms of goals.
