The Root Cause of Weight Gain and the Solution

Do you work out regularly? Do you hit the gym twice daily for at least six days a week? Are you also following a strict diet regime along with regular physical exercise? Now, the most important question is, even after doing all of these things, have you experienced any substantial changes in your body weight?
You might already know the answer by now. A significant number of people who diligently follow these workout routines and diet plans struggle to achieve their desired weight loss. This article will uncover the reason behind this common problem and introduce a dietary supplement that addresses the root cause. Let's explore the legitimacy of PurpleBurn Pro as a weight loss formula.

What is PurpleBurn Pro?

PurpleBurn Pro is a powerful dietary supplement designed to aid weight loss by boosting metabolism. Available in powder form, this supplement, when used consistently, can help reduce bloating and gradually transform your body into a leaner and slimmer version of itself. Its formula comprises 100% natural and plant-based ingredients, ensuring a safe and effective weight loss journey.
Manufactured in an FDA-Registered Facility in the USA, PurpleBurn Pro is non-GMO, GMP-Certified, stimulant-free, chemical-free, and easy to incorporate into your routine. The primary ingredient in PurpleBurn Pro is Kenyan Purple Tea leaves, along with 13 other carefully selected weight loss-supporting ingredients backed by scientific studies. This high-quality combination of ingredients not only aids in weight loss but also enhances your metabolism and strengthens your immune system.

The Science Behind PurpleBurn Pro and How It Works

PurpleBurn Pro is a natural dietary supplement that harnesses the power of its unique formulation of 14 potent ingredients. This combination effectively increases your metabolic rate, resulting in weight loss. Unlike other supplements that solely focus on burning fat or shedding pounds, PurpleBurn Pro aims to improve overall health and well-being.
PurpleBurn Pro helps you achieve a slim and fit physique through a remarkable compound known as GHG by boosting your metabolism and activating your immune system. This compound targets the root cause of stubborn weight gain, providing a comprehensive solution for long-lasting results.
Even if you adhere to strict diets and exercise regimens, you may struggle to eliminate stubborn fat from your body. This occurs because the presence of stubborn fat is not solely determined by what and when you eat. Various studies have revealed that weight gain occurs when your body prioritizes other processes, believing weight gain to be a lesser concern.
PurpleBurn Pro triggers fat-burning, effectively eliminating unhealthy accumulated fat and promoting a slimmer and healthier appearance. It's 100% natural ingredients, such as Kenyan Purple Tea, facilitate calorie burning, while Hibiscus helps in fat metabolism. Additionally, Oat Fiber reduces appetite and food cravings, and Purple Carrot provides rich antioxidant properties. This powerful combination ensures effective weight loss while supporting your overall health.

Unlocking Stubborn Fat with PurpleBurn Pro

PurpleBurn Pro targets the superficial layers of fat and delves deep into the stubborn fat stores. This unique approach ensures that the accumulated fat, which often resists traditional weight loss efforts, is effectively broken down and eliminated from your body. PurpleBurn Pro helps you achieve your desired weight loss goals by unlocking stubborn fat, resulting in a more confident and healthier you.
The Power of Natural Ingredients in PurpleBurn Pro
PurpleBurn Pro derives its efficacy from a carefully selected blend of natural ingredients. Each ingredient is vital in supporting weight loss and improving overall health. Let's explore some of these powerful components:
  1. Kenyan Purple Tea: Facilitates calorie burning, aiding in weight loss.
  2. Hibiscus: Boosts fat metabolism for improved weight management.
  3. Oat Fiber: Reduces appetite and curbs food cravings, promoting a balanced diet.
  4. Purple Carrot: Rich in antioxidants, supporting overall health.

2023.05.31 17:41 tb877 Just got a test scheduled in exactly two weeks time but already on a GF diet, is it enough to start eating it now?

