Listen, I know I am being a huge nerd, but it's the truth. We live in the south (compared to most other hockey fanbases not necessarily franchises). We literally have GOLDEN in our name, our front office makes moves/deals/signings that other teams look at and think "oh shit we should've done that" and we are hated because we are rich in talent. We literally have a player whose name is close to a character in GOT (Adin Hill-the Mountain). Our best player, Echelon, looks like a fuckkng Lannister with the blond hair and beard.
The rest of the NHL hates us because we got good so quickly even though article after article would say we were going to suck. The front office has made some downright puzzling moves but it always seems like they are playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers.
I can keep listing all the reasons but here's the deal. We are the deepest and frankly, most talented team left. And, from someone who has watched hockey for 30 years but never really had a team until I moved here in 2017, we are on the cusp for a reason and I couldn't be happier to be a Golden Knights fanatic.
If this is just way out in left field...then I'll take it down. But I just see the similarities and laugh. They are the hated family in GOT, but they are fucking powerful and so are we. And I love it

My views on relationships :

Loving is different from being in a relationship. And being in a relationship is not always being in love.
It's possible that 2 people love each other deeply, but aren't in a relationship for reasons such as incompatibility , feasibility. The inverse is also possible, that 2 people enter into a relationship , out of sheer convenience, co-incidence, circumstances or compatibility but are not actually in love.
Love is acceptance, when we accept the person with all his flaws for who he is , and when we in turn are confident that we'd be accepted and loved too and hence don't have to adopt a fake appearance or try to show us as someone we are not, to get acceptance. But it also involves us putting a serious effort to fix our shortcomings and improve ourselves so that we become even more suitable for our partner. We consider ourselves as a 'present' we are giving to our partner and want to give them the best version of ourselves.
Also love is when we care about others as much as ourselves and do everything possible, making self-sacrifices to prevent them from getting hurt even if it affects/compromises our own interests.

Hello, people of Reddit. I know the work week can be stressful, tiring, and unpredictable. We all need to unwind at some point, and there's no better time than perhaps a couple of hours before we call it a night. Well, maybe. I'm no expert.
Anywho, about me:
33 going on 50, given how our country is being run, how creatives are constantly shafted in the freelance industry, and how the onset of backpain decided to dial it down a few decades, I've basically become a rolling cadaver (ergo chair, GO!).
I'm both a content writer and voice talent delving deep into the bowels of geek and pop culture. Whether it's anime, video games, mainstream music, or the HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY banana cat memes, best believe I got you. In terms of my voice acting body of work, please curb your expectations. I usually get hired to do weird characters in telco and coffee advertisements--or gay werewolves in audio books. I'm less Morgan Freeman, and more Hank Azaria.

Before I start, I will basically explain that I'm not against an evil Chloé.

I mean, I know that she could have a better characterization, arc and stuff but If the writers wants to make her an antagonist, it's fine. I mean, antagonists can be interesting and not everyone have to have a redemption arc.

Now, maybe Chloe "evil arc" could be written a little bit better and maybe Thomas could try to make her an interesting villain instead of a kind of spoiled dictator but that is not the point of today's topic.

My point is (I watched Collusion today) :

Why is André having a redemption arc ?

Because that's the route they're taking... Chloe is Satan, okay but her dad can be redeemed... I mean, isn't he responsible for his daughter education?

Who are the responsibles when underage kids do trouble? Who is supposed to teach his kids the good and bad behaviors, you know parent stuff, right?

Why in a kid show, we have a parent disowning their own child that they educated, saying that their kid is evil and then adopting a new one?

Plus it's not like André is an angel, because you see, the man has many problems :

He fired Sabrina's dad in S1 and he didn't even needed Chloe for his evil actions.
Apparently, to win the election, he has dig dirt on his opponents, in one episode, Chloe is mentioning it and says that she is imitating her dad when it's comes to use people's secrets against them. Evil daughter but she got some of her manners from her dad...
He fired people because of his daughter with absolutely not real reason... He just gave up to the whims of his daughter. And he didn't really feel sorry for the people he hurt.
He can't stand up for himself, he lets his wife be toxic with him, he lets Chloe dominates him... And this man has a position of power which is kinda scary.
He told Zoe to gave up on her dreams in Pirkell...

And now, best of all, this man is going to "disown his daughter" because she's evil and then adopt Zoe who is nicer and better... Wow, and we are supposed to applause him? Are we supposed to say, Congrats André! You're such a good man! You're a very kind soul!!

Seriously, what is that writing? Did the show decided to forget about all the awful actions that André did and put all the blame on Chloé?? Did the show writers forget that André is the adult and that Chloé is the child? Did they forget about "Parenting" ? And how parenting generally works?

