My journey and complications are a long story. In short, my Foley catheter came out of me twice post op, requiring me to go under again twice to put it back in. Not to mention fellows trying to put it back in while I was awake beforehand. My original urologist and surgeon got charged with sexual assault in New York, (pretty sure he’s going to prison), my plastic surgeon was very inexperienced and always seeming over confident and then under confident, and the new urologist he’s working with “doesn’t really know how to help me” cause he also lacks experience with trans surgeries (meta personally for me). Yay
Basically I have a slight stricture. I can pee mostly fine but sometimes it hurts a little and it also makes it easier for bacteria to colonize and get stuck in my urethra (uti). I need the urethral stricture fixed to fix all this, but as you read, my urologists aren’t helpful.
Another issue is I’m moving out of New York, to Florida (family lives there and I’m pretty broke from living in Brooklyn) but not going to get into that. No, I’m not worried about desantis. I’ve talked to blue cross of Florida and they will continue to cover gender care and surgeries. I currently have HealthFirst Medicaid of NY.
Anyway I’ve consulted with chen and have a consult with santucci next week, but after three doctors telling me I have to get this stricture fixed asap I’m stressing out. I don’t have the funds to go to Texas or california for a month, so ASAP sounds unreasonable with those surgeons. I started looking into Dr. Nikolavsky who my plastic surgeon recommended and I’ve seen some recommendations on Reddit. Has anyone gone to him for UL revision and is pleased?
Staying upstate also sounds pricey, so if anyone knows some place I could stay, that would be helpful, since even Airbnb is looking steep for me. That’s if I can even go to him, but yeah.
Just feeling really deflated. I also need a scrotoplasty revision and eventually implants (I wanted vy and got some weird hybrid that is not bifid but not fused vy). Not sure niko does that but my main thing right now is the UL repair, even though this will mean even more surgeries. That’s why I’d prefer to get the UL repair and scrotoplasty revision at the same time, so then I only have one more surgery of implants after that. I’ve already gone through two surgeries related to bottom, not including hysto.
I’m scared of Niko because I’ve read of him not having a lot of experience and I already have issues with inexperienced doctors and trauma from that, so I’m looking for someone who knows what they’re doing and who won’t feed me BS

Background;
Basically leaving out as much of the sob story as possible since Im sure a lot of you hear it all the time, My moms sister left a very abusive relationship a few years ago and finally started her new life. She moved up north to be with her daughter while shes in college and we stayed with her son who went to college here. A few months in she had a Brain aneurysm and we thought she was dead as they found her on the floor in a coma. After waking up from the coma they were able to get her going again but she was abused by 2 nurses while recovering, they had to remove part of her skull and did not store it properly so it rotted and they had to dispose of it, she lost a lot of brain function and motor skills, they found more aneurysms besides the ones removed.
Currently;
We're basically lost on where to go and what to do in terms of how we can get her medicine, physical therapy, Dr appointments covered. Last time I combined my savings with my mom to pay $8k for medicines etc that she needed and now were both broke. She was still married to the POS so we were able to move forward with divorce paperwork since we have power of attorney and she's coherent enough and we did so because they were trying to deny her something like medicare or social security because she had a husband. No one told us this until recently on why she didn't qualify so that info would have been great to know sooner so that we could have been further along in the process, and believe me we have been on the phone with different offices and everyone hears our story says their gonna help and then nothing really moves forward they never call us back. Very rarely we get someone who is a blessing and their like okay go here fill this out and then do this etc and that should get you going but theres so many tricks and loop holes that we dont know about yet and since were both working full time jobs to support my aunt at this point we kind of dont have the time.
Sorry if this sounds like a rant but im on break and just frustrated with how hard getting care is. Im glad my Aunt is here, I thought her waking up would be the hardest part but by far its the after care trying to figure this all out that has been the worst.