I’m not familiar with this community so I hope this type of post is allowed.
I’ve just been scheduled for a colonoscopy+endoscopy in exactly two weeks time. They want to test me for Coeliac and Crohn’s. I’m already on a mostly gluten-free diet because I’ve found that only meat, cheese and some vegetables are safe for my digestive issues.
I’ve already looked on the web for the minimal time frame for a gluten challenge and the "newer" protocol seems to be 2 weeks of eating 1/2 slice of bread.
My test is in exactly two weeks and I’ve been gluten free for a long time already. Would eating 1/2 slice a day until the test prevent any false negative?
I’ve already phoned the doctor’s office, waiting for them to return my call but would want to have some opinion on this as quickly as possible so I turned to this sub.

2023.05.31 17:30 SeawardFriend Possible gluten sensitivity?

I went to urgent care yesterday because I haven’t been able to eat much food at all since last Friday the 26th without feeling extremely nauseous. They found nothing wrong, but they didn’t really do any tests aside from the typical eye, ear, blood pressure and breathing stuff you get at every basic exam. They prescribed a nausea medicine which did absolutely nothing for me the last 24hrs.
I ate some ramen last night just to get easy calories, and didn’t feel the greatest afterwards but thought the nausea medicine would work it’s magic and I could sleep it off. This morning was really rough because I tried going into work, but felt nauseous the whole morning and ended up backing out when I got there. I almost threw up on the way in the building, and as a result felt pretty weak and was sweating so I used the last of my 2.5 sick days.
I really don’t know what else this could be aside from maybe a gluten thing. I eat a ton of gluten every day and never thought I had issues, but after researching a bit, some symptoms line up. I haven’t had a completely solid stool since I was a child. I’ve experienced anxiety, depression, brain fog and fatigue for years now, which I’ve attributed to my lack of socialization and sedentary lifestyle. Recently however, with the addition of nausea and diarrhea, I’m feeling there’s something else at play.
I suppose there’s no way to diagnose this over the internet, but I’m planning on staying away from gluten for a few days and see how it plays out. If it helps, I’ll see a dietician and get some food sensitivity tests. If not, it’s back to the drawing board.

2023.05.31 17:18 Usual_Replacement_37 ✨As Julie Andrews once sang; “These are a few of my faaavorite (bag) things”✨

^(\Crossposted*)*

Good morning WLers. Hopefully someone finds it to be a good read while relaxing in bed, or waiting for their turn at the DMV. (My condolences if the latter is your situation, for this post won’t be nearly long enough to bide your time ...no post will ever be long enough).
So without further adieu:
As Julie Andrews (probably) once sang, what are a "few of your favorite [bag] things"? What are some little luxuries you lovely LL’ers like invest in/do, to prolong the life of your bags (reps or auth!)? What do you like to do to make/keep your bag feeling just a little bit more ✨special✨?
I think some of these little luxuries translate into a bag getting a bit more TLC, which in turn, I think can make you feel great about your bag, which can mean you just feel better about yourself. I also think the extra TLC can help a bag age gracefully, and potentially deter skeptical individuals from thinking that your bag may be a rep because of the extra TLC it receives.
Here are some things I've done/seen others do:

That’s all I can think of at the moment, but I would LOVE TO HEAR WHAT YOU GUYS USE/DO! Always looking to up my bag care game.

2023.05.31 17:11 ConsistentBridge5604 Quitting porn is like dieting

Last year I was watching porn around once to twice per week. If I had the house to myself it was inevitable that I was going to watch it, even if I persuaded myself I was going to do something more productive instead.
Back in 2015 I lost around 6lbs from dieting whilst eating 1,800 calories a day for 6 weeks. I felt really motivated at the time Now I'm back at the weight I started off at and my daily ritual is telling myself that the diet starts today!
I'm now 96 days into porn free with the same motivation I felt back in 2015 but for whatever reason I'm struggling to lose weight this time around.
I see so many similarities between quitting porn and dieting. Just stop watching porn for 90 days often feels like "just eat less and move more" for weight loss.
I think we all need to find the massive motivators that make us take action, whether that's finally convincing ourselves to stop or just refraining from urges long enough that we start to forget about them.
Day 96 of no porn today, roll on day 100.