Because that's one thing to portrait Chloé as Satan when she is a 14 years old spoiled kid but portraying the father of the horrible kid as a saint is clearly not appreciated. André shouldn't have a redemption arc and if he even have one, then it's should be him taking care of his daughter and corrects her education, not just flying away and adopting another kid...

Or he should stay evil but here, this character doesn't work... You can't make him look like a good guy when he is the responsible of that situation and when he is an adult who failed at educating his child properly... He is the one to blame for that. Sure Audrey is also responsible for the situation but André is an adult!! An adult !! He can stand up for himself!

We are not going to excuse a stupid parent who can't grow a spine and who can't be responsible...

You have that one example with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, you remember about that spoiled brat, Veruca Salt, right ? In the end of the movie, her and her dad get covered in trash and the dad is finally realizing his mistakes and stops listening to his daughters whims. Yep, no squirrels for you, young girl.

It's was a great moral. Because the father also deserved the punishment for being too lenient with his daughter.

But here, in 2023 (because Charlie's movie was in 2005) so 18 years after, we have a kid's series, where the moral is : Only the daughter should be punished and not the dad because you know, he doesn't suck entirely...

Wow, what a progress... Look at the progress guys, from 2005 to 2023... Here we are...

We went from "If your daughter is evil, then it's your fault and you should start questioning your education methods" to "If your daughter is evil, then just disowns her and adopt a new one that is kind and that's way, you'll be on the good side".

After everything André has done, he is going to walk out like nothing happened and restart his life with Zoe... Let's be honest, this man should be in a prison cell...

Giving him a redemption arc is disgusting... What does this guy have done to deserve a redemption arc ? He is the worst parent ever, I mean at this point, only Gabe and Tomoe can compete with him for worst parents of the year. He abused his powers and Mr Damocles is still fired after the episode, so not everything is reversed to before.

I now have access to both Knowlan and Monika and was heading to the next main quest location -- and I'm getting severely beat up (or defeated) by Rushlands overworld encounters on the way. When I get to the dungeon entrance, even the Normal difficulty selection indicates that the dungeon will be Very Hard.
I assume that I'm underleveled (all my characters are in the 12-13 range). I've only seen a couple of side quests -- I did the spiders in the sewer, but the slime boss crushes me. I'm too powerful in most areas to gain XP. What's the best way to progress here?

Hello fellow deviants. I am female, well over 25, and long-time roleplayer and writer. I am seeking a long-term, highly detailed, novella-style writer to partner with who is also an adult capable of acting like one. I go way, way back into the old school days of RP (and even have a character or two that old), and what I'm most interested lives in that realm of mooning over character-driven angst and adventure. I do not have a specific story in mind because I'm somewhat burnt on pitching, but I'd love to build something together. A few things I really like include: - Action, adventure, thrills, horror - something, anything for characters to do besides flirt with each other. A like a story with plenty of twists and turns to keep things interesting. These elements do not need to be fantastical, but they can be.
- Character development that moves with the plot. Meaning the plot and growth are tied together and the stakes feel real and emotional. First meets go with that and are strongly preferred for the sake of organic development (and my own sanity since I don't read minds.)
- The spookies! I like horror as well as grit. Sunshine is not for me, though romance is just fine when it burns slowly. Sci-fi is also great, or magical realism that bends what we think is reality through the looking glass.
- I'm female and prefer a male/female romantic dynamic (if there is to be one at all.) There will be no "seeing how things go" in so far as consent. Want to know something? Ask me. Let's make sure we are on the same page, even if we let characters get there "naturally."
- For me, the best is when characters are not jaded by overexposure to wacky elements, but get to experience the unexpected the way you or I might, but better. Hard sci-fi might be a little much, but realistic people exploring a secret underground lab? Yes, maybe. I don't want a world populated by furries, but a character revealed to be a werewolf? Neat. That kind of thing. Don't take the fun out of it by making it mundane.
- Going light on the "world-building." To me, this term always translates to mean someone has a super complicated, Tolkien-esque fantasy realm they've envisioned complete with separate fantasy races and languages, and they somehow expect me to just slot into that with no knowledge myself, or else conduct a research project to write. This is not for me.
- Length and quality, not one or the other. Rambling on and on about details that don't matter and separated only be ellipses is never going to be as good as a brief, brilliantly written, and moving thousand words. I hover mostly in the 500-1000 or so range, but may go a little shorter in quick dialog or a lot longer at points where a new element or location is introduced.
- ENTHUSIASM. Partners that are into gathering face claims, making playlists, plotting to absolute death as well as coming up with fun surprises or side stories. Don't tell me my character construct is "fine" - tell me you are crazy hot for the idea. Don't tell me you have no preferences when you definitely do. Share so we can get into this together.
- Being interested - even excited by - the prospect of writing multiple stories. One of our long-standing ones is feeling a little stale or we are getting blocked? Let's try something different for a while! Or have a few various stories for different moods. Some ideas just aren't made for the long term and that is fine as long as my partner is.
- My time and availability vary, but I've got some right now and would love it if my potential partner can dedicate some time to at least the initial few scenes. From there, if we sometimes only have time for a few posts a week, that's just life. Mine gets busy too. I will trust that the pendulum swings the other way sometimes as well and we will also have days with lots of writing.
- Be down to plot! Of course, we will exchange writing samples, build a server, and make it all pretty once we agree.
- Partners who get it. I like to think I am a pretty decent writer myself without too many complaints. I want a partner who doesn't sweat anything listed above or tell me it is out of their comfort zone, but says, omg, yes, this is me too! Let's write all the things! I need and want someone on my level - and by that, I do not just mean who can keep up with my style or quality.