Issues;
After she was awake everyone at the hospital basically stopped caring and this is where the nurse incident occured (one dropped her even after my family asked if they could help her move her, the other was forcefully moving her arms and body to shove a special therapy device on her and strap it on.) when this was reported to another nurse and Dr the rest of the hospital started treating the family very coldly and the new nurse said "oh your one of our problematic ones that gets people in trouble huh?" My family is not the type to sue ir pursue anything from anyone so they took it and left.
Getting medical records transfered to other offices was a nightmare as some offices never answered the phone or said they cant do it or even asked us why we wanted to in the first place etc. Dr's who were previously seeing her for a while stopped answering the phone and making appointments.
We were told she would never walk again etc and to basically give up but my mom kept fighting and finding people who would help even if it was briefly as issues with the insurance would end up getting in the way, (a office would say they accept the insurance and then a few weeks later the policy changes and they dont). We were able to get my aunt to walk and use most of her arms which is a big win and FU to those who wanted us to give up.
without going into too much detail you can understand our frustration with the run around we have been given such as, We have been making phone calls to different companies and emails with the social security office etc but every person we talk to contradicts the previous person or theres no follow up or explanation on what to do next. One person says we need a specific form and they either send it to us and dont tell us where to send it to after its filled, the form never leads to anything, or were never told about any form at all until several phone calls later where someone that actually cares tells us theres more steps. Social security hasnt paid us a dime and we keep getting stuck at every turn, now that we are in process to get social security medicare they wont give her medicaid anymore (something where they basically said we cant qualify for the only thing we were able to get her since were applying for something else) Dr's are refusing to see her at all due to insurance issues or just that their offices are never calling us back.

I think something needs to be clarified...
Jamie has had ZERO to do with anything that has occurred. PERIOD. And, going after her, or Margaret, or anyone else is simply wrong.
The entire issue began as a result of ODA being contacted about the potential of a visitors permit to Ohio for family needs. From there, ODA did their work, and nothing more.
No one made a claim of a dangerous animal in anyway. In Ohio, according to state laws, banned animals are classifed as DWA, Dangerous Wild Animals. No one spoke of that.
ODA has been watching all of the videos and info since the date they were contacted for the visitors permit.
In Ohio you can get a permit for DWA, however, you cannot get that permit if the animals are in possession prior to issuance. You also are allowed to visit in state for 48 hours, but only if your primary residence is located outside of the state of Ohio, and according to Ohio ordinance that out of state residence must be where your drivers license and taxes are filed. All of this can be verified by simply speaking to any representative at ODA. The only other exception for such animals if for deaf and blind individuals whoo's animals have come from one of a couple of chosen organizations approved by ODA. These are the laws.
Ohio sets the temperature for all of the exotics world, thanks to Jack Hannah, Zanesville and multiple other issues over the years.
Lots of facts are being skewed and misrepresented. There are 47 minutes of unseen footage from that day. Mike King and the other officers present on that day can be reached for verification. However, a report to be obtained by FOIA cannot be completed until the case is closed. That will not occur until the ordinances and laws are in compliance for the parties involved. However, with other misrepresented facts, you can FOIA the report on Eric, aka RICO, and find the facts, which do not match the stories being told. It is easy when emotions are high to jump on a band wagon. I have made it very clear to ODA and the officers, while my name has long been on the list of approved out of state options for primates, I have zero interest in these animals. I do not need or want anyone else's animals. The same was true with Rico. I housed Mike, his vervet, for 3 months until he was able to satisfy the requirements of ODA, during which time I was accountable and in constant contact with ODA to meet their requirements for temporary care. Including working direct with the Tennessee Dept of Ag and USFW for documentation and veterinary care. reported direct to Dr. Alex McCourt during that time, as well as Jason King, the head of Enforcement in Ohio.
All of this can be verified by simply speaking to ODA, and requested a FOIA of Rico. I was also always in contact with ODA during the messy interactions and duration of attempting to help Union Ridge.
In my 3 interactions in Ohio, the only success was helping Rico. Union Ridge was a mess, and Jason King warned me prior to my involvement to stay away. Because I am one to rescue and help no matter what and I saw some potential in the situation, I forged ahead, a mistake that was hard to handle in my reputation and work.
My greatest mistake is always helping no matter the cost. For those picking at SPARTN, the work we have done is as a support to multiple individuals, facilities and more. Those did include Union Ridge and Rico. They have included the Wildlife Way Station, Christina's work in Ecuador, multiple ongoing projects in Texas and Florida. All of the information regarding SPARTN and the audited financials are available upon request from the 990's at the IRS.

When it comes to the governance of Monkeys, it is State to State and County to County. USDA only regulates the care, breeding and exhibition of the animals in places where the local laws allow and support. The ALDF and PETA are leading the charge to close down more and more of these freedoms. ALDF is the pressure behind USDA to regulate social media, and USDA and USFW, along with state agencies, have entire groups who monitor social media. When they identify individuals who they believe are in violation they track and contact those individuals using the GPS/Geotagging data available in content posted online. In May of 2022, I was contacted directly by the USDA, the were able to find my info and sent a registered letter to notify me that I must come into compliance. The same happened with Rico and many others who have a presence online. This is going to increase.
Attacking and being cruel to those who are my friends is a cheap, low brow display of character. I would ask that any and all of you please step away from any criticism of Jamie, Margaret, BossMom and any others whom I consider friends. If you choose to be upset with me, then have your go, but the others have had literally nothing to do with any of the things to which you have complained. So, be human beings with the amount of charity and compassion you claim I am missing, and offer that to my friends....