2023.05.31 17:10 Joeyplantstrees Edible tree leaves pt 2

Edible tree leaves pt 2
A bit ago, I made a post about edible tree leaves and had a lot of people ask for more so I drew 8 more, and then I tried combining them all into a little coloring ebook and since Ive gotten a lot of positive response to those and needed to make the pages fit and flow right and had a large gap on each one, so I ended writing recipes for each one while I was at it. Which, a cookbook wasn’t what I was planning on doing when I got up this morning but here it is now.
The coloring/ebook is available on my Etsy, but most of the info minus the recipes is for free right here in this post. The ebook is just if you want to support me or print the pages out. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1493241397/edible-tree-leaves-coloring-bookcookbook
A tree once synonymous with the American countryside, American Elm (Ulmus americana) has multiple edible parts. The samaras (winged seed pods similar to maple spinners) and young leaves are both edible. The leaves have a slight mucilaginous texture (think okra). The inner bark has also been used as a traditional food source, but due to this and other species of elms native to the American Elms have been heavily effected by Dutch Elm disease, so the inner bark should be avoided and harvesting anything else should be only from healthy populations. You should also help propagate any populations you take from.
Chinese Toon (Toona sinensis), or xiāng chūn 香椿 in its native China is a mainstay in several Asian cuisines. Xiāng means aromatic and gives away the selling point of this tree as an edible. The young leaves are often consumed for their unique flavor that is a combination of onion, garlic and shallot. The flowers are also edible, and are usually consumed when they’re young and have a more mild flavor.
In addition to edible leaves, the Eastern Cottonwood (Populus deftoides) has buds that can be harvested in early spring before they fully open and have a pleasant balsamic like scent. The inner bark has also traditionally been used as a survival food. The barks and buds blabber traditionally been used by tribes such as the Haudensaunee, the Mohegan, the Kakota, Arapaho, etc. for it’s pain relieving and anti inflammatory effects.
Like other Ash trees, the introduction of Emerald Ash borer (Agrilus planipennis) has done considerable damage to its population. I choose Green Ash (Fraxinus pennsylvanica) for this list because unlike many other American Ash species, it is at least not currently listed as endangered but any harvesting should be done cautiously and respectfully from healthy populations. The seeds can be eaten raw or collected and ground into flour and young leaves can also be eaten raw.
A very common fruit tree that’s rarely appreciated, the Hackberry’s (Celtis occidentalis) name comes from the Old English haecce meaning bird, which is predominately what eats its fruit and spreads this tree. The berries (technically dropes or stone fruit), unlike most fruit, are calorie dense and high in fat, carbohydrates and protein that are easily digestible raw. On top of that, the young leaves are completely edible.
One of the more well known examples of cauliflory (flowers growing directly from branches and trunks), Redbuds put on an early display of bright edible flowers before it’s leaves even appear. Less known is that the seeds, twigs and leaves are also edible and can be tapped for syrup. It’s sometimes called the love tree due to its bright red flowers and heart shaped leaves. ‪Redbuds are also nitrogen fixing trees, enriching the soil around them.‬
Also called Juneberries or Saskatoons, with well known tart edible berries. The young shoots and leaves are also fully edible, as well as the seeds that can be ground as a flour or used as a thickener. The name serviceberry is thought to have derived from the arrival of the berries in spring serving as a reliable marker for when the ground was thawed enough for burial services to be held in early North American settlements.
Uncommon for trees, Spice Bush (Lindera benzoin) has berries with spicy, aromatic flavor similar to a combination of cloves, cinamon and allspice. The twigs barks and leaves are also edible, with a slightly more citrusy taste than the fruit that leads to them often being used as a spice from which it gets it’s name. It is the primary host plant of the spicebush swallowtail butterfly.
All of these can be tapped for syrup, although Green Ash and Serviceberry are the only two with a notable history of ever being used as such.