- The spookies! I like horror as well as grit. Sunshine is not for me, though romance is just fine when it burns slowly. Sci-fi is also great, or magical realism that bends what we think is reality through the looking glass.
- I'm female and prefer a male/female romantic dynamic (if there is to be one at all.) There will be no "seeing how things go" in so far as consent. Want to know something? Ask me. Let's make sure we are on the same page, even if we let characters get there "naturally."
- For me, the best is when characters are not jaded by overexposure to wacky elements, but get to experience the unexpected the way you or I might, but better. Hard sci-fi might be a little much, but realistic people exploring a secret underground lab? Yes, maybe. I don't want a world populated by furries, but a character revealed to be a werewolf? Neat. That kind of thing. Don't take the fun out of it by making it mundane.
- Going light on the "world-building." To me, this term always translates to mean someone has a super complicated, Tolkien-esque fantasy realm they've envisioned complete with separate fantasy races and languages, and they somehow expect me to just slot into that with no knowledge myself, or else conduct a research project to write. This is not for me.
- Length and quality, not one or the other. Rambling on and on about details that don't matter and separated only be ellipses is never going to be as good as a brief, brilliantly written, and moving thousand words. I hover mostly in the 500-1000 or so range, but may go a little shorter in quick dialog or a lot longer at points where a new element or location is introduced.
- ENTHUSIASM. Partners that are into gathering face claims, making playlists, plotting to absolute death as well as coming up with fun surprises or side stories. Don't tell me my character construct is "fine" - tell me you are crazy hot for the idea. Don't tell me you have no preferences when you definitely do. Share so we can get into this together.
- Being interested - even excited by - the prospect of writing multiple stories. One of our long-standing ones is feeling a little stale or we are getting blocked? Let's try something different for a while! Or have a few various stories for different moods. Some ideas just aren't made for the long term and that is fine as long as my partner is.
- My time and availability vary, but I've got some right now and would love it if my potential partner can dedicate some time to at least the initial few scenes. From there, if we sometimes only have time for a few posts a week, that's just life. Mine gets busy too. I will trust that the pendulum swings the other way sometimes as well and we will also have days with lots of writing.
- Be down to plot! Of course, we will exchange writing samples, build a server, and make it all pretty once we agree.

After reading a recent post from u/chihayadayo , I was reminded of how diverse our WT opinions are (theories, favorite arcs, fav characters, least fav characters, best squads etc.) because we all clearly love this shounen.
So, for those who have them, what is your World Trigger 'hot take(s)' or unpopular opinion(s) and why? It can be related to anything about the show or manga. Examples can include talking about a character that is generally hated, but you secretly like (or vice versa); an unpopular theory you have about the show etc.
Anything WT related is allowed, but pretty please try to tag any manga spoilers for anime-only ppl. Also, pls don't downvote unpopular opinions just bc you don't like them--upvote the ones you agree with and explain your hot takes. I am super curious--who knows, maybe we will find some closeted Taichi lovers out there ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My unpopular opinion:
After hating him for a long time, I have started to kinda like Ninomiya as a character--I can't help but think that he's honestly just lacking in interpersonal skills. Initially, he was hard to like because he's blunt to a fault and seems stuck up, but his rude remarks and jerk behavior don't feel purposefully malicious or spiteful. IMO, he is probably just either bad at or uncomfortable engaging in the normal behaviors that most people do for 'social grease,' which is something I think we can all probably relate to in some small way (if not in the past, we most likely will in the future).
Some of his key good points: I appreciate that he holds himself to a high standard, and it seems like he is a good leader for his own personal squad. He definitely serves as a strong rival for Osamu in the anime so far, and without Ninomiya's squad to push them, I don't know whether Tamakoma 2 would have grown so much in such a short time period.
Overall, I do agree that he is jerk and unpleasant to interact with, but I think he is pretty 'what you see is what you get,' and lately I've been feeling kinda partial towards the honest a**hole type.