I do not have a single issue with folks who are fat. I have a deep issue with building this culture to celebrate being obese as a beautiful standard... Because it is dangerous and deadly for many. I can't stand that. I cannot stand the Transexual mania cult, the kind that fights to mutilate kids for "affirming care"... Kids, and even those in their early 20's barely have the ability to understand being sterilized and having their bodies changed by surgery and hormones. Hi all, I am under medical care so I am NOT looking for medical advice just curious to hear if others have had similar struggles and/or have some advice on how to not throw in the towel on finding a good fit with meds and persevere through all the trials ... please excuse my very ADHD-like long winded explanation and roller-coaster of a post, I have bolded my questions if you just want to skip to those :)
Background: I have suffered from depression and anxiety since I can remember, began pharmaceutical and therapeutic treatment for both at 18, been on and off meds, found a decent fit of Pristiq(50mg in AM) and Buspar(15 AM / 15PM) that I have been consistently on for three years, gave up drinking 500+ days ago, realized I was using it for unhealthy coping(highly recommend the book: Not Drinking Tonight By Amanda White).
Since my sobriety I have hit many challenges that others did not seem to be facing; I work exclusively with students with various disabilities, the vast majority with an ADHD diagnosis, have been for 10+ years. I saw similarities in myself but never really looked into it until recently.
I had a neuro-psych. eval done (age 36-female) and clearly met diagnostic criteria for ADHD. Of course, I went down a rabbit-hole of reddit, instagram and the usual internet search and WOW, HELLLLLO! DUH! OF COURSE, I HAVE ADHD, anywho... that part felt good, great actually having a reason/name for so many of my not-so-neurotypical behaviors but now I am utterly frustrated and pretty devastated ( I know, I know, my lack of patience and extreme emotional responses is in fact part of my ADHD)..
Issue/Question: I have tried Ritalin, went up to the max dose with no effect except for being tired; I then tried Adderall, low does made me sleepy and highemax dose saw no improvement or as well; I am now trying Dextroamphetamine started at 10mg and will begin the increase as per doctor's instruction... I could be being a pessimist (I read there are a percentage of individuals with ADHD who medications do not work for...) or could be expecting more than I should (I read so many stories of ah-ha moments and "it's like wearing glasses for the first time" when people tried meds for first time after adult diagnosis) ... I don't feel any different, I don't think? For someone who has had success with medication how did you know when it was "working"?
I am keeping a log of symptoms/side effects and using scales to measure multiple areas (there's an awesome app for that BTW-Bearable) but I am not seeing a real effect... (I am not asking for a full-proof answemedical advice just more some feedback on personal experiences)
Any one out there one of those people ADHD meds just don't work for?
Is there anyone on here that tried multiple and finally found one that did work??
Anyone on here that take multiple types and that works for you, if so how did you and your Dr figure that out?
P.S. I am doing all of this under a licensed Psychiatrist that specializes in adult ADHD treatment; he is hopeful we will find one, or a combination of something but... I am feeling a bit hopeless, I even asked if he thought maybe it wasn't ADHD to which he said, again, based on all the data/tests/multiple observations... you have ADHD, there may be other underlying things but you have ADHD... I am in therapy(going on 5 years but started a new one now that I am out in CA) and am actively working on myself/mindset/healing past trauma, as well as improving my EF skills and other ADHD related pieces but AH! My ADHD craves an instant easy quick fix and I need some support in keeping optimistic :-P
More information: I did have the Genesight psychotropic DNA test done(the test suggest best meds based on possible gene interactions)- I know that this is not the most valid test and may possibly not provide any real information but it was spot on regarding my depression meds (meds that did not work/had severe symptoms with, etc. and pointed to the two anti-dep/anti-anx meds that have been most effective; it also did say that Ritalin would not be effective as well... it did however have Adderall and Dex. in the green-use as directed category but I am not seeing much progress/reduction in symptoms).
I have tried the stimulants with food/without, steered clear of vitamin c and other acidic foods...staying super hydrated... been getting good sleep and eating right to try and combat any extraneous variables.... super low screen time (minus this novel I am writing here)...
My most challenging symptoms are :

chatter-box of a brain/intrusive thoughts (just tried to get a massage, holy crap my brain does not shut up-worst experience ever!; I am thinking 100 things at once and don't think I have ever finished a thought and then ended the thought to start a new one in my life, other than maybe when I was drinking quite a bit of alcohol and it was the only time my mind was quiet),
low working memory (I can't remember students names after an entire year! or people's names after JUST meeting them, despite using my tricks),
forgetfulness (I play the fifteen minute hide and seek game with my glasses, keys, phone etc several times a day),
irritability (maybe I am just a super cranky human and I just need to keep working on that in therapy),
no word recall (what was that word again!?),
SUPER LOW motivation (I finally did laundry after 3 months because I legitimately had created a small hill that made it impossible to maneuver around the bed....but have not put it away... getting out of bed in the morning, my snoozing is sooooo excessive)