2023.05.31 16:36 Nolan- What were some really unhealthy meals and snacks that you gorged yourself on regularly before you said enough was enough and started your health journey?

Sometimes I think back on what I used to eat and honestly miss it lol I ate that way cause it was good and felt good, but man it sure did a number on me.
I had a problem with overeating on meals and eating way to many sweets at once.
Things I would do was like instead of making one turkey and cheese sandwich, I'd make 4. Instead of one or two little mini sausage biscuits I'd eat 8. I'd eat all 8 of the frozen burritos that come in the pack at once. Load it with cheese and sour cream and ketchup as well.
A regular McDonald's meal would be two mcdoubles, two mcchickens, a large fry and a large sweet tea. With tons of mayo and ketchup on the side.
A taco bell order would be like 4 soft taco Supremes, 3 beefy five Lauer burritos and a Baja blast.
I'd eat a whole large domino's pizza by myself.
I didn't even mention specifics with sweets but just imagine at least two sleeves of cookies with milk at once and I couldn't eat just one little Debbie item it was 2 at the least.
There's no secret to how you get fat. You eat more than you burn and boy I was sure was doing that. Probably average 4500 calories at the least.

2023.05.31 16:29 quickelefant I’m at a loss

I’m at a loss
Feeling so hopeless. Every morning I wake up and think it’s getting better but so far it’s been getting worse.
For context: my hair started shedding in February. I started breaking out in April and it got so bad this month. My blood tests came back with elevated DHEA levels but I couldn’t get in to the endocrinologist until end of July 😩
Here’s my routine -
AM: Vivant green tea cleanser, clindamycin, shesheido 42 sunscreen
PM: Vivant mandelic acid 3 in 1 wash, clindamycin, adapalene
I’ve cut out all dairy, I’ve cut back on smoking & drinking, I am already gluten-free. I change my pillow cases frequently and I am getting facials and peels monthly.
I am starting zinc supplements this week and spearmint tea. Otherwise I really don’t know :(
Posting this as a Hail Mary hoping someone sees something I don’t and can give me the miracle cure. Or really anything. I’m so so sad

2023.05.31 16:21 loveofworkerbees Really discouraged about last 5 pounds -- need advice

For context, I am recovering from BED. I had a particularly difficult winter, where I gained almost 10 pounds in a short amount of time from binging. I briefly went on a ketogenic diet because I also have PCOS and thought maybe the binging was related to insulin resistance, but I am also an athlete (not professional, but train about 3-4 hours 4-5 days a week with active rest days i.e. hiking or swimming for cardio). I had gotten down to almost my goal weight on keto but it really messed up my ability to perform athletically. I actually binged again on keto anyway, and gained back a little weight.
Well now I'm sitting about 5-7 pounds above where I know my body feels good. I am 5'3 and I tend to feel best around 116-118, but I keep weighing in between 121-123. I have been on a deficit, I eat between 1600-1750 calories a day depending on training load. And despite all of this, my weight seems to slowly be creeping UP. I weighed in at 122.4 today, and I had been 121 a week ago :(. I'm really frustrated, and I'm scared I tanked my thyroid or something because my temperatures have also been around 96.5 when waking, up to 97.8 by the end of the day, but I realized this because I was sick and took my temp to see if I had a fever and found it was really low? I went to the doctor, my TSH was normal but free T4 and T3 were at the very low end of normal. I know nobody can give medical advice but that's just some extra info.
Can the "whoosh" effect last for over a month? I definitely have increased my training over the past two months, at least in terms of adding yoga once a week and longer sessions with more endurance training and less strength training. But to GAIN weight at 1700 calories a day? I also generally walk between 7,000-10,000 steps a day. I am just utterly confused discouraged, it makes me want to give up. I realize I am at a "healthy" weight and I am VERY muscular, but the weight I gained I really associate with the horrific binging I did over the winter and I just want it off by now :(. I haven't binged in months, I thought by now it would come off. It doesn't make any sense. Anyway, any experiences/words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