I think those are the symptoms that interfere most with my day to day but maybe there are more and/or maybe these are not ADHD related and/or are ADHD + depression/anxiety/just moved to California in August this year after 35 years in the same place in Miami, Florida..
Any thoughts, encouragement, non-medical advice, personal experiences are so appreciated!

Florida Gov. I recently started with a new provider after Dr Smiths office closed. Was using RDTs from Precision pharmacy but the new provider uses CRE8 pharmacy out of Florida. I feel like the CRE8 torches I have been using are literally like a fraction of the strength of the same mg medication I was getting from Precision. Several times with the new medication I felt very little effects, definitely not the same strength. Wanted to see if anyone else had a similar experience.

just went to a new doc since my old provider can't prescribe anymore (thanks florida). she changed my dose from .55ml of 200mg/ml every 10 days to .25 of 200mg/ml every 7 days since my levels were a bit high according to her (650 6 days after shot day).
this honestly feels like a slightly drastic dose drop for levels that didn't seem too high... I'm going to trust my dr tho and adjust for now.
however, it's the first time my dose has been dropped since I started and idk what to expect. I've started strength training over the past 6 months, and i was wondering if I should expect slower strength/muscle growth because of it? any weight changes or anything either? i don't want my progress to be hindered significantly, since i'm finally in a place where i'm happy with my body composition.

An area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms is associated with a surface trough of low pressure interacting with an upper-level trough over the eastern Gulf of Mexico. Environmental conditions appear only marginally favorable for additional development over the next several days as the system meanders over the eastern Gulf of Mexico.
The system is then forecast to move across the Florida Peninsula this weekend and emerge into the southwestern Atlantic Ocean by early next week. Regardless of development, the system could produce heavy rainfall and gusty winds over portions of the Florida Peninsula later this week.

TL;DR I previously worked in elementary education for nearly ten years. I got my MLS a year ago and have been applying for jobs ever since. I really want to be an archivist as opposed to a librarian, but I'm coming up on a year of being unemployed and I'm at my wits' end.

A friend mentions that a school in my district needs a librarian, and she is close to people connected to the school and is giving hints that the job is mine if I want it. I'm very torn about it.
Pros:

The position makes good money, 20k more than I ever did teaching and that was offered by archival jobs I interviewed for. It's not that huge of a paycheck, but I'd be able to move out and live comfortably in my area.
I am familiar with school environments and elementary-aged children and can get along with them easily.
I am comfortable with the teaching aspect of being a school librarian.
I can still live at home while building up my savings again.
My parents are encouraging me to get the job. They are extremely supportive and I help out a lot at home so I'm no freeloader, and they wouldn't be upset if I didn't want to go through with it, but they know I've been stressed about not having a job and just want me to be happy.

Cons:

I want to be an archivist, not a librarian. Would this pigeonhole me as a librarian and prevent me from getting the archival position I truly want?
I live in a conservative state (not as bad as Florida but close) and I really hate these book bans and the politics surrounding libraries at the moment. I believe in freedom of information, and that it should be up to the parents if they want to police what their kid reads, not the library. I'm also decidedly more liberal than most of the people in the area, though of course I NEVER bring politics or current events into my workspace. If teachers can go under investigation for showing a Disney movie to their class, what if I accidentally say something that offends a parent who decides to put me on blast? I don't know what that might be since I do my best to keep my head down, but you never know what someone might get upset about.
I had bad experiences working in elementary schools that put me in therapy for two years. I got a master's degree so that I wouldn't have to work in schools again. I don't want to go back to having morning or dismissal duty, cafeteria duty, substituting in a pinch, being the school IT person, etc. It would make me feel like I did all that work in graduate school only to end up right back where I started.
Working in American schools can be dangerous. I hate to mention that, but I live in a very gun-friendly state and it needs to be said.

So that's it. It'd be great money and a familiar setting and I'd stop being a burden to my parents (though they insist I'm not a burden at all), but I wouldn't be happy or doing what I really want to do. Am I being too choosy? Should I just suck it up? I'd love to hear input. Please be kind, I've been beating myself up over this decision for a week now and I honestly don't know what to do.