2023.05.31 16:01 princesskeestrr Humpday's Healthy Recipe Tradeoff Extravanganza

I'm setting this post to come in mid-week to throw out some new ideas for healthy meals. Now. We are a varied bunch of redditors who possibly have dissenting ideas of what constitutes a "healthy" meal. I'd like to propose that we go with my definition of a healthy meal which is "relatively balanced and not deliberately poisonous" for my purpose of raising the world's two pickiest eaters. Why don't 5yr olds want to eat real food? Is that a thing or is it just my kids?
You know what? Let's make this a recipe competition. Best overall, best gluten free, best carnivore option, best vegetarian, pescetarian, and yes, even your best vegan recipes. Best under 5-min meal option? Best take out? Best breakfast, lunch, dinner. Give me ideas HO30! I will eventually get my act together to do the award thing. Will it be this week? Will it be next? Only one way to find out. Drop a recipe below and share the love!

2023.05.31 15:42 adh679 Areata progressing to Universalis

Hey Everyone,
Recently developed alopecia areata in Feb 2023, and lost a lot of hair specifically in March. probably lost about 60% of hair on my scalp, 90% on my beard, but still have eyebrows/lashes. I've been doing the following to treat it:
But recently I noticed patches showing up in my chest and leg hair, which is honestly more stressful to me (as a man) than the scalp hair loss. Weirdly I am also seeing some regrowth in the beard which is good. I have an appt w an alopecia specialist in 2 weeks during which I will probably discuss getting on Olumiant, even though I'm wary of side effects from JAK inhibitors. I guess my main questions to this group are:
Thank you - sorry for the long post. Just feeling a bit frantic and scrambling for some direction in this at the moment :(

2023.05.31 15:27 justsomeguy_why OMAD on a budget and short on time?

Hey there you beautiful people. I've been doing OMAD with very rare cheat days with a great result. I love it and fits my lifestyle a lot and gives me lots of confidence. However I have this issue where I overspend on food, because I eat in the middle of the day and I'm kinda forced to order food to my workplace in the middle of the day, I do that because I don't have lots of free time and I want to spend more time on other activities that I find meaningful. So here is my problem, I want to save some time and money on food but I have no real ideas on how to do it. How do I plan my meals and in order to fit in a decent mostly keto lunch with of 2500 maybe 3000 calories, yet not spend a whole lot of time cooking it. I know that eggs should be a staple, but what other food could save me lots of time and money in the long run?

2023.05.31 15:23 MC_NYC Sorghum... Buckwheat... Looking for gluten-free loaf inspiration

Hi, all,
Want to make a county-style loaf for a friend who can't eat gluten. I'll do it in the pan, since I know free form would be a mess. Flavorwise, what do people like, that's what I'm most curious about. The Bob's 1:1 seems less interesting, and rice flour in general, so I'm leaning more towards a sorghum buckwheat blend, maybe I can make a poolish for some added flavor? Millet comes to mind, too. Some butter and maybe honey. Should I scald? Should I sprout some grains... So many possibilities!

2023.05.31 15:19 humblygirl Gluten and inflammation

I was told by my endocrinologist that going gluten free probably wouldn’t make a huge difference. I suffer from inflammation, I workout (move my body in some type of way) probably 6/7 times per week and I cannot seem to break 150 lbs. I used to easily hover around 135-140 lbs easily pre diagnosis. I’m 28 F, newly diagnosed last year after getting off of birth control almost 2 years ago. Ever since getting off birth control trying to lose weight is so hard. I eat high protein for satiety, but I did have a blood test that said I was “gluten sensitive” (not celiac).
Would it be worth going gluten free? Has anyone tried this with success? I’m such a foodie so a bit nervous to cut that out tbh, but getting desperate for change.
